Chapter 1942: News From The River (1)
“Is everyone farming? So ultimately, it’s a competition of who’s the better farmer. Is that the case? A pity that Human Emperor wasn’t able to complete his work here. Culture King…the most unreliable ally ever. No, wait, it’s Martial King!”
Su Yu muttered to himself. It was understandable that Culture King had to leave to save his little sister. But Martial King was truly unreliable for leaving as well. Because of that unreliable fellow, Human Emperor’s plan had collapsed.
Su Yu couldn’t help but wonder what Human Emperor’s reaction would be upon learning that both Culture King and Martial King had left.
Did he have a “what the fuck” face?
Poor guy.
He was still in the middle of opening his dao when the two went missing. Then, the myriad races started stirring, forcing him to stop and deal with them instead. How frustrating had that been?
As Su Yu imagined Human Emperor’s reaction back then, he felt like laughing.
“All these masterless daos are fake daos. They are unstable, but they can indeed help someone grow stronger. They are also easier to comprehend.”
Su Yu looked around at the numerous masterless daos around him. The danger of cultivating these fake daos wasn’t too great since the farmer, Human Emperor, wasn’t around. Otherwise, they would all be extremely vulnerable to his harvesting.
“Has nobody been here before? But it feels so easy to reach this place. Is it thanks to the little stone?”
Su Yu guessed that the little stone was playing a big role in suppressing this dao. He had been able to reach this place without suffering much suppression. Perhaps others couldn’t come this far. Otherwise, they could have harvested the daos here instead of fighting outside. Unlike the daos outside, the daos here were yet to be broken up.
“What a nice place. This is a good place to feed one’s own dao or switch to a different dao.”
Su Yu took the chance to absorb the power around him to strengthen his dao. In fact, he could already sense the pen dao from this place. But to reach it, he would need to enter the River of Time proper.
“I can slightly strengthen the pen dao here. Or perhaps I can try to find a way into the real River of Time.”
When he was on the River of Time proper, he would be able to rapidly grow by pushing his mastery of the pen dao even if he wasn’t at the tributary itself. Killing people was not his priority here. There was no rush.
At that thought, Su Yu stood up and flew up. It was time for him to take a look at the node. But he found himself incapable of flying all the way to the top. He tried several times, but he was washed down by the water current repeatedly.
Returning was clearly much harder than coming.
Su Yu frowned. After some thought, a gust of immortal qi started swirling around him. Then, he roared and tore at the net around him. He should be able to leave from the net itself. After all, he could even hear the shouts of those outside from here.
Since he couldn’t go up, he could go down. With a roar, he tore a tiny opening before slipping through it.

At the same time.
Not long ago, an incomplete dao had appeared within a large canyon. Eight Daofuses had arrived to fight over it. The battle was intense, as though the world itself was collapsing.
Suddenly, the sky cracked apart.
Then, a silhouette appeared in the sky.
All the combatants looked over.
“An immortal?”
Someone cursed. Damn it! Another immortal was here!
There were already two immortals there. Both were overjoyed to see Su Yu’s arrival. One of them shouted, “Here!”
A tearing sound rang out.
Su Yu merely glanced at them before ripping the space apart and stepping through the rift.
Silence descended.
Everyone was stunned. The immortal who had just snatched the incomplete dao started cursing.
Fuck!
Which bastard was that? That wasn’t a familiar face. But that wasn’t the issue here. The issue was that the unknown bastard had left without bothering to help! What was the meaning of that?
They had all assumed that the unknown immortal had reached this place by moving through the River of Time. Why did that bastard leave right after arriving?
As for the other experts, they were quite alarmed when the newcomer arrived. The newcomer felt quite powerful. From the aura of the newcomer, he was clearly a peak Daofuse. The addition of such an opponent would be hard to deal with. But surprisingly, the newcomer had left immediately.
A devil laughed heartily and said, “Rainlife Marquis, looks like your fellow immortal does not wish to take part in this. I suggest you hand over the dao obediently.”
“Die!”
They resumed their assault against the two immortals. As for the unknown third immortal, they only needed to stay wary while fighting. Since the unknown immortal had left, it was unlikely that he would turn back. Or perhaps he had gone to seek reinforcement.
In any case, it would be in their best interest to end this battle as soon as possible. Nobody bothered to pursue Su Yu. What was the point? He didn’t even have the dao. And thus, the intense battle continued. The two immortals were losing their minds. They had gotten lucky to stumble upon the newly emerged incomplete dao.
But unfortunately, there were quite a lot of Daofuses in the area. The newcomer felt quite strong, so they had felt quite hopeful when he appeared. But that bastard had left immediately. How infuriating!
