Chapter 1041 Losing Patience
Chapter 1041 Losing Patience
(Twenty Minutes Later, Mauriss’s POV, Planet Helion-6)
Twenty minutes later, Mauriss finally lost the last fragments of his patience, as floating high above the planet’s atmosphere he had already spent far longer than he usually tolerated simply watching and waiting.
“That’s it,” he muttered under his breath, as the faint amusement that had lingered on his face until now finally began to fade.
“If you people plan on sitting there forever… then I suppose I’ll just have to help move things along.”
He muttered, as slowly, he began descending toward the planet, his body cutting silently through the upper atmosphere as the winds parted around him while the distant plains of Helion-6 rapidly grew clearer beneath his gaze.
The soldiers stationed across the rocky plains did not notice him immediately.
But the sky above them did.
Mauriss raised a single finger toward the heavens, power beginning to gather around it while the atmosphere itself seemed to respond to his will, thin streaks of dark clouds forming across the sky before
multiplying rapidly as divine energy surged upward toward his raised finger.
At first the change was subtle.
But within seconds the entire sky began transforming, massive thunderclouds gathered across the horizon while lightning flickered through their swelling bodies as if the heavens themselves had begun boiling with energy.
The air grew heavy.
The winds began to howl.
And the soldiers below finally began to notice.
Thousands of heads turned upward as shouts quickly spread through the encampment, Commanders yelling orders while warriors
scrambled to prepare defensive formations as the unnatural storm continued thickening above them.
Mauriss watched it all calmly while maintaining his raised finger, his expression returning to one of quiet curiosity as the clouds grew darker and heavier while divine lightning began crackling across the sky.
This was one of his most devastating techniques.
[Destructive Rainfall].
A move capable of drowning entire continents beneath a single catastrophic storm.
And yet even as the heavens above Helion-6 continued gathering power, the tent below remained completely still.
Mauriss frowned slightly as he waited.
The clouds thickened further while lightning began striking the plains around the encampment, soldiers scattering in panic while
Transcendent warriors attempted to raise defensive barriers against the coming storm.
Still…
No one emerged from the tent.
Mauriss’s eyebrow twitched as his patience began thinning.
“…Really?” he muttered.
He waited another moment, his leg bouncing restlessly through the air while his fingers drummed against his arm as the storm above continued growing more violent with every passing second.
Below him the battlefield had already descended into chaos.
Yet the six divine auras inside the tent had not moved.
Mauriss’s expression slowly darkened.
“That’s disappointing,” he said quietly.
For several seconds he simply stared down at the encampment beneath him as the storm swirled violently around his body, lightning flashing across the sky while thunder rolled endlessly across the plains.
Then finally his raised finger slowly curled inward.
Forming a fist.
“Alright then,” Mauriss said calmly.
“If you won’t come out to play… then I’ll just have to force you out.”
He muttered, before slamming the fist downward as the heavens. finally broke, and an ocean fell from the sky.
*SPLASH*
*SKADOOSH*
The storm clouds above Helion-6 erupted instantly as a catastrophic torrent of divine rain crashed toward the continent below, the sheer weight of the falling water striking the planet like a collapsing sea while thunder roared across the atmosphere.
The impact was immediate.
The plains beneath Mauriss flattened as the first wave of Destructive Rainfall struck the ground, mountains cracking apart while forests vanished beneath the overwhelming volume as entire formations of soldiers were crushed into the earth before they even had time to
scream.
The planet itself trembled.
A violent earthquake rippled across the surface while the torrential rain continued pouring downward without mercy, the battlefield transforming into a catastrophic flood zone as the organized encampment of the Righteous Faction vanished beneath the
overwhelming force of the storm.
Millions of soldiers died instantly.
Fortifications collapsed.
Defensive barriers shattered like glass while the continent itself
seemed to sink beneath the weight of the divine rainfall.
From high above, Mauriss watched the devastation with quiet curiosity as the land below was flattened, drowned beneath the endless torrent pouring from the sky.
And yet…
Through all of it…
One structure remained untouched.
At the very center of the destroyed encampment, the reinforced tent stood exactly where it had been before, completely unharmed as the protective charms surrounding it glowed faintly while the destructive power of Mauriss’s attack split harmlessly around the barrier.
The water diverted.
The lightning bent away.
The storm itself parted as if striking an invisible wall.
Mauriss blinked slowly as he observed the scene.
Then his lips slowly curled upward once more.
“Well now…”
He murmured softly.
“…that’s interesting.”
Because despite the destruction of the entire continent around
them…
The six Gods inside the tent still had not come out.
Which made this whole situation that much more interesting for
Mauriss.
Meanwhile, inside the tent, several pairs of eyes slowly met across the circular table as faint smiles began appearing on their faces one after
another.
They had all felt it.
Mauriss was here.
Even through the layers of protective charms surrounding the structure, the violent disturbance in the heavens above Helion-6 had been impossible to miss, the destructive storm gathering outside acting as confirmation that the Deceiver had finally taken the bait.
For a brief moment, quiet satisfaction passed between them.
Their plan had worked.
Du Trask’s lips curled slightly as he glanced toward Mu Shen, while
Ru Vassa leaned back faintly in her chair as though amused by the
situation unfolding outside.
Then their attention shifted.
All eyes turned toward Kaelith.
The Eternal Sovereign remained seated at the head of the table, his
expression calm and composed as he slowly raised a single finger. “Wait,” Kaelith said quietly.
The others immediately fell still.
For a moment, Kaelith simply watched the tent entrance as though
measuring something unseen beyond it.
Then-
*Snap*
The sound of his fingers snapping echoed softly within the chamber,
as at that exact moment, something strange happened.
The divine auras filling the tent vanished, all at once. Mu Shen’s presence disappeared, Yu Kiro’s overwhelming pressure
faded, while Du Trask, Ru Vassa, and Lu Han all seemed to vanish
from existence.
Even Kaelith’s own terrifying aura was gone.
To an observer outside the tent, the result would be unmistakable.
It would appear as though the six Gods inside had simply
disappeared.
As if the tent had suddenly become empty.
However, the truth was very different.
They had not left.
They were still there. Still seated inside the tent.
Still waiting. And that exactly…
Was the trap.
