Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 508: Slaughter Them All, Slaughter Them All
A figure in red abruptly appeared behind him and struck him square in the back. Behemoth’s massive body was sent flying, crashing through several large trees.
The trees, with trunks so thick it would take a person’s full embrace to circle them, were snapped in two by the impact. Behemoth collapsed weakly to the ground, coughing up mouthfuls of blood, clearly grievously injured.
“Father!” Rhea screamed, rushing over to hold Behemoth before turning to see who had attacked.
An old man in a red robe was standing there, hands clasped behind his back, staring coldly at Behemoth.
At that moment, the members of the Adjudicators behind them all fell to their knees, bowing respectfully to the newcomer.
“Your subordinates greet you, Lord Celestial Decree!”
“The Celestial Decree… It’s the Celestial Decree!” Qiao Dongliang shrieked from the back, his face instantly turning as white as a sheet.
‘No wonder he could incapacitate Behemoth in a single blow. It’s the Celestial Decree.’
The red-robed elder looked at Behemoth and said coldly, “Did you really think the Adjudicators couldn’t handle your Beast Race?
You’re dreaming!
The power of the Adjudicators is beyond anything you can imagine. We’ve allowed you to survive simply because we couldn’t be bothered to eliminate you. But you took our leniency for weakness and dared to challenge our authority with these outsiders. Now, you have only yourself to blame.
Today, not only will you die, but everyone behind you will be buried alongside you! I will send you on your way now!”
As he finished speaking, he raised his right palm. A phantom hand, dozens of feet wide, instantly materialized in the air. It emanated a terrifying pressure that enveloped everyone present. They felt as if a colossal boulder was crushing their chests, making it almost impossible to breathe.
“Now, on your way!” the old man roared, slamming his right hand downward.
The hand in the sky, crackling with thunderous power, plummeted directly toward Behemoth.
“Father, move!” Rhea shrieked, trying to dodge while holding the heavily injured Behemoth.
But in the next moment, she felt as if she were bound by a thousand chains, completely unable to move. All she could do was watch helplessly as the massive hand hurtled toward them, growing ever closer.
Rhea struggled to turn her head and offered Ye Feng a tragic smile. “I was just thinking about how I would properly repay you, but it seems fate won’t give me the chance. See you in the next life!”
With that, she wearily closed her eyes, awaiting death’s embrace.
But a moment later, she heard a sickening SQUELCH, followed by a bloodcurdling scream. The terrifying pressure vanished in an instant.
Rhea opened her eyes in confusion, and they immediately shot wide open.
The terrifying Celestial Decree had been cleaved clean in two, his body crashing heavily to the ground.
Before the fallen body stood a somewhat slender figure, yet he was as steady as a rock.
It was Ye Feng!
Ye Feng looked at the red-robed elder’s corpse and said coldly:
“Trying to kill those I care about right in front of me? You were courting death.”
“Ye Feng!” Rhea cried out excitedly. She struggled to her feet and threw her arms around his back, a joyous smile spreading across her face.
“Ye Feng, I never imagined you were this strong! You’re a true warrior in my eyes now!”
The Beast Race was a martial society that respected strength above all else. Having been raised in this environment, Rhea only truly respected those who were stronger than she was.
When Behemoth had planned to betroth her to Ye Feng after he’d restored her appearance, she had agreed, but it was mostly out of gratitude. Deep down, she was still resistant to the idea. Subconsciously, she couldn’t accept a man weaker than herself.
She had always believed that the time Ye Feng had managed to remove her veil was only because he had caught her by surprise.
But now she knew the truth. Ye Feng wasn’t some weakling; he was a being even more powerful than her own father.
In that moment, she was utterly conquered. Her heart had completely surrendered to Ye Feng.
‘To find a man like him… I’m content.’
She pressed her blushing face against Ye Feng’s back and said shyly:
“My hero… if we make it out of this alive, I’ll marry you willingly and bear you a litter of cubs!”
“COUGH, COUGH, COUGH…” Ye Feng began to cough violently.
Behind them, Qiao Dongliang and Qiao Ling’er stared at Ye Feng, their mouths hanging wide open in shock.
‘They knew Ye Feng was strong, but they never imagined he was *this* strong! That was the Celestial Decree! A supreme master at Tier Three of the Daoist Saint realm or higher! And Ye Feng had just… cleaved him in two with a single, casual motion? Heavens, just how powerful is he?’
Farther back, Lin Peipei stared at Ye Feng, her lovely eyes wide with disbelief.
‘I always thought this Young Lord had just coasted into his position on his master’s reputation. But now I see that’s not it at all. He earned his title entirely through his own strength!’
The corners of Lin Peipei’s lips curled up slightly as she murmured, “The Boss’s arrangement… it seems it wasn’t bad at all!”
The next moment, a faint blush rose on her cheeks.
The remaining Adjudicators stared at Ye Feng, their eyes filled with terror. He had defeated Lord Celestial Decree in a single blow; how could they possibly hope to fight him?
With a collective shriek, the Adjudicators scattered, fleeing into the woods.
Behemoth’s eyes went bloodshot with rage. He gritted his teeth and roared, “Get them! Kill them all! Kill every last one!”
With a unified roar, everyone charged forward and began a ruthless slaughter.
The routed remnants of the Adjudicators fled without putting up a fight, scrambling up the mountain. Rhea led the others in hot pursuit.
