Chapter 127 127. HOT
Six bright balls of energy floated around Noah’s cross-legged figure.
It had taken him almost an hour to amass those balls of energy. Although the refilling rate and quantity of energy increased after every round, Noah still went through nineteen rounds.
Each ball radiated enough power to kill Noah if they went off, so it isn’t an exaggeration to say that, the fact that those balls of energy would go inside him, worried him.
Noah found himself taking a deep breath, and returning to his former lying position.
Noah’s consciousness held those balls of energy together, and due to the power each ball contained, he felt a pressure on his soul realm, which helped it improve a bit.
Wrapping his consciousness around the book, Noah resumed his reading.
“With the first things ready, I want you to create a drill like construct using the speed forces’ energy, but do not create it from your gathered energy,” The writer warned.
‘A drill like construct…,’ Noah wondering, his mind gathering a small portion of the energy in the room, before causing it to spin rapidly, a low mechanic whirling sound spreading in the environment
Giving the spinning ball of essence, a pointy edge, Noah made sure it had enough energy to ensure that it wouldn’t disperse if it came in contact with his body.
“When you’re done with that, i want you to drill a 1 inch hole in each of the joints i mentioned. There’s no particular order of drilling them, just start where you feel like. And don’t forget to stop your body’s healing ability. Do this by restricting the flow of energy from your core.” The writer ended.
Noah read those words carefully, part of his consciousness immediately seeping into his body to surround his black energy core.
With that preparation done, Noah quickly moved the drill close to his body, but he suddenly stopped.
‘Why do I have to use just one, when i can create eleven more, and drill all my joints at the exact same time,’ Noah raised an imaginary eyebrow, then immediately did as he wanted.
A few seconds later, twelve spinning drills created from condensed speed essence, hovered above the twelve joints mentioned. The additional eleven drills put a lot of pressure on Noah’s mind, but he welcomed that opportunity to improve.
Noah’s eyes turned cold when he lowered the drills on each of his joints.
Pain instantly flooded Noah’s mind, while disturbing noises filled the room, with red blood flying everywhere.
Surprisingly only a grunt escaped Noah’s mouth during the drill. That process only managing to get that much out of him.
The drills dug through his skin effortlessly, but when they arrived on his muscles it took those drills a few milliseconds to dig their way through.
The drills finally arrived on his bones, this time multiple seconds were needed to go 1 inch through.
The speed essence inside Noah’s core immediately tried to spread and heal his wounds, but Noah’s will managed to overpower the activation of that passive ability.
The process didn’t take more than ten seconds, but it felt like hours had passed for Noah.
Although his resistance to pain had drastically increased due to the half-a-month of brutal torture, the pain he felt didn’t reduce, only that he could put up with it.
The energy in Noah’s core raged madly at its restriction, that energy almost escaping after a series is struggle’s, but Noah quickly dispersed the drills, and allowed a significant portion of his mind to keep his energy in place. An Instant of distraction could make him restart the painful process, and that he didn’t want.
A sense of weakness seeped into Noah’s mind due to his injured state. He had also lost control to all his limbs after the process ended, but he had expected that much.
Ignoring the pool of crimson blood forming around him, Noah quickly read through the next instruction.
“With the drilling done; now divide each of your ball of essence into two, making that twelve balls for the 12 joints. Each ball containing the exact quantity of energy as the other.” The writer started.
Noah furrowed his brows at those instructions, he wished the writer had mentioned that earlier.
Noah focused all his attention on the balls of essence, his mind deciding on how he would divide them; and that was by relying on his Instincts.
Starting with one ball at a time, Noah spilt them into two parts; shuffling and reshuffling the essence into the other until his Instincts stopped buzzing, creating two smaller balls of equal energy.
This process took Noah a bit over an hour, at this point he had stopped bleeding, but the sense of weakness filling him had increased by multiple levels, but he could still hold on perfectly. He thanked his insane stamina and resilience for this.
With the splitting of energy done, Noah couldn’t help but glance at his soul realm, the pressure on his mind had reduced a lot than when he started, and that was because his mind improved during that short period of time.
Focusing his consciousness on the book again, Noah read the next set of instructions.
“With the splitting done, we’ll start the crucial part.”
“To kickstart the changes that’ll occur in your body; as I have mentioned before, you will have to allow the speed essence pass through the holes you’ve drilled. The process would be a bit painful, and you are only allowed to go one ball at a time.
“Direct the essence you’ve gathered to the first joint, then lead it into the hole. You’ll have to be careful to not let any the essence spill, so I advise you supervise their passage with care. You can do this as slowly as you want, just ensure that it’s successful.”
“When you are done with the first joint you move to the next, like i explained to you. When you are done with the procedure, your body will take care of the rest. Good luck,” The explanation ended.
Noah immediately glanced at the diagrams on the book, and got an even better understanding of what the writer meant.
After a few minutes of carefully studying the diagrams, he began.
Moving the first of the twelve balls that hovered in a circular fashion a few meters above his head, Noah drew its essence in a straight line.
The process didn’t take much effort, but when the essence arrived a few inches from his body, Noah felt his mind tremble, as he almost lost control of the essence and even his core.
Noah’s concentration instantly reached its peak, while he dragged the energy into that hole.
A slight quiver spread on Noah’s body when the essence came in contact with his bones, followed by a warm sensation.
It took around twenty seconds for the ball of essence to complete enter that hole, and surprisingly when it did, it began to spin, but Noah didn’t mind that reaction.
The process of drawing the energy went on for tens of minutes, Noah didn’t encounter much trouble apart from the initial resistance when the energy got very close to his body. Surprisingly, with each joint he filled with essence, the stronger the resistance for the next joint was.
Eventually Noah was done with the process. The twelve joints previously mentioned glowed with a deep yellow radiance, while the energy within them spun rapidly. By this point Noah’s body felt warm. The comfy type of warmth.
‘What now?,’ Noah asked himself after a few minutes had passed since he ended the procedure. 𝐨𝘃𝗹.
[[You wait]] The system suddenly replied.
Noah lay there for over twenty minutes before something happened.
An intense vibration suddenly shook Noah’s body, all his wounds healing Instantly.
Noah didn’t get a chance to react to that sudden event, before an unbearable searing sensation rose up in his body, followed by blood, plenty of it!.
Noah felt like his insides were on fire, agonizing screams escaping his mouth while he shook furiously.
