UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 163 163. UNKNOWN

Weaving through the trees of Creagar, with the grace and expertise of a veteran obstacle racer, Noah traversed the forest silently.

He had long left the real pathway to travel in the forest. He constantly felt unsafe and naked running on the cleared path. 𝒃𝒆𝙣𝒐𝒗𝙚𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝒎

Alhough he doubted the actuality of being seen at his current speed, his mind wouldn’t let him be.

Having arrived on the last path which led directly to Vonol, Noah readied his mind for whatever he would find there.

A bit more than two months had passed since he was last in Vonol, he expected changes, but didn’t know how much the city would have transformed in that time frame.

Barely being able to sleep the other night, Noah’s mind had been filled with his words for Jesse. He felt his heart twist at the thought of killing James.

Although he understood the whole situation had been a set up, he couldn’t bring himself to tell the young man.

Noah soon found himself running downhill, and navigation got a bit annoying. But wasn’t something he couldn’t handle.

According to the map, he wouldn’t arrive at Vonol’s fronts gate, but its back, something Noah hadn’t known until then, existed.

His eyes soon fell on a stone wall around 35m in height, by this point he had stopped running, his hand resting on a tree, while he Inspected the wall.

He currently experienced the exact same issue he faced before entering Keriele.

His power remained far higher than the middle-staged tier 2 before his eyes, but he still couldn’t do anything he wanted. He couldn’t barge into the city.

‘Time to test my running prowess,’ Noah eventually concluded. He couldn’t get into the city the normal way, at least not where people had chances of recognizing him and causing him trouble. Moreover he had stayed in Vonol for quite some time.

His thoughts eventually fell on getting a mask, and his whole being agreed to it.

With an expresion filled with determination, Noah moved essence from his black, constantly rotating core.

His whole body experienced an overall strengthening, but he didn’t focus too much on those details.

His soul core spun madly, as his white soul environment got tinted with a deep yellow color. Eventually his island began to vibrate, while energy coursed madly through its structure. Then did Noah consider it the right time to move.

Taking a step, while ignoring his completely frozen environment, Noah chose not to move to fast, something around mach 2 or 5.

Needless to say, he instantly arrived in front of the grey wall. He had moved a few hundred meters from the gate and the line of people to remain unseen.

Without the tiniest bit of hesitation, Noah placed his right foot on the stone wall. He felt a force try to push him to the ground when his other foot arrived on the wall, but he was moving too fast for gravity.

With both legs on the wall, Noah experienced a view he had only really imagined.

It felt relatively easy moving on the wall still at that speed, so when he took another step forward, he did it with ease.

In the flicker of an eye Noah had arrived on the section of the wall where guards normally stood, and he didn’t hesitate to place his feet on the its side again, this time crossing over.

Facing downwards startled him a bit, but he quickly got over it, he wouldn’t die even if he fell from that height.

His eyes fell on a series of short buildings away from public eyes, and he didn’t hesitate to basically walk down the wall, though moving Incredibly fast, to stand behind one of said buildings.

In reality he had spent less than a second running up and down the wall.

A sense of achievement soon filled Noah’s mind while stopping his essence from further empowering him.

He had arrived inside the city relatively unseen, and without any trouble.

‘I should do this more,’ He giggled quietly.

His consciousness soon unfolded to inspect the streets around him. While he understood that tier 3’s were really scarce in that small city, anomalies like elder Manson could be anywhere.

The residents of that area couldn’t sense his consciousness wash over them to see what they did, this was majorly due to their weakness.

There were many tier 1 Individuals in that area, and he had to greatly reduce the intensity of his consciousness to avoid their deaths.

Soon Noah found the area safe, and decided to move. His figure flashed out of that area and he quickly arrived at the top a building a few hundred meters from his former position.

His 3D mental map quickly zoomed in to Vonol, and Noah eventually found James house, which was on the other side of the city.

Noah pakoured from building to building at high speed. His movements were far faster than the average tier 1 or 2 could percive, and he soon arrived at James’ area.

Heaving a heavy sigh he jumped off the building he stood upon, to walk towards James’ house.

Much hadn’t changed in that area, apart from the renovated street and additions of what resembled street lamps, but had wooden pillars.

Striking softly on the door using his knuckles, Noah heard clearly the sound of an Individual scrambling towards him.

His heart leaped for joy when he heard the bars behind the door shift, but that feeling vanished when a man in his mid thirties appeared behind the door.

The individual seemed to be startled by Noah’s beauty, as his face failed to hide his amazement.

“How may I help you?,” The man spoke without leaving the borders of the building.

Emotions raged in Noah’s mind at this sight, but his facial expressions had already been cut off from his emotions, so he remained calm for the time being.

“Sorry to bother you, but do you know who Jesse is?,” Noah enquired in a polite tone.

While he knew James had no other relatives apart from his younger brother, he had to understand what the situation was.

The individual looked to take Noah’s words seriously, as a thoughtful expression appeared on his face before an answer proceeded out of his mouth a moment later.

“Oh the other tenant. He was kicked out by the owner around a month ago, or something like that. I don’t really know anything else,” The man explained.

For a millisecond there, Noah felt ready to blow up. He could already envision the whole place becoming an icy environment in mere seconds, but his anger remained under his tight control.

“Do you know where the owner stays?,” Noah asked, his voice having lost the warmth in it, and his utterly aura-less figure becoming dangerous to his audience.

With a sharpened expression the man quickly gave him an answer. “Yes, he owns a bar exactly 25 buildings from this building,” The man pointed towards his right. His efforts to understands Noah’s power had proved completely useless.

The breath-taking young man before him was stronger than he, a lower-stage tier 2!

Was he a noble? the man wondered in pure shock.

Noah’s eyes slowly traced the man’s pointed arm, his now frosty voice ringing out again, “I thank you for your help,” He said immediately walking towards the said bar, his eyes numbering the building as he slowly moved down the street.

“Sure…” The man replied, but Noah had left by then.

Walking down the seemingly immense street, Noah’s mind raged with violent thoughts.

Thoughts he never knew his mind could remotely produce took over his mind. But his environment remained unaffected. His emotions were still under his control, for now.

He eventually arrived in front of the said building, and it truly resembled a bar. His mind didn’t bother to Inspect the flashy features the building held as he walked towards the guard-less building.

His steps halted, then he tore a piece of his garment to shield the lower portion of his face.

Pushing the thick wooden door, Noah stepped into a rowdy room filled with tens of men, and even a few women.

But the entire room turned silent immediately everyone present laid eyes on his figure. And for reasons unknown to them, shivers went down their spines, the air in room suddenly going stale.
