VIVIAN / VEGA

She is truly beautiful.

Vega’s eyes remained fixed on Vivian.

She stood before him in her military uniform, her long hair neatly tied back, her posture straight and confident.

She looks like a goddess in that uniform.

He quickly frowned at his own thoughts.

Why was he thinking like this? She is just a little soldier. Just a bit pretty.

Vivian walked toward him.

Vega’s eyes followed every step she took, never leaving her face.

When she stopped in front of him, she waved a hand in front of his face.

"Sentinel?"

Vega blinked and immediately cleared his throat.

"Vi... Vi... Vivian... w-why are you here?"

His voice came out awkwardly.

"I told you that you couldn’t come again. Didn’t Instructor Vincent tell you? I don’t want a caregiver." His tone was cold.

Vivian stared at him for a moment before laughing inwardly.

Why is he so different from the other day?

The clingy male is gone. Is this another Vega? Why does he talk weirdly? Is he a stutterer?

She smiled politely. "I’m sorry, Sentinel. He never told me. He only sent me to you. He never reported your disapproval of me."

Vega cleared his throat again. "My decision is final. I don’t want you here."

"Okay."

Vivian nodded and turned around.

She hadn’t even taken two steps when..

"Ah...you.. You... !" Vega’s voice stopped her.. "Are you leaving just like that?"

Vivian slowly turned around.

She folded her arms. "You said I should leave. Why are you calling me back?"

Vega opened his mouth. "Mmm..."

Nothing came out. He cleared his throat. "Mmm... I..."

Vivian raised an eyebrow.

Alex, who had been watching the exchange with amusement, finally walked over.

He casually draped an arm around Vivian’s shoulders.

"Don’t mind him. Vivian Astronova. His lips are just too tight. He doesn’t know what to say."

Vivian immediately pulled Alex’s arm away. Why is he touching me? So rude!!

She took a step back, her expression turning serious. "I am Vivian Lilian."

Her voice was firm. "I am no longer an Astronova."

Alex’s smile widened. He reached out and lightly tapped her forehead. "Do you really think you can pull yourself out of the Astronova shackles? It’s in the blood except you want to drain all your blood, filter the Astronova and the Lilian’s aside. Then keep Lilian’s blood. "

Vivian glared at him. "If it’s possible I can do it. But whether I can pull myself out or drain the blood isn’t your business."

Alex was momentarily taken aback.

Then he laughed. "You’re different from the Vivian I met a year ago."

Vivian’s eyes narrowed. Her fingers clenched at her side.

Alex continued casually. "She was completely immersed in her princess title. She bullied males everywhere she went."

Vivian’s expression stiffened. "She once broke Ashley’s family’s son Ashton’s leg. Isaac Lilian had to personally step in and mediate before the matter could be settled."

Vivian clenched her fists.

What?

She had no idea about that.

She already knew the original Vivian had done terrible things.

She knew about the lies involving Caelan and scamming Aston.

But apparently... There was much more.

How many things did this woman do? What did she do? More than me killing Ina.

Vivian sighed in frustration. "You know... kids grow up."

She shrugged. "Now that my Beast father is gone, I have no one to mediate for me anymore. So I had to grow up."

Alex stared at her. "Really?"

Then his lips curved into a mischievous smile.

"Do you still like me?"

Vivian froze.

"You once said you wanted to take me home."

He leaned closer, teasingly. "You even said you wanted me as your Bed Slave."

Vega’s fingers tightened around the armrest of his wheelchair.

Alex grinned. "Does that offer still count? Because I’m ready. I don’t want to be a high ranked Doctor anymore. Time to eat from my Mistress Pocket."

Vivian’s face turned dark.

What?!

She had absolutely no memory of saying that!

She hadn’t recovered all of the original Vivian’s memories yet, and apparently, every time she learned something new, she wanted to bury herself deeper.

She took a deep breath. "I already have a Beast husband."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "So?"

"So I don’t need another one."

Vivian gave him a serious look. "Forgive my past words and find someone else that can feed you.."

Vega’s expression became even colder.

