Chapter 367: Chapter: 366 Destiny’s foresight.

Julius watched as Rosalina entered the lake. He had already jumped into the water himself, so he had a rather good view of her as she slowly made her way toward him.

Ever since he had awakened, he had noticed that Rosalina’s appearance had changed considerably. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Her hair was shorter now, framing her face differently than before, and somehow that simple change made her look even more striking to him.

Perhaps it was because he had spent so long unconscious and had not seen her for what felt like an eternity, or perhaps he had simply become more aware of her after everything they had been through together.

Either way, whenever his eyes landed on her, it was becoming increasingly difficult for him not to admire her.

With a few splashes, Rosalina swam over and stopped beside him. The water reached up to her shoulders, leaving only her head and neck visible above the surface.

Julius found himself staring for a moment longer than necessary before he quickly cleared his throat and looked away. He had apparently discovered that he liked short hair now.

Whether that was because Rosalina happened to look particularly good with it or because he had simply developed a preference for it, he wasn’t entirely sure. Perhaps he would figure it out later.

There were certainly more important things to think about right now, especially considering what he had experienced inside that strange vision.

Besides, if he allowed himself to get distracted every time Rosalina was nearby, he would never manage to have a serious conversation with her.

"Ahem."

Julius cleared his throat again, mostly to gather his thoughts. There was no particular reason for him to feel embarrassed about admiring Rosalina.

She was his woman, after all.

Still, this conversation required a clear head, and what he was about to tell her was far more important than whatever thoughts had been occupying his mind a moment ago.

Letting out a slow breath, Julius finally spoke. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

Rosalina turned toward him and looked up slightly. Even though she was tall for a woman, Julius was still noticeably taller than her, something that had always made their conversations look somewhat amusing from the outside.

Her expression was calm, but the moment she heard the seriousness in his voice, her attention immediately focused on him.

"What?"

"You see, when you used that spell, or whatever it was, to disconnect my consciousness from my body, I was transported into this forest."

Rosalina raised an eyebrow.

Her expression seemed to say, You were transported into this forest? Weren’t you here all along?

Julius noticed her confusion and immediately continued before she could interrupt.

"Not this forest as it is now. I was transported into a vision of this place from the past. I saw this forest before it became what it is today. I saw the aftermath of that battle between the three gods and that man from the Invincible Path."

The moment those words left his mouth, Rosalina’s expression changed.

Her eyes widened slightly, and the calmness that had been present only moments ago disappeared. Her lips parted as though she wanted to ask something, but she stopped herself.

Julius could see the questions forming in her eyes, but apparently she understood that he still had more to say. So instead of interrupting him, Rosalina turned her gaze toward the lake and remained silent.

Julius nodded and began explaining everything.

He told her how he had been transported into that strange vision, how the forest had looked completely different in the distant past, and how he had witnessed the aftermath of the battle between the three Preserver Gods and the man known as Ian.

He described the destruction he had seen and explained what had happened to the three gods. More importantly, he told her that Ian had been the one responsible for killing them, something that immediately made Rosalina’s expression grow heavier.

Then Julius told her about Destiny.

He explained how she had appeared before Ian, how she had spoken as though she already knew everything that was going to happen.

According to Julius, Destiny had claimed that she wandered all around the world and wanted to live like a mortal with Ian to experience life, but after hearing everything she had said, he couldn’t help but feel that explanation had merely been an excuse.

"She even said something strange," Julius continued, his expression becoming more thoughtful. "She said that her destiny was Ian or whatever..."

Rosalina’s eyes widened again.

This time, however, she didn’t speak.

Julius continued explaining their conversation, telling her how Destiny had apparently been able to observe him throughout the entire vision.

She had known that he was there. She had known what he was seeing. She had even spoken to him directly before he was finally sent back to his body.

"And that was probably the part that scared me the most," Julius admitted. "She was able to see me the entire time. I didn’t realize it at first, but she knew I was there. Just before I was sent back, she even started talking to me directly."

Rosalina finally turned toward him.

"What did she say?"

Julius gave a small chuckle, although there wasn’t much humor in it. "I was horrified when she said, ’You didn’t follow him today, did you, Julius?’"

