Chapter 1545: Chapter 496: Facing the Four Emperors (Part 2)

The violent repairman never imagined that the terrifying wrench strike, capable of breaking through armor, would get repelled back onto himself by a mysterious force.

It wasn’t over yet; at that moment, he realized that Wen Xishu could instantly unleash a second powerful kick.

That seemingly exhausted move was just a feint, luring him to attack.

A full-power Ultimate Kick, once again targeted at the repairman’s head.

The repairman’s machine body slammed hard against the red crystal wall, then stopped moving.

He didn’t die, nor did Lu Yi, Shi Liu, or even the bisected Broken String, but none dared to fight again.

Finally, the host announced:

"Let us congratulate the Shadow Warrior for the victory! And let us also express our gratitude to the Shadow Warrior; it truly was an exciting match! His performance was outstanding!"

The battle ended with cheers from the audience.

Wen Xishu accomplished a one-on-many duel.

Old Yan might have considered the possibility of Wen Xishu winning, but he never expected him to win like this.

Up until now, Wen Xishu seemed to have never used any external device weapon.

This fact also astonished those on the audience stand, including the Daedalus.

He had prepared powerful firepower devices for Wen Xishu, but it seemed Wen Xishu only needed the strength of a human to finish the battle.

The terrifying kicks and the impact power already exceeded many weapons.

Such a monster actually would become part of the Mechanical Race.

He increasingly believed this person came with a mission.

...

...

Approaching the rest area workshop, Wen Xishu was suddenly stopped.

He was told a guest wanted to meet him in the VIP area.

Wen Xishu still wore his cloak.

He planned on patiently waiting for the next match, which might involve fighting ten, or maybe twenty people, it didn’t matter.

What he wanted was to win the championship quickly and attract the attention of the Four Emperors Zeroer with Divine Dawn transportation rights.

Getting close to the Zeroer, using all means, to acquire the secrets of the Mechanical God and the Divine Dawn, including but not limited to — killing the Zeroer.

However, his plan was interrupted by this suddenly appearing mysterious person.

The VIP room was also located in the workshop, though it’s not like the resting area where various abilities could be shielded. This workshop had no shielding devices.

The VIP room was much more luxurious in its setup, with seats turned into leather sofas.

The transparent coffee table was laden with various expensive energy agents.

And sitting on the sofa was a guy dressed in a printed shirt, resembling one of those 90’s old Hong Kong hooligans.

He had a cigar in his mouth, a ridiculously thick gold chain around his neck, and a dragon-headed cane in hand, exuding a formidable presence.

His appearance was almost indistinguishable from a human, but intentionally left on his forehead was a strange, fluorescent pattern resembling an integrated circuit design.

"Sit down, kid, I just watched your match."

"Impressive skills, your abilities are phenomenal. You should know, I rarely watch the fights of those below because the script is already written; who loses, who wins, I’ve arranged it all."

"But I’ve never encountered such an arrogant character like you, kid, you’re quite bold, daring to challenge my men, even taking on three at once! Hahaha!"

Beside this cigar man was his old butler, who surprisingly had a resemblance to Jabbar, or rather, shared a similar gentleman’s demeanor with Jabbar, but with a bit more ruthlessness.

The butler handed Wen Xishu a business card.

Wen Xishu didn’t even need to look; he knew who the owner of this card was.

Without a doubt, the cigar man in front of him was the illustrious one of the four Emperor Level entities — Materialist Mammon, the one with the greatest authority in Mechanical City.

The guy almost controlled all wealth in Mechanical City and could define what wealth meant.

His ability, according to the intelligence provided by Old Yan, was related to his own financial strength.

He belonged to the category where the stronger the financial power, the thicker the health bar.

In Mechanical City, he was the most powerful both in terms of visible forces and individual combat power.

"Are you recruiting me?" Wen Xishu took the card and said with calm confidence.

Mammon flaunted his wealth:

"Of course, name your price and follow me."

Wen Xishu remained calm:

"Aren’t you going to ask who I’m with?"

Mammon glanced at his butler, seeming to have heard a joke and wanting someone to laugh with:

"Hahaha, I don’t give a damn who you’re with."

"When it comes to big matters, three things count: First, money; second, money; third, still fucking money."

"People do nothing but strive for a living; don’t talk to me about ideals, if I can’t buy your ideals, it’s only because I don’t have enough money."

"Zeroer? Timekeeper? Weaver? Following them is no future. You’re in the underground fights, surely not just to be with some poor loser boss, right?"

"Don’t mind the fact that they’re Four Emperors, but in Mechanical City, money is everything. With me, you can be champion right now."

Unexpectedly, Wen Xishu agreed strongly with Mammon’s words.

Assuming the Four Emperors are cadres of the same level. But same level, the content of authority and the power value realization might not be the same.

Since ancient times, the strongest in control of money and troops; more often, those in control of money also control troops.

"Zeroer does have some champions under him, but don’t forget, it’s all raised up by me."

"Kid, do you want to follow me, a simple word. I don’t like people who act hesitantly."
