Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 335: Poison Dragon Guards Too Well
Serina walked in silence for several moments before finally speaking. "There’s something I don’t understand, Sis Linsey."
Linsey glanced back at her. "Hmm?"
Serina folded her hands behind her back. "In the first place, one of the main reasons we’re even considering joining Damian’s harem is because we need his help with our revenge."
She released a quiet sigh. "Isn’t that somewhat contradictory to what you just said?"
Linsey blinked.
Serina continued calmly, "You said we should finish our revenge and become free before joining him. Yet without Damian’s help, reaching the strength necessary to accomplish that could take us years."
Miona nodded immediately. "Exactly."
Linsey stared at them for a moment before casually waving one hand. "You two are thinking about this way too seriously."
Serina raised an eyebrow. "Am I?"
Linsey nodded, "Yep."
She then shifted the [Tempest Severing Chakram] against her shoulder. "You already know how generous Master is, right?"
Miona snorted. "Unfortunately."
"Exactly!" Linsey shouted, immediately pointing at her as though Miona had just agreed with something incredibly profound.
Miona’s expression twisted. "That wasn’t a compliment."
Linsey completely ignored her. "Master fucking loves giving us ridiculous treasures."
She proudly pointed toward herself. "Me, Evelyn, Cynthia, and Helena were able to finish our revenge because of the things Master gave us."
Serina’s expression changed slightly.
Linsey continued, "That doesn’t mean you have to officially join the harem first before he helps you."
She waved one hand dismissively. "Knowing Master, it’s probably the opposite."
Serina listened more carefully. "If he really decides he likes you two and wants you around, he’ll probably start throwing stupidly valuable gifts at you before you even realize what the hell is happening."
Miona frowned. "That sounds way too convenient."
Linsey shrugged without a trace of concern. "Welcome to life with Master."
Serina couldn’t help letting out a small laugh.
Linsey continued, "The important part is that you shouldn’t join him only because you need his power."
She tapped one finger against her chest. "Accept his help if he offers it. Get stronger. Finish your revenge. Figure out whether you actually love the bastard."
Linsey spread her arms. "Once all that shit is settled, then you’ll actually be free to decide whether you want to stay with him."
Serina slowly nodded. "I see."
Miona crossed her arms. "That actually makes slightly more sense."
Linsey looked offended. "Slightly?"
Miona growled. "Don’t push it."
Linsey laughed and waved them forward. "Anyway, stop overthinking everything for now. Let’s head back."
---
Meanwhile, Damian had already returned to where Cynthia and Helena were guarding the captured Nether Blood Moon Sect disciples.
The moment he arrived, he looked around at the prisoners and immediately frowned. "Wait."
His gaze moved across the kneeling women several times. "There were more of them earlier, right? Unless I’m remembering wrong."
Cynthia calmly nodded. "There were."
Damian pointed toward the empty spaces between the prisoners. "Okay. Where the hell did the others go?"
"Four attempted to escape," Cynthia explained.
Damian looked toward Helena. "And?"
Helena answered without the slightest change in expression. "Dead."
Damian stared at her.
Helena stared back. "They ran."
Cynthia calmly added, "We warned them not to."
Damian rubbed his forehead beneath his mask. "Damn... you two are fucking vicious."
Helena gave him a completely flat look. "You’re the one who told us not to let anyone escape."
Damian opened his mouth but stopped, then sighed. Thinking it would be too troublesome to argue, he only muttered, "Fair..."
Helena gave a small nod, apparently satisfied with that answer.
Damian turned his attention toward the remaining prisoners.
The women were now lined up neatly across the ground, all kneeling with pale faces and lowered heads.
Some had their hands trembling against their thighs, while others barely seemed willing to breathe too loudly.
Not a single one dared speak.
Considering what had apparently happened to the four women who tried running away, Damian couldn’t exactly blame them.
He looked over the prisoners for several seconds before exhaling. "Damn..."
Cynthia glanced toward him. "What?"
Damian scratched the side of his face. "Nothing. Let’s just wait for the others to get back first."
---
Not long afterward, several footsteps approached from the forest.
Linsey appeared first, casually carrying her [Tempest Severing Chakram] over one shoulder while Serina and Miona followed a few steps behind her.
Cynthia immediately noticed the two unfamiliar sisters.
Her gaze moved from Serina to Miona before one eyebrow rose slightly. "More prisoners?"
Damian nearly choked. "Hey! Don’t be like that."
He quickly stood and pointed toward the sisters. "These two are the demonic cultivators I told you about earlier. They’re basically my connections on the demonic side."
Miona’s expression twitched at the word connections, but this time she managed to keep herself from complaining.
Cynthia examined them for another moment before calmly nodding. "I see."
Miona glanced toward Cynthia and muttered under her breath, "At least someone here looks normal."
Helena heard her perfectly. "Don’t get comfortable."
Miona immediately turned toward her with a frown.
Helena didn’t even bother looking back.
Linsey covered her mouth, clearly trying not to laugh.
A few moments later, another group emerged from the direction of the battlefield.
Cassandra and Evelyn appeared first.
Several exhausted female cultivators from both the Blue Mist Sect and Nether Blood Moon Sect followed behind them.
Their robes were torn, their faces were pale, and judging from how obediently they walked, none of them had any intention of testing Cassandra or Evelyn.
Damian’s eyes immediately brightened. "Oh?"
Cassandra walked directly toward him and tossed a storage ring through the air. "Catch."
Damian caught it with one hand.
He immediately turned the ring between his fingers, examining it curiously. "What’s this?"
Cassandra gestured toward it with her chin. "Everything useful I found."
She glanced back toward the destroyed battlefield. "Basically whatever survived Linsey’s fucking tornado."
Linsey awkwardly scratched her cheek. "Oops."
Evelyn added in her usual flat tone, "Most of the battlefield was destroyed."
Linsey looked offended. "Hey, I said oops."
Damian immediately tucked the storage ring away inside his robes. "Hehehe... good enough."
He didn’t even bother checking what was inside yet. Anything free was already a profit in his eyes.
Cassandra turned toward the female cultivators she had brought back. "Alright, girls."
Several of them visibly stiffened.
Cassandra casually pointed toward the prisoners already kneeling nearby. "Go join them."
The newly captured women looked at one another nervously, but nobody dared argue.
They quickly moved over and knelt beside the others, expanding the line of prisoners considerably.
Serina and Miona silently watched everything.
