The first conclusion waited behind the second glass plate.

Three evidence panels remained available beside it. Polar Warden’s measured load geometry occupied the first. The completed lift occupied the second. The permanent source-citation payment occupied the third.

The Unchosen Witness had touched none of them before answering.

"It thinks the price was the obstacle," she said.

That mattered because the witness’s error could not be blamed on emergency hunger. The catch had succeeded under sourced counts, separate roles, and ended duties. The system had removed citation from the one construct whose entire purpose was comparison.

Hessa wrote a counter-record on ordinary slate.

"Polar Warden geometry supplied measured strength," she read. "The system charged citation behavior. No evidence proves the charge caused, enabled, or improved the lift."

Miri signed only that the sentence matched the three visible panels. Nera signed after finishing the food count. Aylin and Jiang did not convert the slate into a route answer.

That selection was not random. The witness valued an achieved physical result over a rule that had not moved the bar. It treated the successful exchange as proof that the exchanged behavior had been expendable.

The philosophy could open doors.

It could also turn any demanded price into evidence that the price deserved to be paid.
