Chapter 298: 298: Girls Vs Boys

Sunnie was sleeping peacefully in her room. She was catching up on some rest after she had spent the last few days working hard on the farm.

Farm season was still on. They had worked hard towards the work and had planted all the required crops.

Sunnie was still in bed when she felt someone waking her up. "Mama, mama."

She slowly opened her eyes as she turned to see Luna and Sun sitting down close to her.

"Huh? What’s wrong?" She asked, confused.

Luna said, "Mama, the boys are annoying, so we formed a team for ourselves. We formed a girls-only team. So we need you to come and join us."

"...." Sunnie lay there staring at them. She had no words. She guessed they had had another fight. This time, they had separated themselves—boys versus girls.

She smiled as she said, "Sorry, dear, I’m having a mild headache. I can’t play with you now." She excused.

The two girls stared at each other with a sigh. "I knew Mama wouldn’t join us. Let’s go and ask Papa," Sun insisted as Luna nodded.

Immediately, they ran off to look for someone else. Sunnie lay back in bed, closing her eyes while she went back to sleep, smiling and shaking her head.

Kids and their shenanigans. She wondered what they were up to now.

The boys and girls weren’t on speaking terms in the tribe. They were bickering, so they decided to play on their own and see who plays best.

Ronan was the leader of the boys, even if he didn’t want to be. So Ronan and his group of male beastmen had gone to their space to play.

Luna and Sun sat down at a distance, watching them play with the wooden ball. They shook their heads as Luna said, "They’re no fun at all. Lune is no fun."

She said as she turned to Sun. "The boys have recruited people faster. Let’s go."

And so they went to Maren and Mii and insisted they join. The two were busy with work and didn’t want to play, but Sun had fallen down and started crying.

"Okay, okay... we will join the girls’ team," Mii said as Sun got up with a smile.

"Yay!" Sun smiled.

And so they gathered enough female girls in the tribe—young females whom they could play with.

They had even gone to recruit Zayn into their tribe.

"Join us, Papa!" Sun insisted.

Zayn sat there with the other beast husbands. "Me? Join? But I’m not a girl..."

"Papa, join us now! Mama doesn’t want to!" Sun said, pulling him by the hand without listening to his excuses at all.

Eris and Luka laughed behind the scene. "You should join them. Your little one is demanding you do."

"And you too! Join us!" Luna approached Eris and pulled him by the hand. "Join us now!" She insisted. Eris’s smile instantly disappeared.

Karl and Azure sat there, laughing at them with Luka.

The two kids bothered them long enough until they could do anything.

"Okay, okay... we’ll join your team," Zayn said.

Eris forced a smile. "Of course I’ll support my little girl."

Luna nodded. "Yes! So let’s go."

It wasn’t only for a day. The bickering between the two groups had gone on for days. Eris and Zayn were forced into the kids’ world.

They joined the females in their games, sitting around in a circle while playing with the flowers they had spent hours picking around in the woods.

Eris and Zayn had to pick flowers too, else Luna would scold them for not playing along.

They ended up picking a lot of flowers in the long hours and then sat down with the other girls, picking out the flowers and playing with them.

Eris and Zayn sat down close to each other and stared at each other from time to time, speechless. They couldn’t believe they were here for their little ones.

"Papa, here," Sun smiled as she got up to her feet with the flowers she got. She came to Zayn’s hair and placed the flower at the side.

"You too," Sun turned to Eris and also placed the flower at the corner of his hair.

After placing it, she stared at them for a while and smiled. "Pretty." She smiled proudly as she turned and went back to take her seat again.

Mii and Maren stared at Eris and Zayn with their flowers and couldn’t hide their laughter.

"What? Why laughing? I think it’s pretty on me," Eris insisted, playing with the flower in his hair.

Maren nodded with a smile as she said, "Yes, I agree indeed. Pretty for sure."

Mii nodded too with a smile.

That evening, the little girls still didn’t let Eris and Zayn catch a break at all.

While others were sitting around the fire and having their dinner, Luna had insisted they sit apart from everyone. She insisted they stay further away from the boys.

So they sat alone in their own circle and ate. While they ate, they decided they’d sing and dance to make themselves better than the boys.

The boys didn’t sit in a group. In the evening, everyone had gone back to their homes and ate with their family in their own fire camp circle.

So as the girls sat together, singing, dancing, and eating in a celebratory manner, everyone stared at them.

"Why does the girls’ side look so fun?" Kan asked, tilting his head.

Ronan and the other boys around cast him a cold glare.

"What? I’m just saying..."

Ronan sighed. "Ours is still better. Tomorrow we continue."

Sunnie smiled as she shook her head. "You guys aren’t tired of bickering? It’s already been days, though."

Lune shook his head. "The girls started it."

Sunnie sighed. "I guess I can’t speak with you guys on it."

They turned and watched as the girls pulled Zayn and Eris up, forcing them to dance while everyone clapped and sang for them.

Zayn and Eris were pretty much shy and didn’t wish to do so, but Sun had insisted they do so. And the two started dancing hilariously.

Mii and Maren couldn’t help but laugh while they watched the scene.

Luka shook his head as he said, "Poor them. I think the kids are bullying them at this point."

Azure smiled as he nodded. "True indeed."

Sunnie smiled as she said, "Come to think of it, the female space looks fun and bustling with activities. I might actually consider joining them."

Little Black at the side nodded. "True, true. They look really fun."

Immediately, Kan didn’t even hesitate. He had instantly spread his wings and took off into the air, flying toward the girls’ space.

He arrived and asked to join them. At first, the girls had denied him entrance.

"No, you’re a male... no males allowed here!" Luna insisted.

"But Papa Eris and Zayn are here... they’re clearly not girls. Let me join your team, please. It’s fun," Kan pleaded with his puppy eyes.

The girls turned to one another and then began discussing amongst themselves. They discussed as though they were in some secret cult or something.

While they spoke, they looked up at Kan, who was standing and waiting for their final verdict. Then they looked down and continued discussing—looking up and down while discussing.

After a while, they turned to Kan and cleared their throats.

Luna said, "We’ll let you in!"

Everyone clapped while they welcomed him into their space. Kan smiled happily as he sat down with them and joined in their fun games.

Ronan and Lune stared, speechless.

"I can’t believe my eyes. That traitor," Ronan said, speechless. "How can he betray me like that? I’m hurt!"

Lune sighed. "We have to work harder. Playing wooden ball and chasing things all day isn’t so fun, though."

Ronan stared at him as Lune nodded. "Yes. The girls’ games are more fun here."

Ronan folded his arms as he thought for a while. "I also think so. What do we do now?"

Lune smiled as he said, "What if we go and join them?"

Ronan stared at him and thought for a while. Then he finally nodded. "Mmm, let’s go and join them and have fun, then."

Lune smiled happily as he got up to his feet with Ronan. Them and some other boys around rushed toward the girls’ space.

They got there and requested to join in the fun as well. The girls refused at first, saying that they needed to apologize for bickering with them.

It took some ego, but they finally did, and the girls let them in, letting them join in the fun and games while singing and dancing through the night.

Sunnie, Little Black, and the rest sat down watching while smiling.

She shook her head as she said, "Kids will always be kids. They never grow up. Cute." She smiled as she continued eating.

Little Black stared at them for a while as he said, "Do you think I should also go and join?"

He asked as they all turned and stared at him.
