Chapter 55 55. MANSION
That sentence could mean a lot, but currently they didn’t care about that, as immediately he finished his sentence, a relatively big bag appeared on his palm, and he threw it on the ground, right in front of the experts.
The sound of coins clinking and rustling, spread in the air, followed by the silver glimmer of those coins, which confirmed that they were all silver coins!.
The experts all gazed at the bag of coins for a few seconds, then back at Augustus, as they couldn’t help but swallow the lumps of saliva that had unconsciously accumulated in their mouths.
“There is more where that came from. “This is for the troubles of last night,” Augustus said.
“Anyone who wants to leave now, can leave, I’ll pay you half of what I promised,” Augustus continued, “But if you stay and continue with the new change if plans, I’ll triple the price”.
Their eyes were wide open, at those words. ‘Tr…triple’, Noah said inwardly, cold sweat dripping from his back.
Glancing at the others, he saw that no one seemed ready to move, as the area remained silent for a few minutes, until Augustus nodded, then his voice rang out.
“Luke!,” he said. Who immediately rushed into their midst, and placed a big map on the ground. Gesturing at everyone to gather around it, his voice rang out.
“We are changing our route. Our destination will remain the same, only that we are going to stop at a mansion along the way…..” he started, as the voice of Noah rang out.
“What exactly are we doing, when we get to this mansion?,” he said as the others nodded in affirmation.
“Attack it,” Augustus said. As everyone turned to look at him with weird expressions.
“There is someone we have to take with us to Crilion, I was going to postpone this after i met with my friend, but things have changed I am pushing this forward,”. He explained.
“But don’t worry, the mansion is only run by three individuals in the peak of tier 2, but we’ll deal with them,” Luke added.
The minds of seven of the mini experts went through different emotions, as the thought of fighting people in the peak of tier 2, scared them. And only Noah remained calm, as his voice rang out.
“Will they be aware of our arrival,” he said with narrowed eyes.
Heaving a sigh at how precise Noah’s questions were, Luke opened his mouth to talk. “Yes they might..,”.
The already gradually receding fear in the minds of the group, apart from Noah, returned; as weirdly the thoughts of leaving crossed their minds, but when they glanced at the bag of coins it vanished.
“Once again do not worry, we have a solution for that,” Augustus voice rang out.
Doubts surged in the mini experts minds, as they wanted to voice out their complain, but when they saw Noah’s calm expression, they could only push it inside, as the doubts fed on their confidence.
Unknowingly to them, the reason Noah wasn’t scared, was because he knew unless someone in the tier 3 or higher attacked them, no one his level could really put his life in danger, after all he also had his Superspeed.
The planning continued for a bit more than two hours, by that time the sun was already a bit high up in the sky.
Many topics were discussed as according to Luke’s calculations, if all went well, they would get to Crilion at just a day or two late, which wasn’t much, considering the fact that they would be changing routes, and even engaging in a fight.
With the planning done, they set out after they had burnt the corpse of Matthew, they didn’t know his family, or if he even had one, and couldn’t bother with his corpse.
Once again, Noah’s figure was at the forefront for a few hours, but when they got to the diversion point, the carriage slowed down, though still fast, it was slow enough to allow the mini experts, fanout on all sides of the carriage, with Luke on top of it.
It got to a point where they encountered a few magical beasts that had strayed from inside the forest.
The beasts were mostly in tier 1, for the first few days of their travel, but then they began to encounter tier 2 beasts, which were all easily taken care of, since the creatures were mostly in the lower stage, and only a few in the middle stage.
The multiple nights of no attacks, or incident at all. Increased the tension in the minds of the group, not even Noah escaped that feeling, since his life was on the line every time he wasn’t looking.
The group bonded more, they weren’t yet in the stage of friendship, but already good aquintences, the multiple nights of talks, made the ever-hanging fear of death, bearable.
Coupled with the magical beasts the group met on the way. Which they used as mediums to vent their frustration.
The Mana denisty in the area steadily began to increase, as lush greenery eventually entered their sigh after eight days, into their journey, at this point their position to the mansion was only a few couple of days away.
During those days, Noah and James, could be seen sparing with each other, but this wasn’t a normal spar, since Noah wasn’t weilding his staff, but a pair of Daggers.
During their training, Noah found out that James wasn’t just very good with daggers, he was a frigging monster.
His agility and precision scared Noah to no end. Noah confirmed that if not for his slow motion skill, he would die multiple times in one fight.
Though thanks to his innate ability, ‘Speed learning’, it only took Noah five days to get up to a standard level though not yet as good as James, he was at a level where he could utilize his dexterity skill to almost it’s maximum, killing magical beast became easy, as once, Noah even regretted choosing a staff instead of a dagger, but he pushed that to the back of his minds, after all learning two weapons was very good.
As Noah improved in his dagger learning skills, James also improved. He found that Noah was a monster when it came to dodging, only when Noah feinted attacks, would he be able to touch him, as his friend seemed untouchable and all knowing, which helped him making in good decisions, as he also saw himself get faster after every exchange, since he always tried to match Noah in terms of speed and stamina, but always failed, though most of the times he would almost be close, but Noah would seemingly turning a blur, and that was it, he lost.
Once in a while the others from the group would join their spar, as they gained respect for each other.
While Noah found that surprisingly, ice actually slowed him down.
Whenever he was in a one on one fight with Mona, each time she spread her ice in the environment, Noah’s agility and sheer speed would reduce by a significant margin, though he was still very fast, he wasn’t at his fastest.
During one of those days, Noah decided to check this incredible woman’s status, and when he did, his view of the world changed.
[Mona]
[Tier: 2]
[Level: 37] .
[Chances of death: 54%]
Tremors ran through Noah’s mind when he read this. Surprising Mona had the highest chance of killing him, than even the experts in the peak of tier 2.
Noah had not yet understood how the system gauged a person’s fighting prowess, but he now he knew that their element was also a big playing factor.
On their eleventh night into the journey, after they had finished setting camp, when Augustus exited the carriage, because the next day they would reach the mansion. This made a lot of the dispersed tension return as this was kind of like a grand finale.
Augustus brought out items, which he explained would cover their presence, to not alert the guards of the mansion. They had all kept it for the night, since he explained it would only last half a day.
On the twelfth day, they set out, as most of them slept very well the other night, after all the next day could be their last.
They ran for a few hours but this time much more slower, because the plan was to attack during nightfall.
After a few hours past afternoon, they made a quick stop, whereby they all wore the items, rested a bit and continued.
After about two hours later, a massive brown mansion entered their sights.

Hey guys, I’m here again, I’ve been thinking, how about I change the release frequency to only Saturdays, but this time around 14 chapters every Saturday.
The chapters are progressing too slowly, and I want to change that.
Though it would depend on what you guys say. Please tell me if you would be okay with that, or if you are okay with one chapter per day. You can do that in the comment section.
Thank you.
I’m really sorry for taking your time.
