Chapter 476 476. BLOODLINE INHERITANCE
Two shiny objects floated in Noah’s former position. One was bigger than the other and far apart. They were his core and his soul realm, manifest visibly.
The pool of blood that existed around them would be Noah’s body, but as long as both of them were in safe care, he would continue to exist, only remain unconscious.
A few months passed as those two objects floated silently before the pool of blood, but something eventually happened.
The blood which had refused to dry started to move.
Every drop of Noah moved and rejoined themselves until they became one big spherical mass of wriggling blood substance.
Time flowed, the days turned to weeks, and the weeks turned to months. The process seemed slow, but when Noah’s shining silver core found energy seeping out of its figure and an invisible mass flowing from his soul realm. A radical transformation occurred.
All three spheres, his core, soul realm, and bloody mass, began to spin around each other. His soul realm became the center of gravity, while his core and mass of blood orbited around it.
As time passed, the event got faster and faster, until his core and mass of blood had turned into spinning disks around his soul realm.
The silver light coming from his soul realm shone brighter and brighter until it overshadowed both masses, then the final transformation occurred.
A multicolored light came out of his silver soul realm to flow into his core and his mass of blood, seemingly charging them.
That energy would be what was called Soul energy.
His core remained unchanged but his mass of blood became darker and darker until it completely turned black.
After this more energy from his core poured into the black mass, and the black mass saw cracks forming on it.
Not long after, the black layer on the outside fell off, to reveal the silver, almost transparent mass of liquid on the inside. π·πΉπΈπΏπ.πΈβ΄πΆ
It was strange, but that was what Noah’s new body would be made of.
Energy stopped pouring from his core and the soul realm took over.
The system had been assisting the soul realm from the beginning, and now it helped his soul recall his original shape.
The silvery figure of a man formed soon after and grew solid. Pigment appeared after a few months and hair followed shortly after.
Noah’s figure soon became evident. There were some changes to his features, but when he had completely stabilized, his core and soul realm entered into him, and merely a year after, his eyes snapped open.
The event caused a wave of invisible power to explode from Noah’s body. His heartbeat became louder and louder, its mere sound spreading ripples of incredible force all around him.
It calmed down however and his body returned to the ground. His heartbeats had destroyed the black substance that had turned solid over the years.
Noah heaved a deep sigh as he regained his presence of mind.
His eyes had stopped being blue and were now black. His hair was still as long as ever, but its tips now held a vibrant silver shade apart from the shining white.
His height had increased by a few centimeters, but they barely mattered.
Noah’s skin color was just as before, but an oppressive silver light flowed out of his figure.
“Well done. You have succeeded in the first stage. There are still a few more to come,” Ter’s voice reached Noah’s ears and he glanced up to see the tall figure.
Noah remained silent, but his figure transformed into a blue streak to arrive before the being.
Ter’s white arm grabbed Noah’s leg and the force he packed in his kick simply spread about around them.
“I can see you’re vexed,” Ter’s voice remained calm.
Noah’s eyes were cold, he executed a punch on the being’s face, but nothing happened. Only the sound of metal striking metal erupted in the silence of that realm.
“I advise moving with caution. Your struggles are not done just yet,” Ter stated before hurling Noah’s figure away. He only did so knowing his heir would land on his feet. Which he did.
“What do you mean by that?” Noah spoke but his voice reverberated in the world, oppressively.
He had reached the fourth tier technically speaking, but the system had not announced anything to him. He suspected there was a disconnection.
Noah’s body radiated peak power. He had felt like that before, but things were different now. He was different.
Before Ter could speak, Noah furrowed his brows when pain reached his mind. He collapsed onto the ground and didn’t wake up until a few days passed.
“You’re not out of danger yet. The speed forces energy still rejects you.” Noah found Ter sitting beside him when he finally regained consciousness.
Grunting as he sat up, Noah woke up to a new wave of pain. His chest now featured another crack. But whatever had changed after the first time allowed him to remain in one piece. At least for the meanwhile.
“Elaborate,” Noah spoke in a commanding tone. He hated his situation. That crack hurt as heck.
“What you did during your breakthrough into the third tier has greatly increased the requirement of the speed force energy. You’ll need far much more than a normal low Speedling.” Ter explained, and Noah winced in pain again.
The crack spread until it reached his stomach. The pain was intense. He struggled to remain awake.
“What am I going to do now,” he managed to mutter.
“The bloodline inheritance left for you might need to be exhausted before you can be okay again,” Ter stated standing up.
“Bloodline inheritance?” Noah asked. He had never heard of that before.
“Yes, young Noah. There is a bloodline inheritance. You were originally supposed to take it before even having access to the speed forces energy since only then would you be able to properly utilize it,” Ter clarified.
“I’m not already properly using it?” Noah asked a bit surprised but at the same time un-surprised.
“You’re far from utilizing it. You have only gained the aspect of speed in terms of bodily movement. There’s far more to this unique energy than moving around,” Ter explained. But Noah winced again.
The crack had increased in length.
Noah remained silent.
“The Speedlings have a hierarchy, and the hierarchy is set by how pure our blood is. This system leaves many the control of the others, but mainly how much of the speed force we can utilize.” Ter began even if he never hoped to finish before the man before him passed out.
“Directly after the lower Speedlings are the High-Speedlings,” Ter waved his hand again, and a red magical Triangle formed before him.
Another drop of blood releasing an outstanding aura compared to the first, flew out of the triangle to float before Ter.
“This will be your next evolution. It’s going to be painful, and long. You spent four years becoming a normal Speedling. I believe it will take you more to finally reach the status of High-Speedling, but according to my calculations even that will not be enough to meet the speed forces requirements.”
At that point, the drop of blood landed on Noah’s figure and he once again exploded into a gory mess. But this time around his blood was red but contained patches of silver-ness.
