Chapter 91: Chapter 91 Final warning.

Noah kept rolling around the bed, his consciousness drifting to another place entirely. It was the same realm he had found himself in when he, Killian, and Eugene had been trapped underneath the school, leading them to that mysterious world. But this time, things were different. The door before him wasn’t the same one—this one gleamed golden and bright, shimmering like a real-life jewel, radiating an almost divine light.

He looked down at himself and noticed he was wearing a flowing purple robe, his hair left loose and cascading around his shoulders like a silken curtain. His silver eyes gleamed with an otherworldly light as they reflected the luminous path ahead. Around him, butterflies and birds fluttered gracefully, their movements almost choreographed, as if guiding him somewhere.

But before he could take more steps, a hand gripped his wrist so tightly that pain shot through his arm. "Shit, that hurts! Reduce the intensity!" he cried out, trying to pull away.

The figure holding him refused to loosen their grip. The person turned around, their cloak swirling, and Noah found himself staring at someone with purple hair just like his own, silver eyes that mirrored his, but a face that was entirely foreign. The resemblance was uncanny, and yet there was something deeply unsettling about it.

"I’ve seen you before," Noah said, his voice trembling. "Who are you? And why am I here?"

He touched himself, trying to ground his senses. Wasn’t he right in his home, sleeping? How was he standing here in this strange place?

"I should ask you the same thing," the figure replied, his voice urgent and sharp. "Do you want to get yourself killed? Can’t you see that you’re the last one to come for years? In the next few years, there won’t be any purebloods around, and the world will be engulfed in evil. We can’t let that happen."

Noah was even more confused now. Wasn’t this person the same as him—a pureblood, given the qualities he was seeing? So why was he speaking as if there was no one else left?

"Wait, wait, just stop right there," Noah interrupted, holding up his hands. "I don’t think you’re getting me. Why are you saying this? Aren’t you supposed to be a pureblood too?"

The guy frowned, his delicate features contorting with frustration. He was beautiful, stunning and fragile, like a living flower that could wither at any moment. "Why aren’t you understanding? This school will consume you. We were all killed, and our souls are trapped right here. I sacrificed my last essence so he couldn’t get his hands on how to kill a pureblood. But soon, he will find another way. That’s why I need you to leave that school—now—with your mates. Especially now that the devil son is sticking around."

The warning was dangerous, a looming crisis that made Noah’s blood run cold. Of course, it wasn’t that he didn’t want to leave, but in a world he didn’t know, where exactly was he supposed to go? And who exactly was this person?

"Stop going around in circles!" Noah demanded, his voice rising with frustration. "Why can’t any of you just say your words straight? Stop confusing me! My brain feels like it’s going to fry. Who is this man? I should know him—definitely."

It was his right to know. If he was truly being hunted, he needed to understand what was hunting him.

"This is a being that can summon your consciousness," the figure explained, his voice dropping to a whisper. "And now I think he is the reason you’re here."

Okay, fucking hell, that was enough. The details were still going in circles, and Noah was losing patience. But before he could protest further, the guy looked around anxiously. The leaves began to wither, the grass turning black and brittle. The wind grew more violent, howling and brewing into a tempest. Above them, the beautiful birds were replaced by crows and ravens, circling ominously overhead, their harsh cries piercing the air.

The person grabbed Noah and pulled him closer, holding his face with trembling hands. "Trust your instincts, Noah Evernight. I know you will do the right thing. Leave this school—don’t waste what I sacrificed. Soon, all the memories will come back to you. Everything will be revealed at the right time. So don’t fear, my dear. You’re going to be the last one for a long time—the hope of mankind. Carry your mates and run. Another thing—the emperor don’t—"

Before he could finish, Noah was pushed out violently, his consciousness ripped away from the vision. But just before he was expelled, he caught a fleeting image of a boot marching into the space—a very designed piece, peculiar and distinct, unmistakably belonging to someone powerful.

Noah screamed as he jerked upright in bed, his body drenched in cold sweat. His heart pounded wildly against his ribs as he looked around the room. He was alone. Completely alone.

"Fuck, what have I done?" he muttered, panic rising in his chest. Did he give himself to the alphas, only for them to leave him alone? What a cruel, cold thing to do. The betrayal stung deeply, making him feel used and discarded.

He was about to lash out, to scream his frustration into the empty room, when footsteps rushed toward the door. It flew open, and two males stood before him, their eyes scanning the room frantically, ready to fight whatever threat had disturbed him.

"Who is it?" Killian demanded, his voice fierce. "What happened? Tell me, let me get rid of them."

Both alphas entered battle mode, their bodies coiled and ready to crush any enemies. But when they saw Noah’s tear-streaked face, their expressions softened instantly.

"I thought you guys had sex with me and just dumped me here and left," Noah sobbed, his voice breaking. "I was terrified and scared. I gave myself to you, and—"

Killian rushed forward, pulling Noah into a deep, fierce embrace. "Oh, my adorable kitten," he murmured, stroking his hair. "I am so sorry. We were both arguing over breakfast to bring for you. We wanted to give you a good breakfast in bed. Please don’t be angry."

Noah’s head was pressed against Killian’s chest, his sobs muffled by the warmth of his body. Damian came closer, taking Noah’s hands and rubbing them soothingly.

"Didn’t I tell you we aren’t leaving?" Damian said softly. "This might be my first real commitment, but I love you with all my life."

Without warning, Damian scooped Noah up in a bridal style, cradling him gently. Noah winced, his butt aching terribly. "My ass is hurting," he complained, unable to sit properly. "I don’t know what to do."

"Sorry you’re uncomfortable," Damian said, his voice filled with genuine regret. "I’ll make sure the pressure is eased."

He carried Noah to a table and settled him on his own lap, supporting him carefully. "Now," Damian said, his tone light and affectionate, "what do you want to eat?"