“Which bastard was that?”
“We need to file a formal complaint to the assembly about him!”
The two immortals conversed as they fled.
They were furious at the irresponsible bastard who had left without bothering to help them.

Meanwhile, Su Yu was completely unbothered about them.
There were eight Daofuses there, but he did not want to waste his time on them. He wouldn’t enjoy facing so many Daofuses at the same time. After all, he was not a heavenly king.
After returning to the river, he found that he was no longer at the waterfall. This time, he started going upstream. With the stone in hand, he was able to advance rapidly. Every now and then, he would pass by some random tributaries. Clearly, these were the daos of those who had cultivated Human Emperor’s fake daos.
This time, the responsibility dao had not appeared. Perhaps it was disappointed with Su Yu’s irresponsible act of jumping over the waterfall. Thus, it had decided to look for other candidates as well.
Su Yu did not care. It was no big deal. This dao was too powerful. He suspected that he wouldn’t be able to break free from it after accepting it. For now, the pen dao was sufficient for now. The pen dao was much weaker, so it should be much easier to break free from.
“Well, it’s not like I can only inherit it. Perhaps I can find a way to steal from it.”
Suddenly, a new idea emerged in Su Yu’s mind. The Mark of Civilization lacked the power to nurture the various daos he was cultivating since he intended to cultivate the myriad daos as well. Human Emperor had provided the perfect system to steal from the River of Time. Furthermore, the system was abandoned.
“Right!”
Su Yu’s eyes flickered. Should he steal from Human Emperor’s dao instead?
“What a pity that I don’t have enough pages. All my pages are being used to nurture my other daos. Otherwise, I could have used some to steal from here and nuture my own fake daos.”
The more he thought about it, the more tempted he was.
Yes.
He decided to do so. There were plenty of masterless daos here.
And he was free to steal from this river since Human Emperor wouldn’t be back anytime soon. It was only fine that he stole from Human Emperor, who was stealing from the River of Time. If his theft somehow triggered Human Emperor’s return, even better. Good! Finally, that fellow was back. He could then shed the burden of humanity to Human Emperor.
With that thought in mind, Su Yu continued onward. He wanted to check the node. That would be the better place for him to strengthen his mastery over the pen dao. First, he had to strengthen himself.
Even if he couldn’t reach the Lower Realm, he had to check how far away the node was. The further he went, the stronger he could feel it. The pen dao was getting nearer and nearer. Evidently, the opening to the River of Time was big enough to allow the pen dao’s influence to reach this far.
Suddenly, Su Yu blanked out. He did not know how far he had gone. He only knew that he had gone quite a distance. Just what was he looking at? He saw someone else in this river! Or to be precise, he saw a shackled individual.
That seemed to be a silhouette of someone struggling violently. The silhouette seemed to have noticed something as well. Abruptly, the silhouette turned to look in Su Yu’s direction. The silhouette was located at the point connecting a tributary and the river.
Looking at the torrential water ahead of him, Su Yu could see that the node was near. When Su Yu focused on the silhouette, he noted that the silhouette was shackled by numerous tributaries. Or to be precise, the silhouette was shackled by several fake daos.
Seemingly having sensed Su Yu’s presence, the silhouette’s ethereal voice rang out in fury, “Who is it? Release me!”
Boom!
As the silhouette roared furiously, several tributaries shook violently.
“When I regain my freedom, all of you will die! Yue Luo! Why? Why, Yue Luo?”
“…”
Boom!
The silhouette looked crazy, as though it had been too many years since he had last spoken to anyone. Thus, he reacted intensely even after sensing some faint presence from afar. The various tributaries were keeping him shackled.
Su Yu slowed down with an odd expression.
Hundred Battle King?
Was this where Hundred Battle King was sealed?
“He’s shackled by multiple daos.”
Su Yu’s eyes flickered. Interesting. Clearly, several powerhouses had joined hands to seal him. And he was sealed near the node.
“Did they somehow punch through the River of Time while they were battling in the Lower Realm to reach this place? No! The node! The entrance to the Lower Realm!”
The node was here! This confirmed that Human Emperor’s river was really connected to the Lower Realm. Was Hundred Battle blasted to the Upper Realm through that node? Was that why he ended up sealed here?
“So he’s here. No wonder he can’t escape.”
Su Yu observed from afar. The silhouette was merely a projection. Hundred Battle’s real body wasn’t here. His real body was probably being suppressed somewhere in the Dao Origin Land.
He was constantly being watched by several powerhouses. From the fake daos around him, it was clear that the people watching over him were all fake dao cultivators.
