Chapter 572 572. PROJECTS
Silver lights shone around Noah’s seemingly floating and cross-legged figure. His eyes remained opened and blazed with its silver light. Literally, thousands of simulations ran across his mind and he nitpicked the ones he needed and the ones he found interesting.
pàпdá-ň?νêι.сóМ His knowledge of inscriptions was incredibly valuable, as the fact that he could now create certain items or runes to fit his needs was enough to understand their value.
Silver essence spun around his figure, but they never left the bounds of his concealed area. Those essence formed various lines and symbols in subjection to the various ideas that ran through Noah’s mind.
To fit his needs for the upcoming attack against the three noble estates, Noah moved to create four different sets of inscriptions that would be required.
One of them saw him looking to create a series of lines imbued with the sole role of concealing the events that happened within a certain place.
Unlike what he could do with his consciousness, Noah needed those lines to generate a field that both acted as a barrier against external forces and internal forces. He needed nothing to be capable of going in or out of the barrier if they were not permitted. At least for a set time.
The barriers that would be generated by the lines and symbols would be of three layers, allowing for better security. Still, each of them would need to be in the higher stage in terms of power.
The second saw him creating lines or symbols imbued with the role of negating the inevitable flare of massive power those barriers released.
This remained a crucial aspect of his creation as he didn’t want anyone powerful to notice anything special had occurred.
The third saw him heavily utilizing his affinity for light to create an array that would display normal scenes of the daytime, noontime, and nighttime of the various estates.
This caused him to send Erolia out possessing items he created to record moving images of the environment and all that happened throughout the day, noon, and night of the various estates. .
He required her to place these said items at four points of the estate’s environment to get a full 360-degree view. He didn’t want blind spots in the illusion.
He asked her to plant those item’s around the different estates as he would be leaving them for three days straight.
The fourth project saw him creating items that bore his aura and presence as this would allow him to send individuals who were not him into that enclosed environment. They would be the only permitted individuals.
To complete this project, Noah understood he’d need to tune all four aspects of those inscriptions. Especially for the free entry of his sent individuals. He needed them to be capable of leaving and entering as they willed without distorting the barrier and illusions.
There was a fifth project, but it didn’t have to do with the eradication of the noble families. To allow the first four inscriptions to carry out their purposes, Noah needed to explore the underground system that existed beneath all three noble estates.
Yes, underground systems, but those underground networks weren’t the more intriguing details. That title would be given to the malevolent aura oozing from beneath the domains of those noble families.
The order brewed something and even those noble families seemed to have no clue. Unless they did, which would make Noah need to at least keep one of their descendants alive to extract information.
Before the time of carrying out the eradication, he needed to find out what existed under that place since it placed a threat to his group members and even the entire mission. He hoped to have at least a day go by before the deed was found out.
The underground networks complicated the matter. But he already had a plan for that expedition.
He would conceal himself and Erolia to enter the grounds and understand what was going on.
Noah could only do so much however, finalization of the various approaches for the four projects consumed a whole day, not to talk about the creation of the orbs that gathered moving images. Essentially a video recorder.
By the time Noah knew it, the third day of his entry into the Yeldel city arrived, and being early in the morning, he had to set out to go spectate James’ battle.
‘All this might take more than a week,’ Noah shook his head, allowing the spinning symbols and lines and masses of essence to disappear.
The bright silver light that existed around him as a show of his mental waves at their densest vanished and Noah revealed that he had been within a dark cave.
The moment he stood from the platform of wind he sat on, Noah felt an explosion make the entire cave tremble violently. He did not worry, however, since Erolia would be the cause of that event.
Stepping out of the cave and looking to the left, a bloodied scene unfolded in his silver gaze, but he hardly cared about it.
A huge white mass streaked across his figure, missing him by mere inches. The said figure smashed through layers upon layers of the mountain’s density to arrive at a distant portion.
That land formation was huge but barely attended to, which had; by some miracle, birthed tier 4 beasts.
A figure flickered before Noah’s figure mere instants after that event and Erolia immediately began to float around Noah, inspecting him frantically.
“Oh, my gosh! I didn’t see you there. I was having too much fun.” Her tone spoke of her genuine worry.
“It’s alright. I expected as much…” Noah waved her worry off, stepping forward to walk down that tunnel in the mountain.
“How does it feel interacting with magical beasts?” He asked, not minding that he stepped into whole pools of blood. Erolia had killed all three tier-4 beasts within that place and the moment Noah walked past their dead bodies they shattered into motes of light to converge on his body and disappear. He stored their cores.
Even the giant white bat that had almost crashed into him experienced this. As long as his mental waves could touch it he could activate that ability.
“It was strange,” Erolia replied, falling into a bit of thought. “I can clearly communicate with them—like with humans. But they don’t listen to reason and are slaves to their primal instincts. Like constantly angry or deranged individuals. There was no choice but to put them to death.” She explained, utterly calm about the subject.
“Hmm… even I have limits since I’m not a magical beast,” Noah commented, making even the spilled blood turn to usable energy for him. When they left that mountain, only signs of struggle could be seen. Apart from that, nothing else.
Besides, Noah had reclined at its very peak. Its cold and stormy peak.
“These tier-four beasts were different than I thought maybe because they evolved within the chambers of this mountain, but they were dumber and more aggressive towards me.” Erolia further explained while she floated close to Noah as they left the tunnels.
“Well maybe the next one will be better,” Noah commented when his eyes fell on a snowstorm. The peak of the mountain was a different world compared to its lower and warmer elevations.
Noah could put that weather under his control, but he didn’t care to do such.
Erolia nodded at his words, falling silent, then both individuals shattered the sound barrier to leave the bounds of the mountain. Their departure remained unnoticed due to the situation of that mountain so they silently traveled towards the region hosting James’s battle.
