Chapter 626 - 625 – Ice dragon clan’s civil war.

"Princess? Are you alright?" – asked the necro ice dragon in human form as he approached the princes.

"Ah! Yes… I'm alright." – princess Assinia finally replied to the worried dragon.

"…Are you by any chance sick? Or were you not getting enough sleep?" – asked the worried dragon.

"No… I'm alright… I just need time… To think about something… Please leave me alone." – said Assinia.

"Understood." – said the worried dragon as he fallowed the order, despise knowing fully aware of the fact that there was something wrong with the dragon princess.

"…"

(She is breaking apart.) – thought Thanatos who was also in that room and fallowed after the worried dragon.

(I guess the whole "you are useless now" kind of just shattered her.)

(She is either depressed, rampaging or thinking.)

(Simple put, a mess.)

(And her subordinates are noticed her change instantly, she couldn't hide it.)

(Some are even starting to doubt if maybe she was poisoned or was attacked with spell….)

(She didn't revealed the fact that they were abandoned.)

(And the purity faction are saying that it was without a doubt evolution faction… Which is true, even though they don't fully know the entire story.)

(From what I saw, the one that picked a fight and wanted to go for the kill was the member of purity faction.)

(However, it doesn't matter who did it, since the results are this.)

(Not only that, but the dragon who had died was a son of one of the more powerful dragons in the clan, who was also part of purity faction.)

(So yeah… Everything quickly went to hell after the whole "abandonment".)

(A lot of dragons are ending up injured, with some of the dragons ending up being left in near death state.) – thought Thanatos as she made her way outside of the castle.

(I think the civil war will happened pretty much about now… But it would be nice for it to happened before our army gets… Here?) – thought Thanatos as she noticed some dragons flying in panic.

Thanatos fallowed the dragons while staying hidden… And before long, she found out why.

"Oh… Lol." – said Thanatos as she observed a massive battle happening between members of the two factions.

"That ain't a brawl! It is straight up battle to the death right now!"

"Fuck me. The civil war is already on?!" – said Thanatos as she noticed that the dragons were heavily injured, with some sustain somewhat deadly injuries.

"STOP IT! FUCKING STOP IT!" – shouted one of the two evolution faction members that Thanatos.

The two dragons tried to stop the battle… But they were too late.

The dragon from purity faction unleashed his spell, unleashing an attack that caused countless number of ice blade to burst out from the ground, which ended up heavily injuring several dragons… And murdering one of them right on the spot.

"Shit." – said one of the necro ice dragon that were part of patrol… Who realized that they were too late.

As soon as the death occurred, all of the dragons… Well? They just snapped.

They didn't cared about holding back anymore.

All of the dragons started unleashing their full power, turning their entire surroundings into a battle field.

The two patrol units that wanted to stop the fight had tried to intervene by creating a wall of ice and bones, stopping both sides.

"STOP IT! ALL OF YOU!" – shouted one of the patrolling necro ice dragons.

"BEFORE ANYBODY ELSE GETS HURT!" – shouted the dragon… Before then noticing shadow that covered both patrolling dragons.

"!"

"Mister Deg?!" – said one of the patrolling dragons as the duo turned around, noticing a massive dragon behind them.

"Stop it before anybody else gets hurt?" – asked the pure ice dragon named Deg.

"THEN WHAT ABOUT MY FUCKING SON?!"

"!"

"Please! Calm-"

The two dragons tried to calm down the massive dragon… Only to then end up being grabbed by their throats by the massive dragon.

"No." – said Deg.

"The blood was already spilled." – said Deg as his ice started covering the dragons' necks, alarming them as they started trashing around in desperation.

"And now it won't stop." – said Deg as he straight up shatter both dragons' necks in front of everybody, straight up killing two members of the evolution faction.

"NOTHING WILL STOP IT!" – shouted Deg as he started unleashing his own attacks against the members evolution faction.

A war.

It could the only word that could be used to describe the current situation.

It wasn't brawl or battle.

Just straight up war.

The dragons from two factions and their servants started murdering each other.

The ones that tried to stop it? The patrolling dragons from two different faction?

Dead.

They were either killed when they tried to get in between and stop it.

Or they were removed by their own faction members in order to make them not intervene.

Obviously, the word about what was happening had straight up instantly arrived to the leaders of both factions.

The princess of the evolution faction tried to stop it.

But the princess of the purity faction said this.

"Fight."

"These bastard betrayed our own race and accepted this corrupt power."

"Exterminate them all for treason!"

She didn't ordered them to stop.

Instead, she just told them to fight to exterminate the "corrupted" ones.

Obviously, the princes of the evolution faction begged her sister to be reasonable… But she didn't cared.

With no choice left, the evolution faction organized their forces… And so.

The ice dragon clan civil war had started.

The dragons, lizardmen, dragonewts and all sort ice monsters that are part of ice dragon clan or served had all started murdering each other.

The corpses quickly started pilling up in and around the nest… But the war was obviously not going to end in just one day… Or even two.

"FUCK! THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE USING RAGING SNOWSTORMS?!" – shouted princess Assinia as she and two high ranking members of evolution faction held a meeting in their humanoid forms.

"Do they realize that at this rate the entire nest will be completely destroyed if they keep up their stupid behavior?!"

"…"

"A-actually… It turns out that princess Win is… She is the one who gave the order." – said one of the high ranking necro ice dragons.

"…Huh?" – the princess Assinia was dumbfounded.

"You are telling me… THAT SHE TOLD THEM TO?!"

"Does she realize what that spell does?!"

"It seems she is fully aware." – replied the second high ranking dragon.

"But she doesn't care about what will happened to the nest, until she exterminate every one of us."

"What in the actual hell is wrong with her?" – said princess Assinia as she grabbed her head.

"…"

"Contact the ice trolls. Request their help."

"!?"

"Wait, ice trolls?! You want to involve these beasts?!" – asked shocked second dragon.

"Yeah! I fucking know what they are! I had run in with them! But I also know they are strong." – said pissed off princess.

"I wanted to stop this war and pointless deaths from happening! But now?! We need to fucking win this war as soon as possible, before that brute of a sister and barbaric fallowers of her won't just kill us but themselves!"

"GO!" – shouted the princess as the two dragons instantly flew out of the room.

"…"

"The fuck is going on?" – asked the princess as she fell on her knees.

(I knew she was stupid… But THIS?!) – thought dragon princess.

(IS SHE JUST THAT STUPID?!)

(We are somewhat holding on thanks to our transformation which made us stronger than average normal ice dragon.)

(But still… They are fighting like savages! Like freaking animals!)

(I just can't believe it!)

(They rather kill themselves like idiots than just stop fighting?! Are they really that suicidal?!)

(Are they really members of our clan?!)

While the princess was beyond terrified and confused about the current situation, Thanatos was outside, monitoring the civil war.

"Seriously. The hell is wrong with them?" – said Thanatos to herself as below her was nothing more than destruction and death.

(When I first came here, this place was beautiful.)

(But now? Nothing but THIS!)

"Jezus…."

"I know I wanted the war to start… But they are really going at it."

(The army that Phantasia is leading will soon get here.)

(But at the rate things are going, they will just murder each other before-)

(Somebody is hiding!) – thought Thanatos as her detection skill noticed somebody hiding while using invisibility.

Thanatos strengthened her stealth, before moving closer to the source that was detected.

"?"

(Who are they?) – thought Thanatos as she noticed a group that was covered in rags and bandages.

(They are not from the ice dragon clan.)

(…Fuck.)
