Chapter 1445: Chapter 1445: Aurelia, Leave This Family!

In the hotel room, Aurelia was sitting cross-legged on the bed, scrolling through food delivery apps on Viscount’s phone; her own phone had been specially set up by Mason Nightshade, so she couldn’t just use it freely.

After ordering two bowls of spicy hot pot, Aurelia opened an app again and bought a few sets of clothes and some daily necessities for Viscount.

He had actually come to M Nation without bringing anything at all.

While Viscount was eating the spicy hot pot, Aurelia told him about going back to the Parker Family; his face showed surprise. "Is it dangerous?"

That was the first thing he asked.

The frivolous look on his face disappeared; his eyes turned deep and serious as he fixed them steadily on Aurelia.

"Not sure, I never had any dealings with them before." Aurelia was referring to her previous life. Back then, she’d muddled through her days, never having a chance to stand under such dazzling lights like now. Naturally, the people of the Parker Family wouldn’t have noticed her, and even if they had, they wouldn’t have liked who she was in that past life.

"But... in my last life, I think someone from the Parker Family did come looking for me." Aurelia said thoughtfully.

Viscount’s movements as he ate paused.

Aurelia’s cheeks puffed as she kept stuffing food into her mouth. Her words came out muffled: "Back then I felt my mother’s family had nothing to do with me, so I refused to meet them. But thinking about it carefully now... Eleanor Spencer started going after me, secretly drugging me and getting me hooked on drugs, and it all seems to have started after the Parker Family came looking for me."

Viscount slammed his chopsticks down on the table. "Aurelia, leave that family! Whatever you want, I can give it to you too."

Aurelia let out a small laugh, her peach-blossom eyes curving into a sharp, cold arc. "I’ve only ever made others suffer; no one’s had what it takes to make me suffer. Besides, if it really was them who ruined me in my last life, of course I have to get it back from them."

Viscount didn’t even think before saying, "Then I’ll go to the Parker Family with you!"

Aurelia froze.

Viscount said, "Mason can’t stay by your side twenty-four seven to keep you safe. I happen to have nothing to do during this time, so I can stay at the Parker place with you."

Aurelia frowned, sinking into thought.

Viscount added, "Don’t bother turning me down. Even if you reject me, I won’t leave. One way is I stay openly by your side, the other is I protect you in secret. You pick one."

Aurelia sighed.

That wasn’t a choice at all; clearly, there was no choice.

But this worked too. With Viscount by her side, she’d have someone she could trust around her.

...

Aurelia had brought a man back, and while the Parker Family kept their faces impassive, in reality everyone had already heard the news.

Aurelia didn’t bother with what anyone else thought. The next day, Hudson Parker told the Parker butler to call Aurelia over.

The butler said, "Young Miss, the master means you may bring that guest of yours along as well."

Aurelia understood. "Got it, thank you, Butler. I’ll go see Grandpa with him in a bit."

The butler left, satisfied. Talking to smart people meant he didn’t have to waste words. He was growing more and more fond of this newly arrived young miss.

"Hey, what do you think the Parker patriarch wants with me? You don’t think he’s going to mistake me for your boyfriend, right?" Viscount asked nervously.

"He knows about my relationship with Mason." Aurelia replied calmly.

Viscount was stunned. He fell silent and didn’t say another word, his mood inexplicably sinking.

Aurelia didn’t notice and headed into Hudson Parker’s courtyard.

Hudson Parker’s sharp gaze swept over Viscount without betraying anything, then shifted to Aurelia. "The fact that you’re willing to bring a friend here means you see this as home. Don’t pay any mind to what those people outside are saying."
