Chapter 1393: Chapter 1393: Unwilling to Let Her Go
Later, he slapped the table and figured it out: before, whenever Mason served porridge for Aurelia, she never drank it and served herself instead! But today, Aurelia drank the porridge Mason served her!
There’s definitely something going on between these two.
Mason Nightshade’s private helicopter landed in the courtyard.
This was just a temporary residence, no baggage, they could leave immediately, and Mason was planning to change places anyway.
He found out that crazy Alaric Wood actually tracked them down.
He will never let that lunatic take Aurelia Shaw away again!
Since that lunatic likes searching, let him search everywhere.
He’s left a bunch of traps for him to fall into.
The brat’s too unruly; he has to teach him a lesson.
It just so happens that Aurelia wanted to go home, and Mason agreed.
Alaric probably wouldn’t expect that he took the little girl home, leaving an empty shell there for him to mess with.
The helicopter landed.
This is another residence of Mason Nightshade.
Before departing, Mason had arranged for Caspian Parker to set up a tight protective barrier here, not allowing even a fly to escape Mason’s eye.
Both hadn’t eaten much all evening, so they were hungry now.
A newly purchased villa, it was temporarily decorated, and no servants were arranged.
However, even if there were time, they wouldn’t do it.
Having familiar people around is more reassuring than hiring someone unknown from outside.
Mason went to the kitchen to cook.
He’s just a rough guy who doesn’t mind being hungry, but he cannot let his Aurelia starve.
Aurelia Shaw ate the wontons he cooked, her cheeks puffing up; they had shrimp inside, very tender and delicious.
Mason’s heart stirred slightly, he lowered his head and kissed her lips, a satisfied smile curling up at the corner of his mouth.
Aurelia’s brow furrowed slightly, feeling a bit annoyed.
After last night, it seemed their relationship had undergone some subtle changes.
She had worked hard to distance their relationship, but in one night it returned to its original state.
With a sigh, Aurelia gave up, just letting things flow naturally, treating this time as stolen, not thinking too much, especially during this recovery period.
Going upstairs, she took a shower, and then they rested.
Mason hugged Aurelia from behind, holding her tightly in his arms, his head pressed against the back of her neck, inhaling the faint fragrance she emitted, gaining a sense of peace.
Only by holding her does he feel at ease.
The next day, Mason drove Aurelia to Caspian Parker’s place, but before she got out, her waist suddenly tightened as Mason reeled her in, his nose nuzzling her cheek, planting a kiss on her chin, reluctant:
"Should I accompany you?"
"No way!" They would engage in a brawl as soon as Mason met Caspian, and with his brother definitely troubled by something, Mason would only contribute to the chaos if he went.
Aurelia sighed helplessly, stroking his furry head, "Be good."
Mason nipped at her chin, not daring to use force, "Getting bolder, are we? Dare to treat me like a pet?"
"When have I not been bold?" Aurelia retorted, raising her eyebrows.
Her bright peach blossom eyes were lively and flamboyant, captivating Mason’s heart, a surge of joy welling up within, tempted beyond restraint, leaning down to kiss her tender lips again.
He liked her like this, didn’t like her distancing herself, putting on a deliberately cold face, her demeanor heavy with no vitality.
He’s not afraid of her being bold, not afraid of her acting up, not even afraid of her causing trouble, just afraid that she’s bottling things up, making him worry.
"Go on." Mason eventually released her.
Only before Aurelia went inside did he once more embrace her waist, giving her a lingering and affectionate kiss.
