Villain Seduces to Rise in Status

Chapter 175 - The Heavenly Will’s Wrath

  • Next Chapter

Fully restored from the brink of annihilation by Sesrir’s help and his own core, Cale flew high above the mountain peaks.

Knowing the newly forged divine lightning body was still incredibly vulnerable as it stabilized its internal energies, he refused to leave its defense to chance.

Hovering at the center of the formation, he rapidly wove hand seals.

"Three Heavens Ban!"

Massive, sprawling discs of brilliant golden energy erupted outward from his figure, overlapping into immense, layered arrays that blanketed the darkened heavens.

"Heh... who knew I would be using these protection arrays one day? Just like the master said, you never know when such things can be useful."

Waves of vibrant purple and gold light violently pulsed across the horizon as he cast tens of immense protection formations, sealing the entire mountain range beneath a towering, impenetrable dome of energy.

’Sigh... but these are too weak against the heavenly will.’

The protection arrays he used were only Tier 3 and Tier 4. That was all he could manage at his current level. If he had more time, he could have cast even better ones, but there was none to spare.

Sesrir just stared in amazement from afar.

"Hah, I’m not even surprised anymore. What kind of creature is this? I thought he was only someone with good brains, but he has incredible array skills rivaling even formation grandmasters of big sects."

But then he sighed heavily.

"To think not just this kid but even I am thinking of the heavenly will as just another random occurrence. Hahaha."

It was ’the heavenly will’ , people usually died from it unless they were at the Boundless stage!

And this man was taking its toll alone!

Cale, floating above, smiled looking upward.

’Phew... is there seriously no other way? Although I did all this in the flow of things, but now that I’m about to face it... heh...’

He was nearly shivering. The heavenly tribulation before was a normal one — the kind people faced while ascending. But this today was a crazy man’s work. Who knew what kind of opposition would manifest?

He looked at the body floating in front of him.

With the massive barrier anchored in place, Cale wasted no time initiating the ritual of full possession.

At his silent will, the pristine, newly forged divine vessel — now clad in flowing white garments, slowly rose to float horizontally within the center of the formation.

Hovering there, Cale made hand seals, channeling his remaining strength to bind the physical form.

The luminous threads violently pulsed as they enveloped the suspended body, creating a cocoon of spiritual energy.

However, this blatant defiance of the natural order did not go unnoticed by the cosmos.

Cale’s eyes flickered.

’It’s starting...’

An oppressive, terrifyingly heavy pressure began to descend upon the mountain peak as the enraged heavenly will manifested itself.

The invisible, suffocating weight pressed down relentlessly against the golden dome, attempting to crush the array and suppress the possession.

There was no way the heavens would easily allow a mortal with two bodies — and one that was a Progenitor level, form at that.

People could create clone bodies, yes. But this was way too different. Clone bodies could never surpass the cultivation of their main body. And a clone body was inherently weaker than a real person at the same cultivation realm.

Moreover, to create even a Beginner Stage clone, one had to be in the Great Sage Stage. It wasn’t something anyone could just do if they wanted.

---

As the invisible pressure of the heavenly will bore down upon the golden dome, the tranquil sky above suddenly warped and fractured.

The atmosphere plunged into an eerie darkness before a terrifying anomaly tore through the sky itself.

A massive, sprawling vortex of blood-red energy erupted across the darkened heavens.

The terrifying buildup within the storm finally reached its zenith. With a deafening, world-shaking roar, the glowing epicenter of the dark vortex violently erupted, unleashing a beam of searing red energy directly toward Cale.

The devastating ray tore through the sky like a divine spear, slamming into the very top of Cale’s multi-layered golden dome.

A blinding, explosive shockwave of blazing orange fire immediately erupted at the point of impact as the two forces violently clashed.

The annihilating power of the heavens’ first strike viciously tested the tens of protection arrays, forcing the glowing barrier to fiercely flare and groan as it desperately held itself together.

Cale, who was currently maintaining it, coughed violently.

"This... this tribulation’s strength definitely is much stronger!"

Even as the heavens’ beam relentlessly pounded against the groaning outer dome, a profound serenity blossomed within the heart of the array.

Cale’s consciousness successfully pierced the final mortal barrier, fusing with the core of the newly awakened Astral Sovereign Body.

Floating within the center, the pristine figure in flowing white robes was suddenly enveloped in a breathtaking invisible cocoon.

Serene and unbothered by the wrath raging outside, the sovereign body hovered silently within its glowing sphere.

Its dark hair fluttered gently in the ambient spiritual pressure as brilliant, ethereal streaks of golden light continuously cascaded outward from its awakened core, forming Cale’s control over his new body.

"H-heh..." he coughed, pain lancing through his consciousness.

The relentless beam finally overwhelmed the last of Cale’s desperate defenses.

"Ah hell! This damned—!"

With a roar, the remaining golden protection arrays shattered simultaneously, triggering a explosion across the sky.

Searing rays of heavenly wrath pierced right through the epicenter of the exploding golden fragments, completely obliterating the dome and scattering the burning remnants of the arrays into the dark void.

The destruction of his massive formation sent an agonizing shockwave directly into Cale’s core. His consciousness violently reeled from the backlash, the pain nearly causing him to lose his grip on the fusion.

"Fuck! Fuck! This is crazy!" he coughed blood, clutching his chest tightly even as his consciousness remained anchored to the Astral body.

His mind was not stable at all.

’What to do? What should I... what the hell should I do...? Hmm, alright, let’s try this!’

Refusing to yield, Cale used a technique with desperate speed, unleashing his Beast Phantom Technique...

The crimson-lit mountain peaks violently trembled as multiple shadowy serpentine dragon phantoms suddenly erupted from his back.

Six massive ethereal beasts, each one radiating power that rivaled near Emperor Stage cultivators, surged with chaotic energy as they spiraled aggressively upward into the lightning-torn heavens.

These weren’t the simple lynx phantom he’d created before.

"Go! Fuck that thing up!"
