Urban's Fury: The War Dragon God
Chapter 1941 - 1940: Total Annihilation
Chapter 1941: Chapter 1940: Total Annihilation
On the other side, Sikong Yu, wielding the Red Tassel Spear, was also radiating with a heroic aura. With a single thrust, she pierced through the throat of the Snake Clan chiliarch. This Snake Clan chiliarch was quite the beauty, but encountering Sikong Yu, she was given no mercy.
With the three chiliarchs slain, the six deputies were now missing arms or legs. Seeing Li Feng and Sikong Yu instantly kill the three chiliarchs, the remaining few Demon Clan members who could still stand immediately activated their bloodline.
But their bodies were already riddled with wounds. Although their unleashed bloodline power was imposing, in the face of a full-strength Li Feng and Sikong Yu, they were completely overwhelmed.
If the three chiliarchs were unharmed, they could have assisted in besieging Li Feng and Sikong Yu, possibly with a chance of victory. But now, their injured bodies had greatly diminished their strength; they likely couldn’t even withstand a single round.
However, these men did not intend to live and directly detonated their bloodlines in self-sacrifice.
But Li Feng would not give them this opportunity. The Soul Extinguishing Needle appeared ghost-like beside these men, piercing through their temples and penetrating their minds.
In less than ten seconds, all Demon Clan members above the rank of centurion from the three thousand-man teams were decapitated, and the entire Demon Clan camp hadn’t yet come to its senses.
Li Feng and Sikong Yu exchanged a glance. The entire Demon Clan camp was now leaderless. The two soared into the air again, then flew along the ground, Vermilion Bird Wings slicing through the camp as the Vermilion Bird Fire instantly adhered to the tents.
The Vermilion Bird Fire clung like maggots, unextinguishable unless everything flammable was burned. Li Feng dashed across the camp, leaving a sea of fire in his wake.
The Demon Clan’s tents were stitched from animal skins, which naturally carried oils. Once lit, the fire spread rapidly.
Moreover, the camp was chaotic, barely divided by tribes, with no firebreaks or the like. Meeting the fire now, they had almost no way to respond.
With the Demon Clan camp leaderless, no one organized any defense, and the camp instantly fell into chaos.
Li Feng rampaged through the camp thrice, setting more tents ablaze, then began clearing away the gathered Demon Clan members. Although the centurions were dead, these three thousand-man teams were Demon Clan elites, seasoned killers. After their initial panic, they began to cluster together.
Li Feng would never allow this to happen. Whenever he saw more than ten gathered Demon Clan members, he immediately attacked. Though the remaining Demon Clan members were formidable, before Li Feng, they were like mantises trying to stop a cart, the gap in strength too wide.
It’s like Foundation Establishment facing Golden Core; if the Golden Core was newly entered, maybe one could pile on with numbers to defeat it. But Li Feng’s strength had long broken through to the Golden Core Late Stage. With the Vermilion Bird Egg merged into his dantian, Li Feng now had a nuclear power core.
Furthermore, the surrounding flames continued to spread, further boosting his aura, as these flames were entirely under his control.
Quickly, the Demon Clan within the camp crumbled, scattering in all directions, but escape was not so easy. The surrounding wooden fences had long turned into a wall of fire blocking the way, and all passable gates were sealed.
"They really are weak."
"They’re not weak; they’ve been scared out of their wits."
The flames continued to consume the air within the camp. The Demon Clan members unable to escape in time were either burned to death or suffocated, and those trying to break through were intercepted and slain.
Golden crow returning home, the sky began to darken.
The camp had fallen into silence, and the fiercely burning Vermilion Bird Fire started to extinguish as the camp had been burned to a white ground, leaving no bodies to be found.
"Camp Master, scoured the entire camp, not leaving a single survivor."
Lei Ba was somewhat excited. Though most of the work was done by Li Feng and Sikong Yu, completely wiping out such a camp was still thrilling, especially since they hadn’t lost a single member, merely extinguishing three Demon Clan thousand-man teams.
Exchanging it for military merit would be enough for a title.
After all, on a battlefield, eliminating these three complete thousand-man teams without equivalent losses among human cultivators would be difficult.
"Has Shadow not returned yet?"
"Not yet. Shadow took people to the outskirts to hunt down stragglers; not many escaped, should be back soon."
"What about the beast pen?"
"Also secured. The Cat Clan’s mounts are a type of wildcat, belonging to companion mounts, challenging to control for us, and these wildcat mounts are not large enough for us to ride."
"The Bullheads have hundreds of heavy horned rhinoceroses. Though horned rhinoceroses have strong explosive power, their speed is average, suitable for charging in battle, not for travel."
Not all Demon Clan tribes have cavalry: the Cat Clan has Cat Clan Scouts mounted on the wildcats, while the Barbaric Bull Tribe has heavy horned rhinoceros cavalry.
If a thousand fully armed bullheads mounted on heavy horned rhinoceroses launched a charge, even a Golden Core Late Stage cultivator would have to avoid their edge.
"Oh."
Upon hearing this, Li Feng went to the beast pen. Wildcat, like a smaller lion, adept at sprinting but indeed not suitable for humans to ride, as the wildcat’s low stance makes it difficult for riders to properly position their legs.
While the Cat Clan are diminutive, fitting well.
On the other side, the horned rhinoceroses were the extreme opposite of the wildcats, resembling rhinos with tough, thick hides, akin to terrestrial tanks, broadbacks that could easily accommodate three or four people, let alone one.
These suited the tall and burly bullheads well.
Li Feng looked at the several hundred horned rhinoceroses, turned to Lei Ba and the others, saying, "We’ll ride them. Tonight, we’ll keep moving, resting on the backs of these horned rhinoceroses as we raid the next Demon Clan camp."
"Huh?"
Lei Ba was momentarily stunned, while Li Feng didn’t explain and simply turned around.
"Isn’t this a bit risky?"
Sikong Yu looked at Li Feng with a furrowed brow.
"Once the bow is strung, there’s no turning back, and besides, these big guys are not for retreating. Also, haven’t you noticed how lax the Demon Clan is?"
"The other side simply doesn’t suspect anyone would attack here; there’s a total lack of vigilance. We can follow a script."
"You’re planning to fake an order from the Demon Clan commander?"
Sikong Yu asked.
"Why not? The enemy thinks we’re Feather Clan dispatch runner soldiers, so why not play the role? And I’ve seen this Demon Clan camp is just a relay point; though there are ample materials inside, it’s mainly for traveling Demon Clan members to rest."
"So these camps don’t have many Demon Clan members; if we seize the opportunity and act quickly, we could flatten a Demon Clan supply line."
Li Feng was somewhat invigorated; the battlefield was his most familiar place. Despite its differences here, with no hot weapons, the principles remained the same.
Sikong Yu looked at Li Feng in silence. She had to admit Li Feng’s idea was crazy, yet it gave her an illusion of likely success.
After all, this camp beneath them was proof.
The Demon Clan would never have expected such a daring human to appear in their hinterland.
