Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1907: Visiting the Hospital for News

  • Next Chapter

Jerry could only comply, but why was he going to the hospital?

He didn’t even have time to ask before CEO Kingston disappeared from his sight.

Justin Kingston didn’t bring a driver; he drove himself to the hospital.

Of course, he knew which ward Bibi was staying in because Jerry had told him before.

But this was his first time visiting.

Taking the elevator upstairs, he arrived outside the ward. Through the small glass window, he saw the scene inside: a young man holding a book, sitting by the bed, reading to a girl.

Generally, it’s not good to disturb such a scene, so Justin Kingston hesitated.

"You want to tell a story, but you’re just reading it, hoping to show off your skills?" Joanna Sawyer teased him, and smiling, she took the book from his hand. "Henry Chase, you’ve been with me for so long, go home and rest."

She looked at him apologetically. "Really, go back." As a good friend, she truly felt a bit sorry.

"You haven’t been discharged yet, how can I be at ease with you alone?"

"My sister will come after work, I told her, she’ll stay with me overnight. I’m being discharged tomorrow, aren’t I? The doctor also said there’s no big problem."

Was she trying to send him away?

The young man felt a bit unhappy, a small sense of disappointment in his heart. "Joanna, I..."

"Go ahead, I want to sleep for a while." The girl softly interrupted. She didn’t want to hear his confession again; after countless refusals, she was finding it hard to turn him down anymore.

At this moment, the ward door was gently pushed open, and Justin Kingston walked in.

Upon hearing the door open, Henry Chase turned his eyes, and Joanna Sawyer looked up, her eyes widening, even her breath skipped a beat!!

CEO Kingston????

Although she had never seen him in person, she had seen him on TV!!

Seen him in interviews, in finance magazines!

Henry Chase, of course, also knew who he was—Riventhal’s famous figure, but he hadn’t expected him to appear here.

Henry stood up, his gaze fixed on Justin Kingston. Why had he come?

"Hello, Miss Bibi, I’m Justin Kingston." His manner was gentlemanly and courteous, his demeanor gentle, trying not to frighten her.

"I-I know, hello CEO Kingston." The girl said a bit bashfully, "I have a fracture, but the doctor said I could be discharged tomorrow. I’ll report to the company then."

"I’m not here today to rush your work." He explained, "Assistant Xiang told me about your situation. I’ve come to..."

Because there were others present, he deliberately paused his words.

And the girl understood his intention, using the opportunity to say to the young man beside her, "Henry Chase, you go back first. My sister will be here soon, you really don’t have to worry about me."

First, Assistant Xiang kept bringing homemade canned goods, and now even the CEO had come.

Henry Chase felt a lot of pressure.

A feeling of encountering rivals everywhere, in short, he liked Joanna, so everyone seemed like a rival to him.

"Okay, we’ll keep in touch." Even though he was reluctant, he still lifted his feet and left.

"I wanted to consult you about some matters regarding your sister, Abby Sawyer. Is that convenient?" Justin Kingston showed no airs and promptly stated his intention.

Regarding her sister?

The girl couldn’t quite understand what he needed to consult about.

But the girl smiled brightly, "Of course, as long as it’s something I know."

Justin Kingston sat down in the chair, his gentle gaze resting on the girl’s face. "Do you know about your sister’s first love? Or rather, how much do you know?"

Upon hearing this, the girl’s expression instantly changed as if some taboo of hers had been touched.

But Justin Kingston’s eyes carried a trace of sincerity. He had come today specifically for this matter; he had to leave with some information!

At this moment, Abby Sawyer had just clocked out and was driving toward the hospital.
