Chapter 404 404. WINNER

The sky twisted and turned as the army of attacks rained down upon Noah’s spectacularly armored figure.

Noah clicked his tongue when he returned to being and saw a massive attack about to crash into his figure.

That event clearly showed how ill-prepared for fights at that level he was. Notwithstanding, he had ways of escaping. He only didn’t know how well it would turn out.

His figure vanished in a white light since he knew he would die if he got hit. Noah waited a few seconds before returning to the battlefield, but merely an instant after and a wave of blood attacks crashed on his figure and dug into his armor.

Noah remained stunned as the impact sent him far away from the forest and he smashed into one of the mountains creating a deep crater.

Noah coughed a second after the impact, but he didn’t have time to rest, since his instincts spiked in fear, after which he turned into a blue streak that shot towards the ground, only to find himself about to touch the red barrier.

Gorno’s tall figure appeared in front of Noah’s former position with a bang, and the punch he delivered upon impact caused everything to shake. So much so that the mountain found huge cracks opening in its grand structure!

‘Just one punch.’ Noah shook his head in wonder before flying away from that place and way into the valley.

Noah furrowed his brows when his eyes landed on the destroyed portion of his armor. His left side featured a scratch. Even if it wasn’t bleeding or anything it hinted at the fact that he had to be careful.

Gorno had long since sighted the direction of his movements and had immediately shot toward him, his eyes blazing with fury.

Noah noticed his opponent’s arrival, but rather than move away or anything, he shot toward Gorno, and the two of them clashed mid-air.

Their fists connected in a resounding bang, and the sheer sound of the impact traveled for miles in all directions.

Noah felt almost get pushed back by his opponent’s strength, but didn’t. His expression was serious and his gaze calculative. He desired to test his strength and not only his elemental versatility.

Seeing that the human named Aiden was capable of withstanding a direct blow from him, Gorno felt his anger grow and a flurry of punches followed that event.

Shockingly, however, Noah was capable of following and blocking his fists with punches just as powerful.

The human was surprising him with how skilled he was, but he was only beginning.

Noah felt his instincts buzz madly and he was forced to shoot away from his position. An explosion containing blood unfolded at that point, and Noah watched Gorno undergo a transformation of sorts.

Gorno’s size decreased as the red patterns on his body intensified with their light. They became so bright that it seemed like a red star appeared in the middle of the valley, illuminating everything with its ominous light.

The light disappeared as quickly as it arrived, and Noah’s expression grew cold when his eyes fell on Gorno’s changed figure.

He had reduced greatly in size, only about 2.5m. His form was only a smaller version, but his aura was heavier than ever.

The patterns on his body had stopped being patterns and now existed around his body like the shining lines of inscriptions.

A red robe made out of flowing blood stood on his figure surprising Noah.

“You have forced this out. I can only give you my deepest apologies,” Gorno’s voice carried real pressure, which sent Noah heading for the ground. The impact was nothing short of spectacular.

Panic rose in Noah’s mind however, he had lost sight of the creature for a second, and he knew how dangerous things could go.

Trying to stand ended up futile, since a red leg appeared on Noah’s chest, and with wide eyes, he watched and felt an immense pressure send him deeper into the very terrain.

The valley suffered from that incredible blow, and huge cracks opened. Fissures that were capable of swallowing whole settlements sprung into existence. It seemed like a meteor had hit that area and created a huge crater that had chasms spreading from its edges.

Noah felt pain ravage his mind. It was intense. Enough for tears to cloud his eyes.

Gorno’s feet had been etched into his chest and had almost punched a hole in him!

The power in the kick eventually ended, but Noah found himself unable to move afterward.

“Do you feel it?” Gorno’s voice reached a panicking Noah.

“It’s a special skill I call the curse of bleeding.”

“As long as I can come in contact with your blood you will remain paralyzed. Not only does it stop your body from functioning. I crafted it in a way to affect even the very soul cores of humans,” he explained slowly floating into the huge crater he had created by simply landing on Noah’s chest.

He sounded proud and confident about his skill, but Noah was full of surprises.

Gorno landed lightly on Noah’s chest, but he failed to notice Noah’s perfectly healthy state, since he never expected much to happen on the outside anyway.

But his grin vanished and his black eyes widened when his survival instincts raged.

“Boom,” Noah whispered with a wide smile as sparks crackled around his figure, then everything fell into destruction.

A massive explosion barreled out in all directions in the shape of a sphere. It looked as if a nuclear bomb had gone off and the ground disappeared at Noah’s discharge of power.

The sound of the explosion would be capable of killing even tier 4’s and the heat burnt the air. Words could barely describe the effects of the explosion due to how grand and surprisingly magnificent it was.

A few minutes had to pass before the light died down and the result of the explosion was revealed. Even Noah gasped in shock. nov𝚕.𝚌om

The surface for nothing less than twenty miles in radius now had a massive boiling crater in it. The glow of the melting ground that burnt deep orange filled the environment, and a great smoke rose to the sky.

Noah had successfully destroyed the valley and other things.

Coughing a mouthful of blood as his bad state was revealed high in the sky, Noah drank potions to refill his core, as he was seriously injured and his body needed more to heal.

He had spent 1 million points In that simple discharge and the results had been stunning, to say the least.

Heck, he began to regret his actions since he felt sure that the explosion would have been felt far away from that place.

“This battle should have happened high in the sky,” Noah muttered when his blood calmed down and he began to think straight.

He truly could have wiped out a city with that power. And he wasn’t even tired, only wounded due to being at the eye of the explosion. He had shot away before much of his body could be burnt away.

Heaving a sigh while searching for his opponent with his eyes, Noah already wanted to leave. He had achieved enough with the power still bubbling in his body.

His eyes found a red halo somewhere amid the boiling earth and he shot toward Gorno with the intent to kill him.

Noah’s figure landed like a meteor and when his gaze landed on Gorno, he shook his head.

His attack had left Gorno a living chest, but he was still alive even if he was submerged in a literal pool of blood. The heat coming from the ground wasn’t able to affect the blood.

“How?” Gorno managed to force out, but Noah remained silent, at least for a few moments. His body was unharmed by the events happening around him.

“This is why affinities are better,” Noah replied, simply deciding how he would make the killing blow. Before he could raise his arms a force he couldn’t fight against, caught hold of him, but it wasn’t in a violent method.

Only then did Noah notice the fact that the red barrier far in the distance had vanished, revealing that the forest had been unaffected by the carnage both of them caused.

Not only that, Noah noticed the sphere of blood high above them.

“The winner is decided, there’s no real need for killing,” A soft male voice, dripping with power and age; ancient even, rang out, and Noah felt stunned to find that everything cooled down. Literally.
