Seeing that Mrs. Hughes had finally quieted down, Keith Coleman turned to leave.

Christopher Sterling also left with Lana Sheffield. The recent fiasco had made him take note of Keith Coleman.

"Christopher, Melody Monroe has already left Stellaris, but Rose Shaw is still so close to her. Won’t that affect the company? Rose also sold that script she was holding onto to Melody for next to nothing. That’s a serious violation of company policy!"

She knew Evan Fairchild had bought this apartment, so she hadn’t moved her things out. He had also bought the one across the hall, and she carried a key to it as well.

Auntie Lana came by regularly to clean, so the apartment was spotless.

"Rose, it’s for the best that you didn’t go through with the engagement. You made the right decision."

"Having your support makes me feel much better."

"You sit down for a bit. I’ll go boil some water."

Melody Monroe had just finished boiling the water when she heard a knock on the door. It was probably Winter Kane with Keith Coleman.

Rose Shaw quickly stood up to get the door.

Seeing him struggle, Rose Shaw helped him to the sofa. She was surprised Keith Coleman had arrived so quickly, as they had only just gotten there themselves.

’No wonder Melody wasn’t worried at all.’

"How did you get so badly injured?"

"I sparred with my boss."

"Are you sure it was ’sparring’? And not just a one-sided beating?" Rose Shaw retorted.

Melody Monroe brought the water over and steeped a pot of tea.

Rose Shaw looked at Keith Coleman’s miserable state and gently shook her head.

"Rose, why don’t you stay here tonight?" Melody Monroe really didn’t want Rose Shaw to go back to her own home alone.

The decor in that house was just too depressing, and it felt cold and sterile.

"Melody, should I have Talia Mercer book a hotel for me? I rushed to Rockwellburg this morning and haven’t arranged a place to stay yet."

"How did you even get to Rockwellburg in your condition? Did you come alone?"

"I hired a car."
