Chapter 384: Chapter 200: Want to Act Tough? Then I’ll Beat You Until You Wail

’Anyone who hangs out with these two jinxes must be even more of a freak than they are, right?’

"Hurry, get on the boat! Get on the boat!"

The monk and the Daoist beckoned for Chen Xuan to jump aboard.

Chen Xuan took a closer look and saw the boat had no floorboards. The space below was empty, seemingly transparent.

He leaped and landed steadily on it.

Yet it felt as if he were standing on solid ground.

The boatman stared at him, his face a mask of disbelief.

’Wait a minute!’

’How come this guy doesn’t have a crooked mouth? Or lice?’

’He dares to hang out with these two jinxes, and he hasn’t suffered any backlash?’

"Get going! What are you staring at!"

The Lice Monk slapped the boatman’s back.

"Don’t touch me, don’t touch me!"

The boatman shrieked in terror, scrambling away from the touch. He hastily started rowing, steering the boat into the depths of the black fog.

A curious expression on his face, Chen Xuan stood in the small boat and gazed ahead.

He felt only endless black fog and a chilling, sinister energy washing over him.

It felt as if they were sailing directly into the netherworld.

’To think such a mystical and bizarre place exists in the world. Truly unexpected.’

Gust after gust of sinister wind howled past. Gradually, Chen Xuan began to hear the sound of lapping waves. His eyes swept across the scene, a look of surprise on his face.

He saw that, at some point, vast expanses of black water had appeared all around their small boat.

It was as if they were now adrift on a boundless black ocean.

Even stranger...

Despite the boat having no floor, he couldn’t feel the slightest touch of water while standing there.

"Heh heh, pretty neat, huh?"

The Crooked-mouth Daoist grinned. "This boat is forged from a special material. The moment it touches the black water or fog, it automatically forms a barrier. That’s why we’re fine standing on it."

"I’ve certainly never seen anything like it."

Chen Xuan’s eyes flickered with thought.

’A thought suddenly occurred to him.’

’Forget it. I’ll raise my Cultivation first.’

’A big battle is coming soon.’

’If I don’t increase my Cultivation now, when will I?’

"You two will act as my Protectors. Do not disturb me!"

Chen Xuan gave the two a calm glance, then paid them no more mind, his focus shifting to the panel before his eyes.

Retribution Points: 1,751,000

’Retribution points, evolve the Great Sun Glaze Body!’

[Ding! You have consumed 900,000 retribution points to continue evolving the Great Sun Glaze Body. The True Essence within you surges, and your physical body undergoes further changes. At this moment, even the blood in your veins gradually shifts from crimson to a radiant gold.]

[You can clearly feel that your blood is no longer a mere vessel. Each drop is as heavy as a mountain, containing terrifying light and heat. As it flows, it produces a sound like a torrential river and grinding metal.]

[Your power has been further sublimated. You feel your command over the world has reached an entirely new level!]

[After you consumed another 700,000 retribution points, your blood has finally turned completely radiant gold, and the power within you has reached a new threshold!]

[Congratulations, Host! Your Cultivation has risen by another level!]

[You have reached the Outer Saint Fifth Layer!]

BOOM!

A searing, powerful energy surged within Chen Xuan, bringing yet another wave of intangible enhancements to his body.

Even with his deliberate attempts to suppress it, he couldn’t contain it completely.

The monk and the Daoist were both startled. They looked at Chen Xuan, then exchanged a shocked glance.

"What’s happening?"

"Did he just... break through?"

"You’re saying he broke through?"

"Yes, that must have been a breakthrough!"

"What a freak! A total freak!"

The two exchanged thoughts in a rapid-fire succession.

In all their years, they had never seen anyone like Chen Xuan.

He broke through just like that? So easily?

Did he have some sort of epiphany?

But there’s nothing here but black water and black fog. What is there to have an epiphany about?

How in the world did he break through?

The monk and the Daoist were completely baffled.

BOOM!

CRASH!!

Suddenly, a tremendous crash echoed.

The entire boat shuddered violently and broke apart, snapping Chen Xuan out of his reverie. He found himself standing on a single plank, a stunned expression on his face as he looked up.

’A collision?’

Before them loomed a colossal shadow. It was enormous, seven or eight stories high—an impossibly massive ship.

"Oh no, my boat! My boat..."

The boatman began to wail, scrambling in the water, his heart aching as he looked at the wreckage of his small boat.

He had worked for countless years to finally afford that little boat.

And now it was gone.

He knew he shouldn’t have picked up those two jinxes!

No, wait! It’s *three* jinxes!

"My boat! You’re going to pay for my boat!"

The boatman shrieked miserably.

"Damn it! How are you sailing that thing? Are you blind?!"

The Lice Monk shouted, bobbing in the water as he hurled curses at the massive vessel.

"Motherfucker, are you blind?! Get down here and pay for the boat!"

The Crooked-mouth Daoist immediately chimed in with his own furious curses.

"Miss, someone is cursing at us!"

A clear, young woman’s voice drifted down from the deck.

"Pay them."

A cold, calm voice followed, devoid of any emotion.

"Yes, Miss!"

The clear woman’s voice rang out again. Chen Xuan then saw a woman in a turquoise dress appear on the deck of the great ship. She was quite pretty, even adorable, but her eyes held a lofty arrogance. "Here’s your money!!" she said dismissively.

WHIZ!

With a casual flick of her wrist, she sent a money pouch flying from the deck, aimed straight for Chen Xuan’s face.

THWAP!

Chen Xuan snatched it out of the air. His eyes grew cold as he looked up at her.

’How arrogant!’

"And another thing!"

The woman in the turquoise dress looked down coldly, her hands on her hips. In that same clear voice, she announced, "We’ve paid you for the boat. And take a good look—it’s three times the price! But what about you cursing us just now? Whoever did the cursing, we’ll cut out their tongue!"

"Well, I’ll be damned. Someone wants to cut out my tongue!"

This got the Lice Monk fired up.

’It’s been ages since anyone’s threatened me like that!’
