Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 506 - 505: All Brothers, Heed the Command: March on Scorpion Mountain
The words had barely faded when the roar of motorcycles echoed from the distance. Everyone turned to look, just in time to see a convoy of bikes screeching to a halt. A troop of mercenaries dismounted and fell into neat formation.
A woman of peerless beauty strode out from their midst, stopping before Ye Feng. She spoke respectfully, "Lin Peipei and her subordinates have arrived and await the Young Master's command."
The Guildmaster of the Mercenary Guild, Lin Peipei.
Seeing this impressive display of force, Qiao Dongliang burst out laughing. "Good kid! Now I'm confident we can take on The Decree!"
With that, he waved his arm and roared, "All brothers, hear my command! We march on Scorpion Mountain!"
Behemoth also roared, "Move out!"
Lin Peipei brandished her greatsword and shouted crisply, "Move out!"
The vast procession advanced, making their way toward Scorpion Mountain.
The wind grew fiercer, whipping yellow sand across the desolate land, seemingly reaching for the ninth heaven.
The great company marched for ten kilometers until a majestic mountain, its peak piercing the clouds, became faintly visible ahead.
The company advanced to the foot of the mountain, where a group of people blocked their path.
A tall man in a white robe stepped out from the group and barked coldly:
"This is the hallowed ground of The Decree! All of you, retreat at once, or be killed without mercy!"
Before his voice could fade, Qiao Dongliang let out a yell and leaped forward, bringing his great saber down on the man's head. "Shut the hell up!"
The tall, white-robed man couldn't dodge in time and was cleaved in two.
Qiao Dongliang brandished his great saber and roared, "Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
The forces behind him drew their weapons and charged, crashing into the members of The Decree.
The clang of metal on metal erupted instantly, mixed with battle cries that shook the heavens. Blood sprayed, and severed limbs flew through the air.
After ten-some minutes, the battlefield finally fell silent. The members of The Decree had been cut down to the last man.
Qiao Dongliang raised his saber high and led his people charging up the mountain.
But they hadn't charged far before another group came roaring toward them.
"Kill them!" Qiao Dongliang roared, charging forward and bringing his saber down on a white-robed man.
But before his saber could connect, the white-robed man's right foot flew up and kicked him squarely in the abdomen.
Qiao Dongliang was sent flying sideways, crashing heavily to the ground and spitting mouthfuls of blood.
He was severely wounded in a single exchange.
The fat, white-robed man pointed at Qiao Dongliang and spoke in a cold voice:
"You dare cause trouble on the sacred ground of The Decree? Is the Qiao family looking to die?"
The moment he finished speaking, Lin Peipei charged forward. She violently thrust her longsword at the white-robed man's heart.
The fat, white-robed man failed to dodge, and the sword pierced his heart. He let out a wretched scream as his body suddenly went rigid.
Lin Peipei said coldly, "Your Decree isn't worth shit!"
As soon as Lin Peipei spoke, a tall, thin, white-robed man appeared abruptly and struck at her with his right palm.
Lin Peipei was sent flying by the blow. The sinister voice of a tall, thin man in a black robe sounded out, "You dare provoke the dignity of The Decree? Is the Mercenary Guild looking to die as well?"
Qiao Dongliang, who was farther back, saw the tall, thin man in the black robe and his pupils constricted. "A Grand Enforcer!"
The words had just left his mouth when a graceful figure charged past, swinging an animal bone in her hands and bringing it down directly on the tall, thin, white-robed man's head.
With a dull SQUELCH, the tall, thin, white-robed man's head was smashed directly into his chest cavity. He collapsed to the ground, dead.
The one who had acted was Rhea.
Rhea spoke coolly, "So what if they're The Decree? Are their heads made of iron? I don't think so!"
With that, she waved the animal bone in her hand and roared, "Warriors, charge with me!"
She then took the lead, charging out and laying into the white-robed men with her weapon.
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
The crowd behind her followed the charge, leaving a field of corpses on the ground.
Seeing how easily they had slaughtered the white-robed men, Ye Lingtian looked at Qiao Dongliang beside him and spoke with contempt:
"This Decree isn't so tough after all!"
Lin Peipei shook her head, her expression grave. "This is just the outer perimeter of The Decree. The strongest we've seen so far was only a Grand Enforcer.
"The most powerful Grand Enforcers are only at the Tier Nine Peak of the Daoist Saint realm. Beyond them are the Earth Judges. An Earth Judge is at least a Tier One Dao Venerable.
"And they aren't the strongest. After them come the Celestial Decree. A Celestial Decree's cultivation is at least Tier Three Dao Venerable, and some are even Tier Five Dao Venerables.
"And you think that's the top? It's not. The most powerful one in The Decree is the even more terrifying Chief!
"How terrifyingly high is the Chief's cultivation? No one knows, because everyone who has seen him make a move is already dead!"
Hearing this, the color drained from Ye Lingtian's face. A mere Grand Enforcer had required Rhea to act. Who among them could possibly deal with the Earth Judges, the Celestial Decree, and the Chief?
On their side, the only ones who could possibly match them were Behemoth and Ye Feng!
In truth, everyone understood that the final outcome of this battle would be decided by these supreme experts. It wouldn't matter how many more people they had; they would be useless.
Ye Lingtian's brow furrowed. 'This battle is going to be difficult!'
Just then, Ye Feng, who was standing nearby, spoke calmly, "No matter how strong they are, they're still human. And as long as they're human, they can be knocked to the ground. What's there to be afraid of?"
Ye Lingtian's courage was instantly bolstered. He nodded and said, "That's right. They're human, not gods. Kill!"
With that, he followed Rhea and charged into the fray.
