UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 546 546. READY

Noah appeared before his group mates with the force of a speeding jet. The ground shattered and the wind blew violently whilst he simply flickered in front of them.

The event startled them since his aura was out in the open, but he didn’t let it affect them.

“I apologize for the inconvenience. Are you all okay?” He asked, the recovering cultivators, and they nodded, quite stunned about the turn of events.

Their eyes caught sight of the explosions in the distance. The flashes of light and the roars of lightning bolts reached them. The bangs that erupted as a result of multiple clashes reverberated throughout the regions.

The fight between Erolia had quickly escalated into a high-speed battle. Those experts would almost be unable to see what was going on.

“W… who’s fighting the higher stage?” Cora asked still shaken. She had seen her life flash before her eyes during those few moments under the influence of the foreign expert.

“Erolia, my bond,” Noah responded and watched their eyes widen in a new level of shock.

They had naturally arrived at the conclusion there weren’t others on the battlefield than them. Still, a middle stage battling a higher stage was akin to suicide. But he seemed unworried, as usual.

“She’ll be present in the other missions too. And you guys should get over your amazement. I understand there are a few things that don’t make much sense, but this Is the reality of things. To have my type of power you have to cross the bounds of reason,” he explained stretching his arm forward.

Cora held onto him and he pulled her to her feet. The others stood at that point.

“You should start distributing the devices,” Noah announced.

“What about your pet? Can she handle them?” Davis revealed his concern.

“I’ll end everything before she dies, so relax and focus on the mission. We’ll take care of the intruder.” He assured the man, placing his hand on his shoulder. “It’s my fault after all.”

His added words confused them. But they would do as he ordered. The lack of concern he exuded spread to the entire team as their trust in him grew to levels they never expected. He felt dependable.

A flash of cerulean and golden light reached their eyes pulling their attentions to the battle far ahead.

They watched a huge crackling bird-head descend from a resplendent silver cloud to engulf the world below it in a terrible discharge of golden, cerulean, and silver sparks.

Shock waves unfolded into the regions at that point. That blast of power pushed waves of wind across the surrounding areas. Those experts repelled the flying bits of dirt with their mental waves.

“Things are getting serious,” Noah muttered, watching deep-purple; almost black, miasma engulf the crackling head to transform into rope-like limbs latching onto the head to squeeze till it shattered.

A spectacular explosion reverberated quickly after, sending huge waves of dirt that swept across the surrounding vicinities.

“Are you alright?” Noah asked Erolia through their connection. He could sense her getting hurt. She had already utilized a significant amount of her reserve in the battle with the middle staged experts, her other attack had further chipped away at her reserves.

“She’s strong. And utilizes some weird and dangerous illusions born out of her wind and darkness affinity,” Erolia explained through their connection.

“Will you be able okay?” Noah questioned ready to step in depending on her reply.

“I’ll be okay for a while master. But unfortunately, I will be unable to eradicate her. I’ll tire long before she reaches a weak enough state,” she responded, quite disappointed about that evaluation.

“No worries then. Inform me when you’re ready to switch,” Noah replied, whilst Cora shared the devices they would be planting across the area.

“That’ll be in about three minutes.”

“I’m sorry I couldn’t be of much help, master,” Erolia apologized, genuinely saddened by her situation.

“You’ve done enough. Besides, I never thought you could kill her. She’s an expert sent to battle someone at my level. She survived more punches than most and is still capable of keeping you at bay. She meets the hype,” he explained, shaking his head to wonder how strong the next experts sent after him would be.

At that point, Erolia fell silent to focus on her fight. Noah also closed the connection to focus on the experts around him.

Watching him simply stand, facing the battle in the distance remained a strange sight. But they figured he communicated with the experts.

Their hunch proved accurate since the moment Noah turned to face them the distant battle abruptly exploded with more ferocity.

How had he laid hands on such a stupendous beast?

“We have about three minutes before I’m forced to join the battle. let’s make the most of it,” Noah proclaimed, pulling their attention from the fight.

