491 Demanding
While the desperate screams of humans of all genders and ages rang through his ears, Dilan focused his attention on the foreign race that had entered an alliance with the humans of this settlement.
All the beings of this race had blue scales covering their body, they were roughly as tall as humans, and their physique was somewhat similar to humans if one ignored that they had two additional pairs of arms growing out of their calves, and huge horns that covered the entire forehead.
In fact, the horns made up for both their forehead and hair as they grew further upward the head of the beings.
Their horns were extremely large in size and deformed their skull giving them a rather uncanny resemblance to humans.
Thyrandr was the name of the race, which was something Dilan found out much later. However, it was not something of his interest because nothing but his sister mattered to him.
Even the deaths of innocent humans didn’t ruffle his feathers as his mind kept imagining the most terrific things all the people in the settlement had done to his sister.
His rage was unbending and Dilan knew that only the death of all the beings who had wronged his sister would be enough to calm him.
He wanted to find his sister, but he couldn’t expose his identity, because it would result in a need to exterminate every single soul in the settlement.
Taking a deep breath, the last bits of Dilan’s rationality made him control the Intermediate Fire Spirit, with the help of which he granted hundreds of beings the immunity to his Inferno of Disintegration.
The Inferno of Disintegration was supposed to be used as a mere means of thwarting them, but Dilan had gone overboard. He had straightaway killed all beings of the foreign race and the strongest Ascenders that had been shrouded in the blazing flames of his attack.
He simply accepted this as a necessary evil to calm his emotions, which had worked much better than expected.
His raging emotions calmed down a lot when the blazing flames of the Inferno of Disintegration dispersed, and the desperate screams of phantom pain were replaced by utter shock and astonishment.
“As I said before, this is my first and last warning. Bring me all your beauties, or you will end like your fellow comrades and get turned into human torches!” Dilan declared while releasing powerful bolts of lightning and blazing flames high into the air.
His powerful aura and commanding stature made everybody cower in fear. That was exactly what he wanted and it was only a matter of time before some Thyrandr and stronger human Ascenders reached the center of their settlement.
Their focus was mostly on Dilan, the fact that he was willing to infiltrate their home openly and all by himself, and the fact that he was overbearingly demanding.
The leaders of the settlement were not in favor of Dilan’s attitude, but they didn’t dare to attack him right off the bat.
In the end, their hesitation was only normal. The average of Dilan’s primary stats exceeded 500 Units, meaning that his stats were higher than most Tier-3 existences could attain in their lifetime.
It was possible for Ascenders to be in possession of passive abilities to strengthen their stats further, but even then Dilan’s average stats would be on the higher side.
After adding the stat amplifications Dilan received from the Silver quality title [Beyond the Stars] and all the pieces of equipment he wore, he was far from comparable to anyone around here.
His power couldn’t be fathomed by the leaders of the settlement, who were inwardly praying that Dilan was merely using a perfect concealment treasure rather than him being actually in possession of strength that was impossible for others to gauge.
However, Dilan’s confidence and his arrival made it quite clear that the human who had dared to walk into the lion’s den all alone was not something to be taken lightly, one way or another.
“I will give you just one minute, and if I cannot see a bunch of beauties until then, I will start slaughtering everyone in this settlement. I will skin you alive and cut you apart in front of everyone!!” Dilan roared out loudly while giving them a glimpse of the threat he could unleash by manifesting the Black Gate to the Demon realm.
Having used 200 Units of his Reinforced Berserk Mana, Dilan knew that a special Peak Tier-3 Demon would be summoned, but that was to his liking.
He wanted something as terrifying as possible to emerge from the black Gate that formed next to Dilan.
Darkness currents oozed out of the fifty meters tall Gate and the surrounding temperature plummeted all of a sudden.
A chilling breeze swept through the center of the settlement and it only intensified further when a small hand reached out from the Gate.
Human fingers that were as pale as ice reached out of the Gate, causing Dilan to frown deeply as he took a look at the Gate.
‘That is not what I wanted….The Nightmare Demon would have been better…’ Dilan thought and he let out a disappointed sigh.
The Nightmare Demon and basically every other Demon Dilan had ever summoned through the Demon Summoning ability of the Blood Eclipse Necklace looked scarier than the otherworldly beauty that was being summoned right now.
A woman, looking just like a pale human emerged from the black and ominous Gate. She had long silky silver hair that cascaded down her slender and frail back.
p Anda nOve1.cO,m She was wearing a white dress and naturally released a tremendous cold that froze the ground and air all around her. It was hard to believe that the woman was not of noble status in the human world, let alone that she was a demon who could wield the power of ice.
Dilan had to control his expression to make it seem as if everything he had just done was planned.
Yet, when the sapphire eyes of the Ice Demoness flicked over to him, the situation changed quite a bit.
“Are you the one who summoned me? I didn’t expect that you were also able to summon me. Zariach and the others told me about you!” The Ice Demoness spoke in the demonic language, only for Dilan to understand.
Dilan returned the Ice Demoness’s gaze, feeling slightly interested but also a little bit annoyed. He had not really summoned the Ice Demon because he longed to chit-chat with someone.
He just wanted someone to further intimidate the Thyrandr and human Ascenders all around him. This didn’t really work out because the otherworldly beautiful human-like figure of the Ice Demon was far from frightening.
Her appearance made heads turn and everybody stood gawking at her, and it made them forget the fear they had felt just moments ago.
“Why are you asking me if I’m the one who summoned you? Don’t you know that already? And why did you come over? I wanted to find someone frightening, not a beauty!” Dilan scolded the Ice Demoness for her beauty and he received an astonishing expression in response to his demand.
“Why would you need someone frightening? To impress these toys and play around with them? I can do that!” The Ice Demoness declared, unleashing the terrific power that was sealed in the deepest parts of her tiny body.
The moment the Ice Demoness said that she could comply with his command, Dilan felt something extremely dangerous. He instinctively activated both [Walk of Thunder] and [Second Acceleration] to increase his Agility to far more than 1000 Units.
Dilan burst forward, he activated [Gravity Domain], and changed his and the Ice Demon’s gravitational force to zero before he appeared next to her.
For a moment, he thought about throwing the Ice-Demoness high into the air. Yet, upon giving it another thought for a quarter of a second, he realized that this action would just showcase that he didn’t actually want to eradicate the entire settlement and that he was not as merciless as he showed on the outside!
‘In that case, I should create another spectacle!’
