Chapter 477 264: Dragon Knight Attack?

"Does having an order emblem prove he isn't an imposter? Verify his identity!" Sad said coldly. "If he doesn't cooperate, execute him on the spot!"

His words, loud and cold-blooded, drew the attention of everyone in the hall.

Their gazes, filled with suspicion and uncertainty, landed on the young knight, seemingly curious as to why he had appeared here.

A Griffin Knight stepped forward to ask, but the young knight still refused to reveal any information, saying he would only speak to Silver Lion Wilder.

'Only willing to speak to Silver Lion Wilder…' Sad glanced back at Elder Pence and the High Priest. Elder Pence's eyes shifted, and Sad understood. He waved his hand and ordered:

"Seize him. Shackle him and interrogate him thoroughly."

"Stop," a woman's voice came from behind him.

Freya had arrived with the Lion-eyed Knights. She said, "Aile... You're Aile's companion."

Freya recognized the young knight's identity. He was a descendant of the Lancelot Clan and the companion of Aile, a member of the Lion Eye Knight Order stationed at Traitor's Cliff.

She had previously been prompted by Baron to send Aile and his companion to Traitor's Cliff to investigate the situation. Now, judging by the man's current battered state, the situation was likely grim.

With a flick of her wrist, Isabella sent Sad, who was holding the longsword, staggering back. She said coolly,

"Let the man finish what he has to say, won't you, Knight Commander Sad."

Sad's expression was grim and uncertain as he glanced at his own slightly trembling hand and sword. He said nothing.

Seeing this, Elder Pence leaned over and whispered something to the High Priest. The High Priest nodded and left.

Aile's companion glanced at Sad, then at Isabella. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he spoke in a trembling voice:

"The Lion Eye Knight Order, stationed three miles from Traitor's Cliff, was attacked..."

As soon as he said this, the surrounding Law Enforcers exchanged glances, all seeing the same disbelief in each other's eyes.

"Someone attacked the Lion Eye Knight Order? Who would be so bold? Was it Cultists or Lawbreakers?"

"Could it be the Dragon Eater Association?"

The crowd began to murmur amongst themselves. Seeing this, Aile's companion paused for a moment before continuing:

"The attacker was a Dragon Knight... Baron Constantin!"

The murmuring crowd fell silent, their chatter broken as abruptly as a wave upon a reef.

"If I heard him right, he just said the attacker was... Constantine, right?"

"Which Constantine?"

"Who else could it be? The one and only Dragon Knight Constantine! The one a director wants to make a movie about!"

The wave that had stilled against the reef began to churn once more.

The guests outside also heard what Aile's companion said and broke into a flurry of whispers and chatter.

Dragon Knight Baron Constantin attacked the Lion Eye Knight Order at Traitor's Cliff? Why would he attack the Lion Eye Knight Order? Was he just bored and looking for trouble? What connection could he possibly have with the Lion Eye Knight Order...

Hiding in the crowd, Baron and KK stared at each other, wide-eyed.

Baron thought, 'Hey, wait a minute, I'm right here. What the hell is this about attacking Traitor's Cliff?'

KK said, "They really are relentless, aren't they?"

"You're actually getting off easy," she said. "After all, as far as the world knows, the only one they worship besides the Dragon God is me."

Only then did Baron recall that the Dragon Witch and the Dragon Eater Association indeed had this deeper connection. He had even, for a fleeting moment, suspected Carmen because of it.

Though even now, he was still only half-convinced by the Witch's words.

Aile's companion hurriedly added, "I came here precisely to ask for help from Mr. Wilder and all of you Law Enforcers! I'm begging for your support!"

Just then, Elder Pence suddenly stepped forward and rebuked him:

"Are you spouting nonsense? Why would Baron Constantin attack the Lion Eye Knight Order at Traitor's Cliff for no reason? He just barely escaped from the Dracul Mountain Range. It's impossible for him to suddenly return at a time like this!"

Freya gave Elder Pence a surprised look, but then she also stepped forward and said, "Indeed. The Lion Eye Knight Order is stationed three miles from Traitor's Cliff. Other than the camp used for rest, what else is there that he would need? I think this might be a misunderstanding."
