492 Odd-eye
Dilan might be filled with raging emotions, and he might be ready to kill millions of humans or beings of foreign races if necessary, but there were still certain things he didn’t want to happen.
This included the death of small and innocent children. They had yet to grow up, mature and face the harsh realities of the world. Small children were the most innocent and purest.
Their purity of minds and innocence was very important factor in Dilan’s mind, but the most important for him was that small children were not able to defend themselves against others.
It was the duty of every grown-up person to protect them so that they could survive and thrive. Dilan didn’t want to kill small children if it was possible to avoid it.
This was something even his tarnished and power-hungry mind told him, despite being overflowing with all kinds of emotions.
Thus, the first thing Dilan did was to make use of the Power of Destruction. Without much delay, he replaced his Intermediate Elemental Spirits with two Intermediate Wind Spirits, and he began exerting Green Magic not long after as well.
Given his high Agility, his actions were completed in a tenth of a second. It was more than enough time to counter the prepared attack of the Ice Demon.
“I want to intimidate them, not eradicate every soul within the settlement!” Dilan growled at the Ice Demon, who flinched at the sudden power and threat she felt from Dilan.
Nonetheless, she couldn’t terminate her attack anymore, and that was something Dilan had sensed quite clearly.
He had acted quickly enough to counter the Ice Demon’s attack, but he didn’t intend to obliterate the attack without exploiting the terrifying frozen power she was about to unleash at any moment.
“Let it all out, I will take care of the rest!” Dilan shouted out loud after his growl and the Ice Demon instinctively followed his order, releasing all the Frozen Mana that had been stored within her body!
Humongous ice spikes shot out of the ground all around the Ice Demon. The velocity of the spikes was terrific, and it exceeded the speed of ordinary Peak Tier 3 existences by far. Every single being around the Ice Demon was bound to die a horrifying death if not for Dilan’s interference.
He made use of his Power of Destruction, Green Magic, and the power of the two Intermediate Wind Spirits to destroy the ice spikes the moment they were created.
At the same time, Dilan made use of his gauntlets’ item ability [Decay], further amplifying the strength of his Power of Destruction. Every bit of the humongous ice spikes was destroyed at once and the particles of Frozen Mana and remains of the ice spikes were spread throughout the entire settlement with the exertion of Green Magic and the Wind Element.
Whenever the particles of Frozen Mana or the tiny shards of the ice spikes came in touch with something, the retained power within them was unleashed.
As such, the whole settlement turned into a world of ice as everything froze due to the tremendous power of the Frozen Mana. All buildings froze, and so did the Ascenders and Thyrandr that was still located inside the settlement.
As for the Tierless Ascenders and the ordinary humans, Dilan made sure that they were spared the humiliation of witnessing the show he had spontaneously created with the use of the Ice Demon’s Power.
Dilan had to use more than half of his whole mana, which meant that he had used close to 500 Units of Mana just to make sure that the Ice Demon wouldn’t kill anyone right now.
He didn’t want to go against his own words which is why he found himself in the current predicament.
“Bring me all beautiful women in their 20s!” Dilan suddenly announced as he turned his head toward the ordinary human men. In the Undying Group, there were almost no men, nor women, who hadn’t absorbed even a single Essence Crystal. However, it looked like this was something rather normal in the settlement of the human-Thyrandr alliance.
Upon hearing his command, most of the men who were staring straight at the golden Oni mask shuddered involuntarily before they started to move.
They would rather sacrifice the beautiful women in their settlement rather than sacrificing their own, precious life.
Dilan could tell that most men who hadn’t turned Ascenders wouldn’t have a backbone, but he was still a little bit shocked about how fast the men scattered in all directions to follow his command and selfishly save their own necks.
One may wonder why he was searching for a beautiful woman in her 20s, but the answer was quite simple; to find his sister!
Marie Cier was extremely beautiful. She was gorgeous, and her beauty would certainly be a tough competition to the Ice Demoness’s otherworldly appearance.
Thus, it was quite obvious that Marie would be brought to him as well.
Dilan was ready to kidnap her without revealing his identity. He wanted to ask his oldest sister what exactly had happened to her and who was at fault for her pain and suffering. Afterward, he would act accordingly, whatever that may indicate!
It didn’t take the ordinary men long to bring Dilan hundreds of beautiful women. They were struggling to free themselves from the clutches of the men who were viciously dragging them forward. The poor women were crying their souls out and giving their utmost to escape the iron-tight grasps of the desperate men, who were most probably taking them to their graves.
Dilan looked at every single woman for a few seconds before he averted his gaze from them. His gaze did not longer even a second longer than necessary to admire their beauty, their hourglass figure that could cause the wildest imagination in the mind of many men or the fear of the unknown that gleamed brightly in their eyes.
His heart was beating wildly and every second that passed felt like an eternity.
It was only after ten minutes that his heart skipped a beat as he saw an overly familiar, and stunning woman.
A woman with odd eyes, one emerald green, and one sky blue, shoulder-long brown hair that was bound together to a bob, and a slender figure that walked through the rows of desperate men and women with pure and infinite confidence…his sister!
‘As confident as ever. This girl is truly a big…idiot!’ Dilan thought, trying hard not to shout at his sister for acting like a stupid fool.
He couldn’t understand why she would walk toward him, a masked, presumed psychopath with such confidence.
If he would have been a psychopath, crushing the confidence of someone like Marie Cier would have been an addictive game.
Dilan tried to control his emotions but he sighed deeply nonetheless.
‘This girl really needs to be taught how to keep a low profile…’ He thought, only to change his point of view when a sudden idea popped in his head.
‘Well, I can make use of her confidence.’
Dilan cleared his throat and moved his fingers which resulted in the Ice Demoness being pulled closer to him as if she was tied to an invisible string.
“You overly confident woman with odd eyes, come here!” Dilan thundered, pointing at Marie and at the free area next to him.
Marie froze in her steps when she realized that the powerful invader had spoken to her. She had hoped that her confidence would be enough to make her uninterested in the eye of the masked man.
However, the exact opposite seemed to be the case.
p、A,nd A-n、o、ve,1 She had attracted the attention of the man she presumed to be a merciless psychopath.
Yet, oddly enough, her thoughts were different from what she expected from herself when thinking about walking over to the masked men.
‘Can my life even get worse? Probably not…’