Beast husband? Who? When? Why don’t I know about that?

He looked away.

Alex laughed. "You really have changed."

Vivian ignored him. She turned toward Vega and bowed slightly.

"Sentinel, I am leaving. I have other things to do."

Vega immediately spoke. "If you want me to talk to Vincent about giving you a better position, I can help."

Vivian blinked.

He paused. "At least... to repay you for taking care of me."

Vivian shook her head quickly. "No, no. Thank you."

She bowed again. "It was part of my job."

Then she turned. "I have other things to do. I’m leaving."

And before either man could say another word... Vivian walked away. Then she walked faster. She practically ran away without turning back.

Nope!

I’m not staying here long enough for this man to pull.off my old pants in public. How do I face Vega now? If he knew I touched his chest. What would he think of me?. That I am.that kind of female that goes crazy for Males. My reputation will.be Worse than this. My crush on him ends there now. No more Sentinel Vega!!

She disappeared through the doorway.

Alex watched her leave with an amused expression.

Behind him, Vega’s hand remained tightly wrapped around the wheelchair’s armrest.

Finally, he asked coldly, "Did she really want you to be her Sex slave?"

Alex turned. A slow smile appeared on his face. "I thought you didn’t care about her."

Vega’s expression hardened. "Why would I care?"

"Then why are you asking?"

Alex leaned closer. "Are you jealous?"

Vega immediately turned his face away. "No." His ears were slightly red. "I am only being cautious." He frowned. "She was only seventeen then. Why would she..."

His voice trailed off. "Why would she..."

Alex burst out laughing. "Stop thinking rubbish."

Vega looked at him. "You said it yourself."

"I was testing her."

Alex shrugged. "She didn’t say anything like that to me. Vivian and I had never had a conversation or stand alone to talk. I have only watched her from afar since you talked about her."

Vega frowned. "Then why did you say it?"

Alex’s expression became more serious. "Because this Vivian today is different. "

He looked toward the doorway where she had disappeared. "The Vivian I saw last year was completely different."

Vega listened silently.

"I once saw her flogging two male beasts in a shopping mall because they supposedly disrespected her."

Alex shook his head. "She was mean. Rude. The way she walked was crude. The way she spoke..."

He paused. "She behaved like a local tyrant who believed the entire world belonged to her."

Vega’s eyes narrowed. "But today’s Vivian?"

Alex smiled. "She is soft-spoken. She knows when to retreat. She knows when to fight."

He folded his arms. "And more importantly..."

His gaze sharpened. "She doesn’t remember things she should remember."

Vega looked at him. "You think she isn’t the same person?"

Alex nodded slowly. "I said those things earlier to confirm something."

He smiled. "And she believed every word."

Vega’s expression changed. "You mean..."

Alex lowered his voice. "She might be a transmigrator."

Silence filled the room. Vega’s fingers slowly tightened around the armrest again. "A transmigrator in the Military..."

His voice became cold. "That is not good."

Alex looked at him. "You sound like you want to report her."

Vega said nothing.

"But we’re not sure," Alex continued. "So don’t do anything yet."

He stepped closer. "It’s better to keep her under your nose and find out whether she really is Vivian."

Vega scoffed. "What is it to me whether she is Vivian or not?"

Alex smiled. "Are you sure you don’t want to care?"

Vega turned his wheelchair away. "I don’t."

He paused. Then his voice became colder. "If she really is a transmigrator..."

He looked toward the door Vivian had disappeared through. "We’ll lock her up in your science lab until her real soul returns."

Alex’s smile slowly disappeared. Really?

Vega continued calmly. "There is no need to inform the Military."

Alex stared at him and said...."If you really want this female. I can forget about all female ethics, the Astronovas and bring her to you. The Astronova is nothing to your family. Just the Royal title. And now they have successfully got involved with Commander Caelan and Prince Nerion. It’s better you get her now. Before it’s too late."

Vega remained silent.

"We all know there is no female that has successfully cut a Royal Clan off their name without being touched..if its ordinary family.its possible..but not a Royal clan like the Astronovas..their blood runs thicker than Snow."
