UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 199 199. DITCH

After their weird, but tension relieving activity, they promptly got into moving the various beds into nice positions.

Although the beds were bunks, their size rivaled king-sized ones which made them really heavy.

But being experts capable of lifting large magical beasts. Such furnitures didn’t weigh more than soft-balls.

A weird sensation spread in Noah’s mind at the sight of relatively tall females, lifting furnitures that weighed hundreds of kilograms as though they were nothing.

There were exactly 25 bunk beds present, but one side of the room wasn’t capable of holding that many, which meant there would be need for pairings.

Although he had silently helped them in the movement, when it came to who would sleep with who, he was left out.

Noah didn’t feel the least bit offended at that treatment. Heck he even appreciated it, since he didn’t want to burden himself with someone. Like he did with James.

Regardless of their unwillingness to totally associate with him even if they did so amonst themselves; they left a bunk bed all for him.

There were a few excesses and he was granted one of them. Nobody objecting to that seemingly unfair treatment.

‘Are they afraid of talking to me. Or are they discriminating due to my seemingly low power,’ Noah pondered. Then it hit him.

‘I see….just like me they don’t want to associate with someone who would potentially slow them down,’ Noah concluded.

Although his power remained confusing to their untrained minds, he clearly remained in the lower-stage.

Not even Noah disputed that reality. Ig it hadn’t been for his timely breakthrough into having access to rank 2 speed essence, his power would be beyond subpar.

He would be unable to knock out a middle-staged cultivator, which would put him in big disadvantage, and anyone that was paired with him. If such happened.

His only advantage would be his Incredible speed, which didn’t seem much.

‘Speed is everything,’ Noah harrumphed inwardly. ‘With enough practice i should be capable of killing those a bit stronger than me,’ he thought, but he hadn’t fought in the way he currently imagined it.

‘That would be really draining,’ Noah frowned simulating himself delivering hundreds of punches to his opponents from different angles.

‘I’m currently not agile enough for that. And it would take an insane amount of energy every second, as I’ll have to be moving at my full speed,’ he admitted.

‘Unless…I manage to find a way to minimize the consumption of essence or be capable of reducing my speed while executing such complex actions,’ he thought.

‘Too fast would mean wasting essence, and too slow could mean my opponent could be capable of doing something,’ he continued to ponder on the matter.

After experiencing the tier 4 bird’s speed, which was multiple times faster than sound. Noah had figured that at some point down his rise to power, he would be surrounded by entities probably capable of moving as fast as him.

‘What would i do then…’ He wondered. But soon dropped the matter since he had no way of currently knowing.

The voices of his roommates continued to ring out in the room while Noah simply lay on the top of his bed.

They chatted as though they had been doing so for a long time, and it soon dawned on Noah that they probably conversed in the inscribed box using their consciousness.

Some of their conversations managed to reach his ear but they were mostly mundane stuff.

Noah eventually found his situation funny at some point. He felt like the quiet kid who was always left out off the interactions of his classmates.

However he actually didn’t experience such treatments during his time on earth. Heck he would be a student classified as the light of the class.

Notwithstanding, the lessons that world had taught him, caused him to prefer not being the centre of attention at all times. Since they usually led to troublesome situations.

What period in the day they were, none knew, but also didn’t care. And their conversations inevitably continued for hours.

Feeling the urge to eat after spending what felt like three hours simply reading the inscription manuals. Noah got off his bed to walk towards a cylindrical object across the room.

Placing his palm on it, the glass material of the cylinder lit up with multiple orange lines.

Interacting with those Inscriptions using his mental waves as they had been taught, Noah felt a stream of Information enter his mind. 𝗼𝐯π₯.𝗻𝐭

That was the way to check the menu the guild provided.

Deciding on a few things that sounded and looked juicy since, since even their images were present.

Noah waited for around five minutes until the cylinder suddenly lit up with the light of a teleportation, and a plate filled with his order revealed itself.

The surface on which the plate sat on ascended, allowing Noah lift the plate.

An aroma unlike he had ever perceived slammed into his nostrils, sending waves of excitement through his body.

‘Oh my…bloody god,’ Noah exclamained in excitement.

His plate consisted of things he had never seen outside a refined environment, but he barely minded that detail. He felt immune to poison due to his unique status.

The aroma Noahs order emitted made him realize how hungry for good food he had been. Instead of the make-shift meals he had indulged himself in due to lack of better option.

‘I could eat this everyday,’ Noah thought happily walking towards his bed. His eyes clearly radiating an intense desire to devour that meal.

However a few meters from his bed five experts suddenly surrounded him. All males.

An eyebrow rose on his face at that development, but he didn’t do much.

“How may I help you,” Noah stated.

“Give that to us,” one of the five men ordered, his black mustache moving at every word he pronounced.

Noah furrowed his brows at the man’s tone and words, “You mean my meal?” He asked to clearify his situation.

Seeing the other four giggle in mockery while the mustached man nodded, his gaze utterly condescending.

“You can just get yours from over there. Like we were taught,” Noah spoke. His tone experiencing a sharp drop at the last sentence.

“No we desire yours. Now give it to us,” the mustached man declared.

Noah couldn’t but sigh at that point, his head turning backwards to see what the others were ready to do about it.

Seeing that they simply watched without showing the slightest intent to move. Only a few of the ladies turning their faces away from his.

“Are you deaf boy,” the mustached man barked. His weirdly soothing voice filled with disdain.

Deep down, Noah felt the situation a bit funny. Only a bit.

The expert before him had gone multiple steps into the middle stage, which meant he was trouble.

Coupled with the other four also middle-staged experts, he didn’t like his situation.

“Weren’t you taught in what ever ditch you crawled out from to respect does higher than you!” the mustached man roared, seeing Noah’s unmoving gaze.

Seeing the expert bring his palm forward to deliver a slap to his face, Noah casually raised his right hand to grab it successfully stopping it. But the other four pounced on him at that point.