Rosalina’s face became rigid.

Julius continued before she could respond. He explained how Destiny had spoken to him, how strangely gentle she had been despite being a goddess of immense power, and how difficult it had been to reconcile that gentle personality with the things she was capable of.

She hadn’t threatened him. She hadn’t tried to harm him. Instead, she had spoken to him almost as though they were having an ordinary conversation, despite knowing things that should have been impossible for her to know.

"She even knew about our meeting with Miasma," Julius said. "And she said that we would become allies."

Rosalina’s thoughts became increasingly chaotic.

There were simply too many pieces of information being thrown at her at once.

The ancient battle, Ian, the three Preserver Gods, Destiny’s knowledge of the future, her ability to observe Julius inside the vision, and now Miasma.

Each revelation seemed to raise even more questions than it answered. Rosalina had spent years trying to understand the mysteries surrounding her own existence, her eyes, the gods, and the strange forces governing their world, yet Julius had returned from that vision carrying information that seemed capable of overturning everything she thought she understood.

Julius, however, wasn’t finished.

"She also told me something about our eyes."

Rosalina slowly looked at him.

Julius’s expression became more serious. "She said that our All-Seeing Eyes and Rose Petal Eyes can’t be awakened to the third level."

Rosalina’s brow immediately furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"She said that no one can awaken the third ability."

Julius paused for a moment, allowing her to absorb that information before continuing. "At least, that’s what she told me. Apparently, the third ability is impossible for anyone to awaken normally."

Rosalina stared at him.

"Except her," Julius added.

That single detail made Rosalina’s expression change once again.

Julius continued, explaining that Destiny had shown him certain memories. Those memories had revealed something that Julius himself had never expected.

The forest they were currently living in hadn’t simply been an abandoned place left behind after some ancient battle. It had been deliberately created.

"This entire forest was made for us," Julius said.

Rosalina’s expression contorted.

For several seconds, she simply stared at Julius as though she were trying to determine whether he was joking. But Julius’s face remained completely serious.

"She didn’t tell me exactly why she made it," he continued. "But she said there would be someone who wouldn’t allow us to live peacefully. Not just us either. The Zlycons were apparently going to become a problem too. So she prepared this place long before we ever arrived here."

Rosalina’s eyes moved toward the surrounding forest.

The enormous trees, the strange atmosphere. The barrier that prevented the Zlycons from entering.

The dreams,everything suddenly felt different.

"She used her Rose Petal Eyes to create this place," Julius explained.

"She used the corpses of the three gods and turned the remains of this battlefield into an entire world. A world where Zlycons aren’t allowed to exist. That’s why they’re unable to enter this place normally. And apparently, that’s also connected to the dreams they experience when they come near it. Their imaginations become reality while they’re dreaming because of the power left behind here."

Rosalina’s breathing became slightly heavier.

She had already known that the forest was strange. She had known there was something unusual about its laws and the way it interacted with the Zlycons.

But she had never imagined that the entire place had been constructed deliberately, let alone that its foundation was connected to the corpses of three ancient gods.

"And here too," Julius said quietly, "she has placed something for us."

Rosalina’s eyes immediately returned to him.

"What?"

For the first time since beginning his explanation, Julius hesitated. He looked at her for a moment, then slowly spoke.

"Her heart blood."

Rosalina’s eyes widened.

"Destiny’s heart blood," Julius repeated. "She left it here."

"And apparently, that heart blood is the only thing capable of awakening the third ability of our eyes."

The lake became completely silent around them.

Rosalina didn’t answer.

She simply stared at Julius, her mind struggling to process what she had just heard. Destiny had created an entire world for them, using the corpses of three ancient gods.

She had anticipated that they would eventually come here. She had anticipated that they would be hunted. She had even left behind her own heart blood, something apparently powerful enough to accomplish what no one else could.

And somehow, the most frightening part was that Destiny had known all of this long before Julius and Rosalina had been born.

Julius watched her silently for a few moments before continuing.

"I don’t know why she did all of this," he admitted. "She didn’t explain everything to me. Maybe she couldn’t. Maybe she simply wanted me to understand enough to reach this place and discover the rest myself. But one thing is certain."

"And she knew we’d need this place."
