Chapter 1328: Chapter 1328: Torment?

"Who told you to touch her?" Mason Nightshade’s voice was cold enough to kill.

The guard shivered, his legs instantly weak, "She just wouldn’t see anyone, I had no other choice but to do this. Please spare me, Master Nightshade."

At this moment, Aurelia Shaw woke up.

Mason Nightshade’s heart tightened, quickly holding her tightly in his arms, "Aurelia, are you awake? I’m sorry, I didn’t know they would treat you like this."

Aurelia Shaw’s lips curled into a cold smile, "This is good, isn’t it? I’m a prisoner, did they do wrong? Master Nightshade, didn’t you say you wanted to interrogate? Go ahead, what will you interrogate me for? For wanting a divorce? Haven’t you already known the reasons? You’ve received the court summons, right?"

Mason Nightshade’s fingers clenched into a fist, his heart aching with sharp pain.

"Aurelia, withdraw the divorce complaint, please, just listen, alright?"

Once it goes to court, the power there is beyond his control.

"I can promise you anything you want, please don’t cause trouble, alright? I’ve found clues, I can get you out soon, just hold on a little longer. I know you’re spoiled by me usually and can’t endure this hardship, just for these few days, okay? Darling, I promise you, just these few days, okay?"

Aurelia Shaw looked away, "My decision won’t change. You can torture me by other means, but I will absolutely not change my decision."

Blood-red burst forth in Mason Nightshade’s eyes.

"Torture? What does that mean? Do you think I’d use such methods to make you compromise? Or have you already thought of me this way?"

"Does it matter?" Aurelia Shaw’s lips curled into a cold smile, "I was already a bad woman, the innocent Aurelia Shaw you liked is already dead. If you like this bad woman, you have to accept her wickedness."

Aurelia Shaw closed her eyes.

As if she didn’t want to look at him for another moment.

"Next time you come, I still won’t see you. You can have them bring me like this again."

Mason Nightshade grabbed her chin and kissed her.

His teeth bit into her tongue tip, the taste of blood spread between their lips.

"You are so cruel."

Aurelia Shaw said nothing.

Mason Nightshade lifted Aurelia Shaw, carried her back to her cell, and gently set her down, affectionately kissing her forehead, "I’ll have someone come look at you soon, get some rest first."

"I’ll only let Junia Simpson check."

Mason Nightshade paused in his actions.

Aurelia Shaw opened her eyes, "What? Can’t bear it? If we were together, we’d face situations like this every day."

"Alright."

Aurelia Shaw moved her lips, her throat choked up but in the end said nothing and closed her eyes.

"I’m leaving now."

Mason Nightshade waited a little while, but Aurelia Shaw didn’t respond. He sighed almost inaudibly and, like usual, kissed her fingers.

At the door, Mason Nightshade looked back, his gaze falling on Vespera Bennett.

Vespera Bennett stood with her back to Mason Nightshade, her head lowered, her face hidden.

Mason Nightshade stared at her for a moment, then left.

"Boss, why was that person staring at you? Do you know them?" the youngest asked.

"Don’t know." Vespera Bennett replied without a thought.

Aurelia Shaw glanced in Vespera Bennett’s direction.

Aurelia Shaw initially thought Mason Nightshade agreed with her just to pacify her, and even if it wasn’t to pacify, Junia Simpson couldn’t possibly come.

But she guessed wrong.

Aurelia Shaw looked at Junia Simpson standing before her, still indifferent, uncaring about anything, quietly watching her. There was no hatred inside, but Aurelia felt the chill.

"I’m fine, no need to check."
