Transmigrator: I Arrived With 100 Million Years As A Time Seller!
Chapter 15: Wife-To-Be’s Sudden Invitation To An Unexpected Location
The next morning, Ryan received the driver’s license right at his doorstep. He only had to forward a few details to Tony Lincoln, who immediately sorted everything out with the blink of an eye.
It was a Sunday, so Ryan decided to stay at home all day and spend time with Emily.
They saw a dystopian movie where Emily just had to pick the character that had suffered the most all through the movie, and the fact that Ryan picked the villain as his favorite because of his motivation made Emily a little upset, but then Ryan still ended up choosing the all-soft female protagonist when he noticed that she really wasn’t happy about it.
"Maya is a good, independent woman. She solved all the problems they had with her intelligence and emotional strength. She’s definitely the best character," Emily said with her eyes sharp.
And Ryan only stared at her with a funny face.
’What does this kid know about emotional strength?’ he asked inwardly without daring to connect his facial expression with his thoughts.
"That’s true. That’s true," Ryan said to her as he shook his head.
"Someday, you will be like her. Intelligent and emotionally strong," Ryan added.
And Emily approved of that, and there wasn’t any other thing that could be her motivation.
A woman who led an entire community to retrieving their land after decades of slavery? There were men... Grown men who would have stood up to face the conflict themselves, but then...
Maya Hayes was just the protagonist who carried the weight on her shoulders.
At that time, they were still watching the final part of the movie when Ryan suddenly received a call.
It happened to be an unknown number, which he still picked up anyway.
"Hello, handsome..."
The voice he heard on the other end appeared so familiar that he immediately recognized it.
’Emma.’
’Uhh... Hello, Miss Emma. How are you doing?’ Ryan went almost diplomatic in a split second.
"I am fine. I believe you are too?" she asked.
"Very well," he responded.
"So I was thinking..." Emma began.
And Ryan himself could believe that he already knew where this was heading.
He could directly say that he knew why Emma had called.
"I was thinking if we could meet today. I mean... In an hour. I already got a place booked, and I would love to send you the address if you don’t mind," she said.
Ryan’s cheeks swelled up the next moment, as he turned to Emily, who was pretty focused on the TV.
He had promised to spend most of the day with her, and even though they had stayed for almost the entirety of the three-hour movie, Ryan still wanted to spend more time.
Soon, he might get too busy with the company, and Emily would be a schoolgirl. It might take a lot of time before they hung out very much, and Ryan didn’t want that to be a problem.
But then...
He had just been paid twenty-five million dollars to marry her, and right on the other hand was his fiancée.
He’s never gotten to know her better than just knowing she was the only daughter of Andrew Lincoln’s eldest son.
Maybe meeting her won’t hurt, as far as he could rush things and get back to Emily on time.
Ryan went to get dressed, and when he returned to the living room, the movie was already concluded.
However, Emily happened to be sitting off sadly with a disappointed look on her face.
"What’s the problem, Emily?" he had to ask.
"Maya... She didn’t make it in the end, but she helped defeat Kariot’s group, and they returned to Destiny Land," she explained, that slight inevitable look of pain still on her face.
Kariot was the name of the villain in the movie, and Ryan already knew that he would have to die to make a satisfying ending. However, he wasn’t expecting the hero to die as well, and he understood why Emily was upset.
Maya had gone through a lot just to die in the end, and it would be unacceptable for some fans.
But then...
"Life can be cruel sometimes," Ryan said to her as he patted her head.
"It’s just a movie anyway. I’m sure the actress is somewhere in one of the best mansions in one of the best cities in the world, enjoying her Sunday," Ryan then added.
"So... Don’t grieve the death of a fictional character. Learn from it."
Emily looked at him and nodded.
"Where are you heading, Big Brother? You promised to spend the whole day with me," Emily asked.
"Yeah, I did. But I’m sorry, I will have to step out for a while for some appointments. I promise, I’ll be back in a few hours," Ryan said.
Emily didn’t argue or complain and just nodded. Why would she?
She already had one of the best moments of her life seeing a movie with her Big Brother for the very first time in years.
Since their parents died, their priority had always been about surviving. No one thought about seeing a movie. Plus, it wasn’t as if they had a TV to begin with.
"Alright. Take care. I’ll be waiting!"
Those were the last words he heard as he closed the door behind him and walked out of the building.
Beep!
A notification immediately appeared on his screen, which was a message from the same number that had called.
(Emma: The address, sweetheart.)
(Emma: Room 94, Kingsley Hotel.)
"A hotel?!"
"A fucking hotel??? Really???"
Ryan’s eyes were the first thing to light up the moment he read the text, and he just didn’t know the exact reaction to give.
"Why are we meeting in a hotel? What happened to the bars and restaurants?" he wondered.
But then he decided not to think too far as his mind wanted him to.
Sure, he knew what could happen when a man and a woman were in a hotel room, but at least this wasn’t the best time to judge.
He pulled up in his newly acquired Lamborghini Urus and drove right to Kingsley Hotel, which was also located in the same city.
When he arrived at the hotel, he notified the attendant that he was invited to Room 94, and they confirmed it before he was allowed to go in.
The door opened after a ring, and what Ryan saw the next moment had his eyes widening in awe.
A certain familiar figure was lying on the bed with her legs crossed.
She only had a towel on and was wearing a shower cap on her head as well.
There was this look she struck at him the moment he sighted her, and it would only be a fool who wouldn’t understand the intentions she had.
"Hey there, husband-to-be..." Emma called, rolling her tongue out of her mouth.
Then she raised her hand and used a single finger to gesture the "come here" sign.
Ryan?
Well, standing right at the side of the door was a young man who hadn’t gotten anything to do with a woman in his life.
And a soul that had done literally everything with a woman and was seeing this as a perfect opportunity to have a first taste of a woman on Planet Earth.
’Gosh... Those laps.’
[Damn it, Brother. You never change.]ℯℯ𝑙.
