Chapter 523 - 288: Return of the Dragon Knight (Part 2)

In the crowd, all the men watching cast envious gazes toward the man with the Golden Eye on the mountaintop.

Isabella was a renowned heavenly prodigy of the Inner Side. The fact that Baron Constantin could make such a woman stand up for him on Traitor’s Cliff, even defying the Law... no matter how you looked at it, it was enough to make one a little jealous.

Freya clutched her Magic Staff tightly, watching from the crowd as Isabella activated her Beastification and battled fiercely amidst the group of Law Enforcers.

The eldest daughter of the Beowulf Family was actually willing to go this far for Baron Constantin. Why?

She didn’t understand.

’Could it be that Isabella also has a necklace like mine around her neck?’

It wasn’t just Freya. Some of the Old Blood elites in the crowd were already shocked when they saw Baron Constantin kill the Dragon Witch. But when Isabella showed she was willing to fight the entire team of Law Enforcers for him, that shock gradually turned into awe.

Baron was also a little stunned. He truly hadn’t expected Isabella to step forward at a time like this.

"Baron Constantin, what are you standing around dazed for? Hurry up and go!"

The message was sent via Spiritual Power, and Baron recognized the voice of Taoist Nun Lucy.

But he just smiled bitterly. At this point, it wasn’t that he wouldn’t run, but that he simply didn’t have the strength to.

The successive battles had already pushed him to his physical and mental limits. Not to mention, just forcing his way through the Flower Sea earlier had completely depleted his Spiritual Power, and it still hadn’t recovered.

Trying to break out of an encirclement of so many Law Enforcers was undoubtedly a fool’s dream.

Moreover, his intuition told him that he was now completely locked onto by Silver Lion Wilder. If he made any sudden moves, there was no guarantee Wilder wouldn’t just ignore all decorum and cut him down with a point-blank strike.

This was truly the end of the road.

He touched the Lucky Goddess Necklace at his waist and took a deep breath. He then gathered the last remnants of his Spiritual Power, trying to ignite the Dragon Flame on his body once more, but to no avail.

’Is this all the Goddess of Fortune can do?’

Just as Baron was about to plunge his Spear Sword into his palm and expose his Blood Faction abilities, he seemed to hear an incredible voice. His body trembled violently, and he turned to look into the Abyss.

There, a massive Golden Eye emerged from the white Abyss, like a giant golden wheel breaking through the clouds!

The moment this eye appeared, all the Wizards who were reinforcing the seal vomited blood as if they had all been struck a heavy blow at the same time.

Baron looked at the eye, and the eye looked back at Baron.

For some reason, Baron was reminded of the Big-Eyed Monster under the starry sky.

Then he heard it speak, its gaze fixed on him. "Do you still want power, Constantine?"

’Still want power...’ Baron’s expression changed. He sensed an unusual meaning in that short sentence.

But when he looked around, he saw that the battle between Isabella and the Law Enforcers was still raging. The surrounding Law Enforcers were still giving him all sorts of strange looks. Clearly, none of them had heard the eerie voice.

"Constantine, do you want power?"

The voice was very young and immature, not the sound of roaring thunder he had imagined. It even sounded a bit like a child’s.

"Constantine, why do you still hesitate? Have you forgotten our mission?"

Baron said in a low voice, "What mission?"

"You’ve forgotten, or could it be... you are not a Constantine!"

The massive Golden Eye submerged back into the sea of clouds. When it reappeared, more than half of the Talisman Stones at the edge of the area shattered!

"The Mad Dragon!"

Wizard K’s expression changed drastically. Without even wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he shouted Wilder’s name. Wilder’s decoy, which had been firmly locked onto Baron this whole time, heard the call and appeared by Baron’s side in an instant.

Truly in an instant.

By the time Baron sensed the threat from Silver Lion Wilder, the man had already shot straight past him, charging down into the Abyss.

Flashes of lightning erupted in the mist and Sword Qi crisscrossed the air. Only the massive black shadow of the Mad Dragon could be seen flickering ceaselessly within, like a beetle trapped in a broken lampshade.

"Those Templar Knights!" Wizard K yelled. "Stop worrying about Baron Constantin! Get your Knights over here to provide support! The Wizards’ Spiritual Power isn’t nearly enough."

Upon hearing this, the Templar Knights led by the Celestial Horse Knight Commander, who had been contemplating and hesitating, followed the reinforcing group of Celestial Horse Knights into the Wizards’ Array. Following Wizard K’s commands, they used their own Spiritual Power to help maintain the Array.

These events did not affect the battle that had broken out on the mountainside.

As the rewards offered by Elder Pence grew more and more generous, an increasing number of Law Enforcers joined the fight. Isabella and the Dragon Slayers began to struggle to keep up.

At the same time, some of the more cunning Law Enforcers tried to circle around from the other side of the mountain, but they were all ultimately blocked by the swift and powerful Isabella.

As the battle progressed, the Law Enforcers gradually noticed that something seemed off about the Dragon Knight on the cliff.

From the beginning of the fight until now, the figure with the shining Golden Eye hadn’t made any obvious moves, neither attempting to flee nor joining the battle.

He just stood quietly on the cliff, unmoving even as gales and thunderclaps crashed behind him, as if he were a tree that had taken root there and grown for many years.

Windsor grabbed Pound, who wanted to go to the mountaintop to take revenge on Baron for Soron, and shook her head at him. "Brother, you’re no match for Baron Constantin. Going up there would just be suicide."