“Are you ready? The moment we move out I’ll unfold my consciousness over you as a form of protection. Moving outside of it could mean death, so I’ll warn you before such occurs.”

Those experts nodded at that point, their expressions falling stern and their auras reaching high levels of focus.

Noah equally nodded at that point. “Let’s go,” he announced, and their figures shattered the sound barrier at the exact same time, to sprint out of that area.

They had been given a total of seventy magical items made from high-end inscriptions and runes geared towards surveillance and keeping watch of the area.

The issue of their numbers had been raised, but Elder Ezra had been quick to inform them of their ability to mask their presence.

Still, expert searching would be capable of finding them even if only the divine lightning guild had access to those objects as they were new. It should take a long while.

They were commanded to disperse those items to decrease the chances of finding them.

They would dig the ground to bury them many feet below the surface. Those items stood at the fourth tier, meaning even if they were one kilometer below the surface they would still fulfill their function.

Noah commanded them to dig only half that depth while the close they got to the city went a full thousand meters.

The seconds started to pass while those experts worked at full speed. A sense of desperation to finish quickly hung above their heads as the minutes passed.

Noah moved about with them, glad that Erolia could last up to five minutes before needing to call upon him. By that point, they had just finished.

A flash of cerulean light filled the clouded battle area and a figure covered in black smoke shot out of the clouded area to crash somewhere close to Noah’s figure

Erolia’s state unfolded in Noah’s gaze at that point. Her body stood rigged with cuts and gashes and blood stains filled her feathers. The impressive light she normally exuded had died down now. Replaced with a low dark glow that sapped away her vitality.

“Master…” Her chipped beak moved to reveal her weak and fatigued tone.

“You’ve held her back enough,” Noah whispered right before she passed out. Her figure transformed into a cerulean streak to enter his chest.

“Your pet was impressive. But not strong enough!” A feminine voice emerged from within the cloudy and smoky battlefield. Which was also the center of the crater where the city once stood. The wind blew violently and the smoke cleared to reveal the lady’s figure.

She had suffered injuries during the fight too, her tattered blood-stained attire revealed the many cuts and charred patches that filled her body. Her healing had kicked in, however, and the deep-purple; almost black miasma she emitted increased the danger she exuded. At least twice the other time.

“It’s time for you to die heir,” her tone spoke of her deep confidence, she had only gotten a bit out of breath. A testimony of just how monstrous her strength was.

“I would say the same for you,” Noah tilted his head to the side, taking light steps forward. Muliix’s splendid material appeared on his figure without its helmet.

“You should flee,” Noah informed his group through his consciousness. .

“Please be careful,” Davis bowed before they shot out of the area.

Noah nodded, allowing his aura to unfold with all its intensity. That event bathed the environment in a silver light.

Cracks opened in the already destroyed areas, and his aura felt touchable.

Noah allowed his daggers to appear in his grip, introducing a new level of pressure. Their appearance revealed their cosmetic change, but only he knew what had changed in their nature.

“I hope you’re ready,” Noah raised his head.

“Gimme a bit,” an excited smile unfolded on the lady’s face behind the veil, whilst her dark-purple miasma wriggled strangely until they latched onto her figure to reveal a peculiar battle armor.

But in addition to that, darkness unfolded into the world, battling Noah’s silver light and he watched a whole army of that lady’s figure manifest in an instant.

“Are you ready now?” He asked again and she nodded, but all 2000 of her cloned figures also nodded.

Noah allowed Muliix’s helmet to cover his face after which he raised his daggers now radiating three light, dark-purple, orange, and silver.

Making their curved tips touch, he swung both blades to create crossed slash that barreled forth in size until it slammed on the lady’s seemingly many figures.

His huge attack tore through those floating figures to create a cross-shaped area void of those clones.

Halfway through, however, the radiant slashes detonated, unfolding into a violent wave of flames, withering smoke, and silver light, all geared toward devouring all forms of energy in the area.

The resultant explosion remained breathtaking.

That was until a horrendous pulling force landed on the region, then everything fell into chaos.
