Chapter 368: Chapter: 367 I have made the room... soundproof.

Julius had told Rosalina everything that had happened while they were in the lake, and now the two of them were making their way back toward their abode.

The conversation had continued even after they left the water, with Rosalina repeatedly asking questions whenever something caught her attention.

Julius answered as best as he could, although there were still plenty of things he himself didn’t understand. His body was also slowly recovering from everything that had happened.

The wounds he had sustained were still visible in places, but they had already closed, leaving behind little more than traces of what had happened.

Considering that he had spent the past thirty days unconscious, Julius was honestly surprised by how quickly his body seemed to have recovered.

"Hmm... so you’re telling me there is an temple roughly a hundred kilometers into the forest from here?" Rosalina asked, tapping her chin thoughtfully as they walked.

"Yeah." Julius nodded.

"And that altar also has a transportation gate connected to the 101st Treasure Tower?"

"Yeah."

Rosalina remained silent for a moment, apparently arranging the information in her mind. Julius then explained the rough plan he had come up with after everything Destiny had told him.

"I don’t know what’s happening outside right now, and honestly, I’m not sure how much the situation has changed while I was unconscious. But our plan is pretty simple. We go to the altar, absorb Destiny’s heart blood and awaken the third ability of our eyes, then use the transportation gate to reach the 101st Treasure Tower and obtain the legacy of the Invincible Path."

He paused before adding, "Though, things will probably be more difficult now that our identity as humans has been exposed. We don’t know how many people already know about us or what kind of reaction we’ll get once we leave this place, but we’ll manage, won’t we?"

"Mm-hm." Rosalina nodded without hesitation.

She then continued questioning him about Ian, the Invincible Path spell caster Julius had encountered inside the vision, and Destiny herself. She seemed particularly interested in the strange details Julius had mentioned about Destiny and the way she had behaved.

Julius explained everything he could remember, including the things he had observed about Ian. Despite being powerful enough to kill three Preserver Gods, Ian had apparently behaved in a surprisingly strange and even somewhat goofy manner at times, something that seemed completely at odds with the terrifying strength he possessed.

Julius described those moments to Rosalina, and she listened quietly while occasionally asking another question whenever something seemed particularly important.

The conversation continued throughout their journey, and by the time Julius finally reached the end of his story, they had already arrived at their abode.

Rosalina didn’t bother using an illusion to conceal the entrance this time. Leon and Sylviana were already there, and there was little reason to hide themselves from them, so the two simply entered directly.

As soon as they stepped inside, a familiar smell reached Julius’s nose. There was cooked meat waiting for them, along with a vegetable soup that was still warm.

"Must have been Sylviana," Rosalina muttered.

Without making much of it, she served Julius a portion before serving herself. The two of them sat together and ate, and Julius realized only then how hungry he actually was despite eating just about an hour ago.

After spending so long unconscious, his body seemed to be demanding far more food than usual, and the warm meal felt surprisingly satisfying after everything that had happened.

Once they had finished eating, Rosalina led Julius toward the room she had created specifically for him. Julius followed behind her, and when they entered, he looked around the familiar space for a moment before hesitating.

There was something he wanted to say, but for some reason, actually saying it felt much more embarrassing than he had anticipated.

"Ahem..." Julius coughed lightly.

Rosalina turned toward him.

"You... know, it’s been around five years since the last time we did it." Julius’s cheeks became slightly flushed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "And we don’t know whether we’ll have another chance once we leave this place. Besides..."

He hesitated for another moment before adding, "I’m feeling rather invigorated despite sleeping for thirty days."

Rosalina slowly turned around.

Her short black hair moved gently with the motion as she gave him an odd look, as though she couldn’t quite understand how Julius had arrived at such a conclusion.

She knew exactly why he felt so energetic after spending a month unconscious, and the reason had nothing to do with whatever he was currently thinking.

’Idiot... You feel invigorated because I fed you red meat.’

That was what she wanted to say.

But she didn’t.

Julius’s expression gradually brightened as he stepped closer, only for Rosalina to turn away and walk toward the bed without giving him the response he had clearly been hoping for. His expression immediately fell, and he followed her with a slightly bitter look.

"But why?"

Rosalina didn’t answer.

Instead, she simply climbed onto the bed and settled down before reaching out with her magic and extinguishing the source of light she had created inside the room. Darkness immediately filled the room, leaving Julius standing there with a disappointed expression.

For a moment, he simply remained where he was, feeling as though he had been given hope only to have it snatched away at the last possible moment.

He couldn’t exactly force the matter, either, and Rosalina’s silence made it clear that she wasn’t interested in explaining herself.

"Haa..."

There was nothing he could do.

Julius eventually walked toward the bed and lay down beside her, still feeling somewhat bitter about the entire situation. He had barely settled down when Rosalina’s quiet voice came from beside him.

"I have made the room... soundproof."
