Chapter 108: Chapter 108 Screwed!!

Eugene’s hands tightened into fists.

He was about to say something, but Lysander continued speaking before he could get a single word out.

The demon seemed to have no intention of stopping.

He spoke for what felt like an eternity, completely unbothered by the furious expressions of the Moonlight Alphas. Every word only made their tempers worse, especially when he casually talked about marking Noah right in front of them.

They had already been pushed to their limits.

And now this demon was standing there as though their opinions didn’t matter.

"You all shouldn’t look at me like that," Lysander finally said, almost amused by their anger. "We’re all doing the ceremony, aren’t we? I’m not going to leave any of you out."

His eyes swept over the four alphas.

"I won’t succeed if I try to take Noah away from all of you anyway. So it’s better that we go together."

That statement somehow made things worse.

The Moonlight Alphas exchanged looks.

They didn’t like the idea of sharing Noah with a demon.

Not even slightly.

But before anyone could respond, Lysander finally released his hold on Damon.

The dark magic around the emperor’s throat disappeared.

Damon immediately staggered backward, coughing violently as he clutched his neck.

Irene shot out of her seat.

Her partner followed close behind as she rushed toward the emperor and stopped beside him.

"Do something, brother!"

Her voice was filled with anger.

"You can’t let him disrespect you like that! This is completely uncalled for!"

She turned sharply toward Noah.

"And you!"

Noah blinked.

Irene pointed at him.

"Isn’t he your father? He’s being attacked by this demon who wants to become your mate, and you’re just standing there doing nothing?"

Noah opened his mouth.

He didn’t even know what answer she expected from him.

Before he could say anything, Lysander stepped forward.

"Don’t you dare raise your voice at my bride."

The atmosphere instantly became colder.

Lysander’s eyes narrowed.

"Do you understand me?"

His gaze shifted toward Damon.

"So, Damon."

The emperor’s name left his mouth with deliberate disrespect.

"Hand over the sword."

A collective gasp moved through the assembly.

Calling the emperor by his name so casually was already an insult.

But Lysander didn’t seem to care.

Damon was still recovering from the strange magic that had nearly crushed his throat.

He stared at Lysander with disbelief.

That power wasn’t like anything he had encountered before.

The essence was different.

Foreign.

Ancient.

It didn’t behave like ordinary demonic magic.

Damon’s breathing remained heavy.

"You are..."

He couldn’t finish.

Lysander’s eyes suddenly burned brighter.

At the same time, something strange happened.

The Heavenly Sword in Damon’s hand began to tremble.

The emperor looked down.

His fingers tightened around the hilt.

But the sword continued moving.

Slowly, it began to rise from his hand.

"No."

Damon’s eyes widened.

The weapon slipped completely from his grasp.

It floated into the air.

Then it turned.

The blade pointed directly toward Noah.

The sword began moving toward him.

It wasn’t attacking.

It was being pulled.

Like a magnet had suddenly awakened inside Noah’s body.

Damian, who had been watching nervously, immediately noticed.

He rushed forward.

"Ashton, move!"

Noah didn’t react.

"That sword is going to attack you!"

Eugene’s eyes widened.

Killian immediately turned.

Marcus followed.

The four Moonlight Alphas rushed toward Noah at once, surrounding him from every direction.

None of them cared about the emperor.

None of them cared about the sword.

Their only concern was Noah.

They weren’t going to leave him exposed.

Lysander watched them rush toward Noah.

He didn’t attack.

He didn’t stop them.

Instead, a strange grin appeared on his face.

He simply watched.

Noah, meanwhile, couldn’t understand how everything had become this chaotic.

Weren’t they supposed to be preparing for an important tradition?

A ceremony.

A formal royal gathering.

And now the emperor had been attacked by Lysander, the Heavenly Sword was floating through the air, and the Moonlight Alphas were surrounding him like human shields.

It was madness.

But the moment Noah looked at the approaching sword, everything else seemed to disappear.

His breathing slowed.

His eyes locked onto the blade.

The sword was beautiful.

Terrifying.

And strangely familiar.

He didn’t know why.

Something inside him was calling to it.

Noah took one step forward.

The sword moved closer.

Another step.

It followed.

His hands slowly lifted.

Lysander watched him carefully.

"It’s not going to attack him, you idiots."

The alphas glanced toward him.

"That sword is returning to its owner."

Lysander’s eyes narrowed.

"I don’t know how the emperor managed to keep a weapon that powerful in his possession when it shouldn’t be handled by anyone who isn’t pureblood."

His gaze shifted toward Damon.

"Isn’t that suspicious?"

The Moonlight Alphas fell silent.

They looked at one another.

He had a point.

Why was Damon wielding a weapon that was supposedly meant for Noah?

Why had the sword reacted to Noah in the first place?

And why did it seem to recognize him?

The questions came one after another.

Yet none of them moved away from Noah.

They continued surrounding him like a shield.

Noah barely noticed.

The closer the sword came, the stronger the strange pull became.

It felt like something was calling his name.

He reached toward it.

Damon’s face immediately changed.

"He is not supposed to get that sword!"

His voice thundered across the assembly.

"Are you people not understanding anything I’ve said?"

He shoved Irene aside in frustration.

She stumbled backward, but her partner immediately caught her around the waist before she could hit the ground.

Irene looked shocked.

"Damon!"

"Why shouldn’t he get the sword?"

Killian stepped forward.

