Chapter 403 403. GRATEFUL
Gorno moved forward with his group of 24 behind him. He was the only one capable of withstanding Noah’s aura comfortably, so he shielded his juniors with his own aura, which was the reason for the crimson light that filled the entire forest.
Noah watched his opponents fly towards him in slow motion. They were quick with their flight, but he was faster. His speed had not gone past Mach 80, but even tier 4’s could not attain that velocity.
His figure turned into a blue streak that directly shot higher into the sky after which the sky trembled and the wind blew violently.
His core’s content had been momentarily increased and had crossed two million speed essence allowing for the liberty of sorts to how wasteful he could be.
Noah made sure he would check out how strong he was in that state. Surely being close to tier 5 had to be very spectacular, and it was since all he needed to do was send one lightning bolt containing a huge amount of energy to bathe the surrounding miles in an oppressive blue light.
“I have to admit human. Your strength is incredible,” Gorno’s voice pierced the sky-shaking sound that filled the environment, and Noah watched with light amusement a red light take control of his attack before snuffing it out.
“But you’ll need more to win this battle.” The being announced somberly, even if he had won the first clash.
A wide smile grew on Noah’s face when he saw that the forest below him now had the top of its trees on fire. Lighting the night sky with the orange light.
However, one of the lower-stage tier 4’s separated from the group with the Crocs and started to clear out the surrounding flames by commanding the beasts to shoot huge balls of water from their mouths.
Noah didn’t mind that scene since he never aimed to destroy the forest, but seeing his targets out in the open made him even more daring.
“I’m afraid you all will be unable to partake in this battle. He’s stronger than I anticipated,” Gorno spoke to his group and they all nodded before their figures disappeared in red lights. Noah was unable to stop the process even if his mental waves could reach them quickly.
“It would seem I’m not that strong,” Noah shook his head. “Seeing as you could stop the attack with little to no effort.” π·πΉπΈπΏπ.πΈβ΄πΆ
“Lies. It took almost everything I had to stop it. You’re the strongest tier 4 cultivator I’ve come across. I’ll be glad to drink your blood,” Gorno replied not the least daunted by the fact that it had complimented his opponent.
Noah went silent at that point, as the idea he had in mind came to be. Possessing the great knowledge about his elements had many perks, and his now empowered mind could process thoughts he had never conceived before.
All three of his elements revealed themselves t the world at that point, and words could not explain how the environment reacted to that event.
A gathering process began, but not one that ended in just a sphere. No, Noah moved to merge all three of his elements into one, and he needed to find a balance to achieve that.
The process was rather rapid, but it ended in a failure, one that would be capable of removing that region if the explosion touched it.
Noah clicked his tongue and sent the unstable mass of elements towards Gorno, and as he expected, the weird being blocked the attack, but some spilled on the forest, and astonishing destruction unfolded.
The portions that saw the mass of green, icy-blue and blue mass fell on them saw their trees and lands directly disintegrating due to how much power those droplets contained.
Noah saw the river of blood open up below him and marveled, but his second try also ended in failure and he sent it forward again.
“This is unfair,” Gorno’s voice reached Noah’s ears after his attacks created a blinding light when it met the strange red barrier set up by his opponent.
Huge cracks opened on the barrier and those portions saw droplets of the mass of energy falling on them, and this time explosions containing power in the forth tier spread out, and they almost wiped out the forest.
“Unfair?” Noah’s mocking tone made everything tremble. “You said you were going to drink my blood only a few moments ago. If I can’t kill you I’ll take the forest out.”
“I wasn’t talking to you, human,” Gorno’s sharp and murder-filled reply took Noah aback.
“He’s too strong for me to handle with my attention split. I beg you to release me of my restrictions,” Gorno’s voice reverberated through out the destroyed forest.
“He’s destroying the forest you spent so long to plant. My anger has been kindled upon him,” the beings voice had gone deeper and deeper until it sent chills down even Noah’s spine.
A weird silence overflowed after Gorno’s words, but it didn’t last long since the surrounding miles experienced a violent rumble and Noah saw cracks open in the valley beside the forest.
The mountains shook too. Everything did, even the air.
Noah felt a foreign force grab hold of his forming mass of energy that had appeared before him, and watched it disperse without his will.
‘Definitely tier five,’ Noah thought, already cautious. The master’s next move would depend on what happened next.
The blood flowing beneath the mostly wiped-out forest began to move, and soon Noah saw huge pillars of blood shooting into the sky but they didn’t target him.
A strong force suddenly pushed he and Gorno higher into the sky while the pillars exploded into a shower of blood.
But rather than fall to the ground, Noah watched with astonishment, a huge barrier capable of covering the entire forest in its almost solid-like state, unfold.
The sight was weird to say the least. A shining red dome-shaped cover stood above the forest blocking the duo from reaching it. Noah found that not even his mental waves could cross it. They simply crumbled upon contact.
“I am grateful for your understanding,” Gorno performed a bow in the sky before turning to face Noah with its intense blood-lust freely unfolding in the environment.
“Was that your master?” Noah asked shaking off the blood lust Gorno emitted.
“You have no rights to any answer, as dead men do not need to know about certain things,” Gorno responded, and Noah watched its figure begin to bleed. Or rather, pour blood.
Literal rivers of crimson-red blood appeared around the monster, blocking Noah’s view of Gorno.
“This is the power you missed out on, human Aiden,” Gorno’s deep v[ice bellowed forth as the river of blood morphed into an army of different creatures. But that wasn’t all.
An armor of blood now covered Gorno’s body, and the monster’s aura continued to spike. Noah soon found him as a threat, but the primal roar Gorno released stunned him for a second, which was enough time to rain his attacks on Noah.
