Transformed into a Penguin: My Evolution Penguin System
Chapter 315: The Floor Turned, and His Feet Did Not Lie
Jiang spent twelve minutes preening instead of proving anything.
He stood on the dry medical strip and worked the disturbed oilcoat back into alignment with his beak. Aylin checked the compressed line at minutes four, eight, and twelve. She asked before each inspection and touched only the feather edges he accepted.

Food fell from1:57 to1:45 while they waited. The clock counted ordinary bodies even when the system did not.
The final anatomy chamber opened after the dry check.
Its floor was a copper disk three meters across. A low wall spiraled from the outside edge toward a center exit only thirty-six centimeters wide. The floor began rotating clockwise before Jiang entered.
Three black footholds moved with it.
One carried a four-degree forward lip. One curved backward beneath the toes. The third looked flat until the disk turned, then folded six millimeters into its socket.

[Human Form compatibility0]
A human body could step over the spiral wall. The chamber disallowed that route because the center turn narrowed below the width of adult human hips. Hands could grip the upper rim, but the resulting climb would prove neither emperor feet nor penguin geometry.
Jiang’s body could fit if he stayed low.
The Adverse Witness presented two social records beside the mechanical proof. One carried Black-Crown’s prior recognition of Jiang’s pressure-climbing feet. The other carried Split-Beak’s acceptance of his natural-passage defense.

Both records were real. Neither leader had observed this chamber, and neither recognition could place Jiang’s feet on the rotating floor.
Aylin read the distinction aloud. "Social recognition may remain true if the mechanical proof fails. Mechanical success grants neither rookery’s recognition."
"Good," Jiang said. "My feet can embarrass only me."
He entered when the four-degree foothold reached the outer gate.

Jiang placed his right foot on the forward lip. Emperor toes spread across the metal, and the natural claw angle caught beneath the four-degree rise without piercing it.
His left foot remained on the fixed entrance.
The disk carried his right side forward. Jiang waited until his hips aligned with the spiral opening, then shifted his breast over the moving foot and brought the left onto bare copper.
[ENTRY BALANCE]
[Emperor claw angle4deg]
[Right foothold valid1]
[Left structure grip0]
[Tail counterbalance1]
[Wall contact0]
The first false foothold approached from behind. Its backward curve invited his toes to settle into it. Under clockwise rotation, that curve would roll the foot outward and push his wake keel into the spiral wall.
Jiang tested it with one toe and withdrew before loading weight.

The floor carried him past it.
Jiang moved against the rotation with short steps. His body faced inward, beak near the spiral wall, while his tail extended toward the outer edge. Each time the floor carried his feet right, his tail moved left and kept the breast centered.
The first required turn waited where the spiral narrowed to fifty-two centimeters.
Jiang could not pivot around one planted human-style foot. His body was too long, and the rotating surface would sweep the tail into copper.
He lowered his breast until the oilcoat nearly touched the floor. Both feet stepped beneath him at once, toes facing outward. Jiang used their broad surfaces to resist the rotation while his tail traced a circle behind the hips.
His beak moved forty-three degrees inward.
The body followed without touching either wall.

[DIRECTION REVERSAL1/2]
[Counterclockwise6deg/s]
The valid foothold became dangerous when approached from the opposite direction. Its four-degree lip no longer held Jiang’s claw; it pushed beneath the toe and raised the foot.
Jiang left it unloaded.
The flat-looking third foothold reached his left side. He placed one toe on its edge. The plate sank six millimeters before his breast shifted.

The witness brightened both rookery records as if recognition could stabilize the plate.
Jiang stepped on bare copper.
The inner spiral forced turns two and three in quick succession. He used the left foot as a brake during the first, then changed to the right before the floor could rotate his wound toward the wall. His tail never supplied force against the structure. It moved through open air and changed the body’s balance.
[BODY TURNS3/5]
[Foot changes4]
[Tail structure contact0]
[Wake-keel clearance3.6cm]
[Wound contact0]
The center passage narrowed to thirty-six centimeters.
Jiang tucked both flippers and exhaled. His shoulders passed between the walls. His hips followed because the emperor body narrowed behind the breast instead of widening like Human Form.
The rotating floor continued beneath him. One foot began sliding toward the inner wall.
Jiang hooked the opposite foot beneath his center, not against a foothold, and used the natural forward claw angle to stop the slide. His body remained low enough that the tail could swing over the first foot.
[BODY TURN4/5]
[Minimum passage0.36m]

The second direction reversal began while his tail still crossed the entrance line.
[DIRECTION REVERSAL2/2]
[Clockwise9deg/s]
The floor accelerated by three degrees per second.
The center exit faced away from Jiang. To complete the fifth turn, he needed to rotate one hundred and twenty degrees inside a space shorter than his body.
Feather Mail appeared as an available reaction. It could stiffen the flank against accidental wall contact, then lock turning for nine seconds and guarantee failure.
Jiang left it dark.
He folded his feet forward until both rested beneath the breast. The pose resembled the beginning of a belly slide, but the dry copper offered no forward glide.
Jiang pushed with the right foot and braked with the left. His tail swept opposite the floor. The first motion turned his beak sixty-eight degrees. He changed the feet before the rotating surface could carry both in the same direction.
The second motion finished the turn.

The center exit opened beneath his beak.
Jiang stepped onto fixed stone with the right foot, then the left. He did not jump, climb, or let the disk throw him through.

[Subject control retained1]
The third false foothold had been the bare copper between the plates. Its polished section reduced claw purchase by forty percent whenever a subject trusted appearance instead of testing load. Jiang had crossed it only while both feet shared weight.
The chamber opened a fixed withdrawal strip beside the spiral. The proof did not require him to repeat the hazard after demonstrating that he could refuse it.
Jiang walked out under his own power.

Then five cost columns began filling from the bottom.