His voice was challenging.

"Explain that."

He prepared himself for a confrontation.

But before Damon could answer, Lysander moved.

The demon’s expression darkened.

"You useless alpha."

Killian froze.

"How dare you use that tone when speaking to him?"

Lysander stepped forward.

But before Killian could respond, Lysander lifted one hand.

His fingers curled slightly.

The next second, flames erupted across Damon’s chest.

The emperor staggered.

His eyes widened as the heat spread through his body.

Lysander’s voice remained calm.

"You want your heart to explode?"

Damon’s expression twisted.

"I know you’ve prolonged your life."

Lysander’s eyes glowed.

"But if your heart is destroyed, you’re still going to die."

He tilted his head.

"So don’t piss me off."

The flames intensified.

"Get in line."

Damon coughed.

Blood spilled from his mouth and stained his golden armor.

Irene gasped.

"Brother!"

But Lysander didn’t even look at her.

His attention returned to Noah.

The Heavenly Sword had moved even closer.

The Moonlight Alphas struggled against its overwhelming heat.

It wasn’t ordinary fire.

The flames didn’t simply burn skin.

They seemed to reach deeper.

Straight toward the soul.

The temperature continued rising until even the strongest among them had to shield their faces.

Noah remained strangely unaffected.

He continued walking toward it.

One step.

Then another.

The sword hovered directly before him.

Noah lifted his hand.

His fingers were only inches away.

Then—

A sudden blast tore through the air.

Noah’s eyes widened.

Before the blue flame could reach him, Marcus appeared directly in front of him.

The attack slammed into Marcus’s body.

"Marcus!"

He was thrown backward.

His body crashed against one of the pillars with enough force to shake it before he collapsed onto the ground.

"Fuck!"

The trance broke.

Noah immediately turned.

Marcus groaned in pain.

Killian spun around.

His eyes widened.

Then he saw her.

Rose.

"What in the world is she doing?"

Rose stood among the crowd.

Her expression was completely different.

There was something dark behind her eyes.

But she wasn’t finished.

The moment Killian spoke, whispers began spreading through the assembly.

At first, they were barely audible.

Then they grew louder.

Voices.

Hundreds of them.

Whispering.

Chanting.

The sound came from everywhere.

No one could identify where it was coming from.

A heavy pressure suddenly crashed into the Moonlight Alphas.

Eugene grabbed his head.

"Fuck!"

He stumbled.

Pain exploded inside his skull.

Killian dropped to one knee.

Damian clutched his head as well.

Blood began running from their noses.

Marcus, still struggling against the pillar, groaned.

The whispers became louder.

It felt like thousands of voices were speaking directly into their minds.

Eugene screamed.

"My ears!"

He staggered across the floor.

"It feels like my eardrums are going to fucking burst!"

Damian collapsed.

His entire body trembled.

"I can’t breathe!"

He clawed at his throat.

"I can’t—"

Noah’s expression changed.

He immediately grabbed the Heavenly Sword.

The moment his fingers wrapped around the hilt, the weapon stopped burning.

The flames calmed.

Noah turned toward Rose.

So she was behind this.

But then something clicked.

He looked closer.

Rose wasn’t chanting.

Her lips weren’t moving.

Her body was simply standing there while something else worked through her.

Noah’s eyes narrowed.

"It’s not her."

Eugene looked up through the pain.

"What?"

"It’s not Rose."

Noah’s grip tightened around the sword.

"Something else is casting that spell."

The emperor was suffering too.

Damon was on one knee, struggling to breathe while Irene and her partner tried to steady him.

The same pressure that was tormenting the Moonlight Alphas was affecting them.

Even the students were beginning to panic.

But Lysander?

He stood completely unaffected.

He simply watched.

And smiled.

A sinister grin spread across his face.

"Good job, witch."

His voice carried through the chaos.

"I see what you’re doing."

His eyes shifted toward Noah.

"But you just tried to hurt my bride."

His smile disappeared.

"You can have the emperor."

He glanced toward the suffering people around them.

"You can have the others."

His gaze became cold.

"But him?"

Lysander pointed toward Noah.

"He’s an exception."

Noah’s patience finally snapped.

He shoved Lysander aside.

"Don’t touch them."

The demon looked at him in surprise.

Noah raised the sword.

His eyes burned with anger.

"Unless you want me to kill Rose just to end you."

A strange laugh suddenly came from Rose.

It wasn’t her voice.

The sound was deep and mocking.

Rose took another step forward.

"You kill Rose?"

The voice laughed again.

"We both know you can’t do shit."

Noah’s jaw tightened.

"You’re weak."

Another step.

"Nothing useful can come from you."

The voice became crueler.

"So get the fuck—"

A burst of fire suddenly slammed into Rose.

She screamed.

The flame spread across her body.

"AAARRRGHH!"

Rose stumbled backward, frantically trying to put herself out.

"You scum!"

She screamed.

"I will get you!"

The fire only burned brighter.

Lamia stood with one hand extended.

His eyes were blazing.

"Try it."

The flames around Rose intensified.

"This is Phoenix Flame."

Lamia’s voice was cold.

"And you’re not getting rid of it."

Rose screamed again.

The Phoenix fire was different from ordinary flames.

It didn’t simply burn flesh.

It clung to the supernatural essence inside the target.

Only a pureblood or the witch who had cast the flames could remove them.

And whoever was controlling Rose had neither.

Which meant—

She was screwed.
