Chapter 1542: Time To Catch These Fists

Wow~ What a big crowd for little old me~ They’re really sending in the cavalry for this, huh?

I stood my ground, facing against the entire crowd of entities that were running towards me.

The darkness around me of the corridor was suddenly chased away by lights that came on at the walls, except that the lights were blood red in colour.

If I had been a normal person, I might still not be able to see the horde since the light was quite dim and might only just manage to make out something in the darkness charging towards me.

But to me... I was clearly able to see all of them even in this light so I could see the wave of creatures rushing at me as clear as day.

Well... Maybe not that clear but clear enough for me to know what’s coming.

I sucked in a breath and pulled out my Shadow Sword in my other hand before holding both swords out at an angle, facing the small army of entities without fear.

Focusing on them, I could see that they were a mesh of various different creatures which included even the ones that I have seen before on the earlier floors but there were several of them all in that same group running or slithering their way towards me.

The mannequins and the anatomy models weren’t freezing up just because I was looking at them either so I guess for this particular event, their weaknesses were removed.

I lowered myself into a stance, right as the first creature reached me.

This one was the first entity I saw, where it was the stick figure with the square head trying to attack me with its clawed hand.

I sliced my Light Sword through its neck and cut its head clean off even before it could fully raise its arm.

Before the entity could even realise I had cut its head off, I had kicked it aside and stabbed my Shadow Sword through the head of one of the mannequins before pulling it down to cut it in half.

The next entity shoved it aside before it could fall completely, rushing straight towards me with malicious intent and revealing itself to be one of those snake creatures with the human head.

This one I was especially pissed at since one of their own led me to a trap so I went ahead to stab both my swords into its eyes and pull them out before shoving them inside its mouth.

With my swords stabbed inside it, I lifted it up and used its body as a whip to swing it across the horde of entities behind it, smashing them aside like I was knocking down bowling pins.

I then spun one more time before swinging it away, launching the snake entity flying off into the crowd to smash itself against another one of its kind.

More of them rushed forward to fill the gap, the next few coming towards me as a wall of creatures trying to smash itself against me.

I held both of my swords in a cross in front of my chest, activating their enchantments before slashing forward.

The corridor was suddenly lit up with the light coming from my Light Sword and the unquenchable flames of my Shadow Sword, slicing and burning the entities in front of me apart.

There was a loud screech coming from the group I just cut and the ground shook violently, though I wasn’t sure if it was because I killed a particular entity to cause that or it was because the level was reacting to the number of entities being killed at the moment.

I didn’t have time to wonder why as another of that stick figure things came up to me and tried slashing its claws at me, prompting me to parry it with my Shadow Sword before slicing it horizontally into half with my Light Sword.

I was fully prepared to continue fighting all of them when I suddenly felt a tug on my body and then my body shifted to the side.

It was like someone had yanked me to the side and I slid across the floor, only that I did not move at all but the scenery around me moved instead.

One moment I was standing in that red corridor, the next moment, I was standing in an empty, squarish room with beige coloured walls and a single bright lightbulb above the ceiling.

There was also just a single door in front of me that yawned open revealing what looked like a decayed corridor outside.

I looked around me, checking to see if the earlier entities I was defending myself against were around but... This was really just a completely empty room with no signs of anyone around me.

But even though the room was empty... I somehow felt like there was someone watching me...

I turned my gaze towards the only exit out of the room and under normal circumstances, I would be stepping through the door right now to find a way out of this place.

Yet I had a very disconcerting feeling that I should not step through that door because something was going to come through it.

And as if responding to that thought, a figure appeared at the doorway, looking like a humanoid except that the figure was completely cloaked in shadow and had no facial features and had abnormally long limbs.

It had to bend down just to step through the doorway and even then, it was bending at the waist because the room was too small to fit it completely.

It then stopped a few feet away from me, its faceless head turned towards me as though it was inspecting me and deciding what it wanted to do with me.

I tilted my head at it, wondering what it was planning to do to me since it did not just attack me outri--

It reached out its hand and grabbed me by the throat, lifting me off the ground and squeezing tightly.

That... Actually hurt...

I responded immediately by slashing at its arm with one of my swords, slicing it clean off.

I dropped down on my feet and slashed my Light Sword across its body expecting it to cut through his torso easily as well.

Yet my sword struck its side and was deflected away like I had struck metal instead of flesh, forcing me to stumble back a step from the unexpected impact.

I looked up at the figure, ready to defend myself if need be and saw that it had already grown the arm that I had cut off back. Heck, the cut off limb that should have been on the floor had also disappeared as well.

Regeneration? No... It’s like it had simply reversed the fact that its limb was cut off and restored it...

It turned its faceless head back to me, giving me a look like it was curious about me.

It tried to reach for my neck again and I sliced it with my light sword once more, only for it to smack my sword away before immediately swinging back to slap me across the face.

I just stood there, surprised by the slap that I just received before I slowly turned my head back to look at the entity.

The slap wasn’t the kind of slap you would give to beat someone, but the kind of slap you would give to a misbehaving child.

This bastard... Did he really just...

It raised its other hand and tried to slap my other cheek.

I leaned back to avoid it and stored my swords away before lunging forward to punch it in the abdomen.

It was surprisingly light as the entity was flung back to crash into the wall, rocking the entire room from the impact.

I jumped after it, stepping on its torso before I started pummeling its face left and right.

It grabbed my wrists, attempting to stop me as it pulled my hands apart revealing my punches barely did anything to its face.

I growled at it and slammed my head forward, smashing into its head with mine and forcing it to let go of me before jumping back.

That was when I realised during the time, the room seemed to have expanded in size and it was now big enough for this thing to stand up without bending over.

It then stretched out its arms and it took me a moment to realise it was taunting me, daring me to try my best shot at it since it was clear that nothing I did actually damaged it permanently.

This bastard... It thought I was using my full strength all this while...

I did not hold back this time as I pulled my fist back and dumped several layers of buffs on myself before punching forward.

There was a thunderous ’BANG’ before the entity got sent flying into the wall with both its limbs torn off from the impact.

That’s right! I’m in the house now!! And you’re gonna be my bitch!!
