Chapter 166 166. NEXT PHASE
Performing a few stretches, Noah seemed to daze off afterwards.
He had experienced the same hazy dream he had a few days ago, and it also ended when the entity was about to reveal her face.
Being the third time he experienced the same dream of sorts, he understood that it wasn’t something normal. But had no clue whatsoever of what it meant.
He tried searching for a pattern, wondering whether it happened as a result of what he did before falling asleep, but found none connecting to the three incidents.
After reviewing his crazy action, he had gone through a series of thoughts, mostly worry, but those were normal at this point.
Soon thoughts based on his next move flowed into his mind, but he had fallen asleep before he could gain any real ground on that matter.
Luckily, it seemed he had only been asleep for a couple of minutes.
‘Maybe an hour,’ Noah thought, when his eyes fell on the path he had created.
The trees had began to regrow, and the path now featured tens of relatively tall tree stumps.
He felt satisfied to see that mana still took care of such things, as he didn’t exactly find pleasure the destruction of nature.
He had spent a significant amount of time in such environments during his time on Earth, after all.
With nothing else to do, Noah resumed his thoughts on his next plan.
With his business in Vonol partially done, and he had nothing really keeping him there, he felt it was time to move onto the next phase of his life.
Joining a guild.
Both his maps exited his inventory at that point, and he didn’t hesitate to check the large one which he got from Luke’s ring.
The map indicated most of the important locations in Cusk, but he hardly understood why they held importance, as it didn’t have a description like the map he got from the small party.
Apart from names like the royal city which was situated exactly in the center of Cusk, and the names of the three great guilds, Noah understood not the rest.
From his inspection of the map, he had spent the last three to four months at the very edge of the country.
Even Keriele was situated at the edge of Cusk, only being a city far richer than the surrounding ones.
Moving on to his real target; the ‘Divine Lightning guild’, Noah felt his mind ache at the sheer thought of the distance he would have to travel the reach it.
Even worse, it was only the major branch.
The real thing wasn’t identified on the map, and he inevitably wondered why that was so.
Actually only the major branches of the great guilds were identified on the map.
His mind searched for the easiest way into getting admitted, and he soon gave up on it.
Only travelling would take him there, but the distance would be too much, it could take him weeks, and he desired not to waste such time.
His mind soon recalled a place in Keriele; which according to Emillia was a faction that allowed people board flying beasts, which would then travel from city to city.
The idea sounded great, but Noah found it utterly useless.
He had better chances of getting to his destination running than patronizing that mode of transportation.
‘I could run,’ Noah eventually considered. His earlier calculation which resulted in spending weeks was by moving at the speed his body could naturally take him, but not his full speed, Mach 75, which was around 25,000m every second.
While he could only sustain that velocity for merely five seconds, he had potions simply piling up in his cultivation room.
Their numbers already neared hundred, as he had drank some during his journey from Enil. n𝚘𝚟l.co𝚖
Utilizing his potions would allow him arrive at his destination far faster, though at the cost of his cores’ stability.
He would simply cultivate for a long time after that.
Noah soon approved of his plan, it was simple but effective. He didn’t expect the journey to be easy, as there were sure to be obstacles made by the environment, but he trusted himself to handle them efficiently.
With his thoughts on that matter settled, he focused on another slight problem:
He didn’t know his current location.
Although he had chosen an area close to the Vonol’s front gate during his leap, his flight had taken him far away from the city’s perimeters.
His 3d mental map remained active, but at this point it featured whole sections of blankness.
Unfolding his consciousness quickly updated the map, but the issue remained.
He could guess his location on the map, but, its indication of the city and its surrounding areas was too small, it wouldn’t do much.
Deciding to on a solution, Noah’s body crackled with energy. He felt free being able to express such a key aspect of his existence. Someone about being part speedling seemed to add to the intensity of that emotion.
Noah performed a quick scouting of the area, by simply running around in no particular order.
He perceived things in slow motion, so he didn’t have to worry about smashing into trees during his multiple circular runs.
The area saw a bright yellow streak rapidly move across its terrain, absolutely undeterred by the hundreds of trees or bumpy grounds.
Noah enjoyed every second of the search even though it burnt a significant amount of energy.
He soon left the perimeters of that area to perform a wider search. It wasn’t until after a few seconds did he arrive at a path he recalled clearly.
He came to a quick halt and his consciousness unfolded to further scan that environment, and he soon ascertained his location.
He currently stood on a path that would lead him back to Mariwa if he ran straight down, but he didn’t plan on doing that.
His maps quickly appeared to float in front of him at that point.
In mere instants he understood his position on the maps.
While his evaluation remained rough, it proved more than enough, as Noah’s eyes snapped to a direction West of his current location.
His destination was a large city, even bigger than Keriele. Its name being something that vaguely excited him.
On his way to the said city would be a series mountain chains and exactly three valley’s, which spanned for multiple miles. There would be a few smaller settlements too, but he planned to avoid them.
He would then encounter a large lake which was the final hurdle before arriving at the Dragons Claw city.
‘I hope I don’t have to simply run all through,’ Noah grinned, he felt excited.
The new environments he would witness made his blood pump, and the thought of almost getting killed in a battle, pushed him to a state of nigh ecstacy.
A potion appeared in his palms, and he didn’t hesitate to chug its contents down.
His speed core immediately bubbled with essence at that actiu. Although he would need to abuse that medicine for a while, his core remained at its best condition currently.
Essence rumbled out of our MC’s body, his figure lighting up his immediate surroundings, though only by a bit, the sun still stood high above him.
His destination was the exactly the west region of the nation of Cusk, and his position being the southern side of the nation, he remained a few thousand miles from it. A distance that could fit a medium sized country on earth!
Wrapping his conciousness around his figure, Noah took a big step forward, and he turned into a bright yellow streak travelling at around 10,000 meters every second.
