Chapter 292: 292: Double Delivery

While they waited, all pacing around and anxiously listening to the two females inside crying in pain while delivering, and watching the other women rush in and out with the requirements needed to help them deliver and keep calm, Maren looked around with both arms folded as she asked,

"Eh... where is Zukka? Isn’t he supposed to be here when his sister is delivering? Why isn’t he around?"

"He went back to their tribe to get her husband," Little Black said.

"Oh," Maren nodded.

Mii sighed as she said, "I can’t wait to see what Zuna’s daughter would look like. She’s so pretty; I’m sure her little ones will also be pretty!"

Maren nodded with a smile. "True."

She added, "And it’s so great that Mama and Zuna are delivering on the same day. It’s going to be a special event too—the two on the same day. They have been great friends for as long as I can remember, so this is exciting too."

Mii nodded with a smile. "I wonder what the cubs will all look like?" She asked as the two of them proceeded into discussion on what the cubs would look like.

While they discussed, Ronan was sitting alone at a corner, quietly. He was holding his wooden ball in his hand while sitting like someone who had been wronged.

Luka had seen his little boy sitting down quietly without saying a word. He came to sit down beside him with a smile.

"Hey, what’s wrong? Why is my little playful boy suddenly so quiet and looking sulky?" Luka asked with a smile, patting him on the hair.

Ronan was quiet, staring down at his ball before he said, "I’m worried about Mama."

Luka smiled as he asked, "Oh, is that so? Why?"

"She’s been in there for long... I’m worried if she’ll be okay," he expressed.

Luka smiled as he patted him on the hair and ears. "I didn’t know my little boy could be this worried... that’s cute, I suppose," he smiled.

"But don’t worry, Mama will be okay. I promise... okay? So stop sulking," he tried consoling him.

Ronan nodded but was still sulky. Luka stared at him while he asked, "Are you sure that’s the problem? Eh? Speak to me..."

Ronan was quiet for a while. But he shook his head with a smile as he said, "Don’t worry, I’m fine. I’m just worried about Mama," he said with a bright smile.

Luka stared at him, worried. Even though he was smiling, he had a feeling that Ronan was worried about something inside and couldn’t share it now.

But he didn’t want to force him to share. He simply told him to always tell him whenever he’s worried. "I’ll always listen... okay?"

Ronan nodded with a smile.

Soon, the crying of the two females had come to a stop, and they heard cries of little ones from inside the room.

At that moment, everyone stiffened. They all stood up and stared at each other, confused and surprised at the same time. It was clear that the cubs had been delivered. They were too excited that they didn’t know how to feel at all.

"The little ones are here..." One of the women said as she stepped out of the cave room. "They are finally here."

Smiles instantly filled the faces of the people around.

Maren and Mii instantly got up to their feet as the music began playing in the atmosphere.

Some beastmen had begun beating their instruments to celebrate the successful delivery that had just taken place.

While they celebrated in the background happily, the beast husbands and some had stepped forward.

Mii and Maren were close to the entrance along with Ronan and the twins. They were all excited to go in and see the little ones.

The beast husbands and Little Black were also standing behind them, waiting for the beast women inside to give them a go-ahead order to come in.

While they waited, Zukka had arrived. He had also arrived with Zuna’s husband.

Everyone turned and stared at the lion beastman who had rushed into the scene with Zukka. He seemed excited and anxious at the same time.

"Where is she? Where is Zuna? How is she doing? Is she okay? How is the cub? Where...?" He seemed anxious while panting from all the running he must have done.

Mii and Maren simply smiled at the scene while shaking their heads. "Cute," the two girls muttered to themselves.

Just then, a woman stepped out of the room with dirty water in a bowl she intended to throw away. "Don’t worry. She’s safe and inside. And so are her cubs," the woman said with a smile.

Zuna’s husband stared at Zukka and then stared at the woman. At first, he was at least relieved that Zuna was okay and had delivered safely.

Then hearing what the woman said, he was rather stunned. "Did you say... cubs? Like two?" He asked, surprised.

The lady smiled as she nodded. "Our Zuna gave birth to two cubs at the same time. So you all can go in now and take a look if you want. But not too many people though. They need some space."

As the woman passed down the information, she smiled as she stepped out of the scene to get her work done.

Immediately, the rest made their way into the cave, excited to see the two women and the cubs they had delivered.

Sunnie and Zuna were laying on different beds, warmly made and covered with soft animal skin clothing.

Zuna lay there covered with her two cubs in her arms—two tiny, weak lion cubs. Both looking small in her arms while she held them firmly and smiled at them.

Sunnie, on the other hand, held the little tiger cub in her arm while the bird egg sat by her side. The two females had delivered their cubs, and they both lay there, holding and smiling at their little ones.

Elza and some other women sat around, staring at the scene with warm smiles.

"Oh, the little ones are so tiny and adorable..." one of the women expressed.

"I know, right?" Elza shook her head, proud in tears while watching Zuna. She felt so happy for her to have given birth.

Sunnie smiled as she stared at Zuna, who was holding her little two. She felt extremely proud at the scene. Having spent time with Zuna, she felt like a mother to her. Now seeing her with her little ones, she felt like her heart would be bursting with joy.

"I can’t believe you now have your little ones to look after. You’re a full mother now. I’m so proud of you indeed," Sunnie expressed, tears running down her eyes.

Zuna stared at her with a smile. "I’m so happy that I delivered at the same time as you. This feels so special to me."

"Same too. It also feels special," Sunnie smiled as she stared down at the cub in her arms and then at the egg by her side. "I suppose they’ll all be soulmates since they all came at the same time."

Elza smiled. "Soulmates indeed."

The women adored the little ones who were already crying and kicking their tiny feet around. Not long after, the others made their way in.

Elza smiled as she said, "I guess everyone is here to see the little ones." She said as they stepped aside to let everyone come closer to take a look at the new cubs of the tribe.

Immediately, Lune and Luna went down on their knees before the beds. The two stared from one place to another—from the lion cub to the tiger cub to the egg. They didn’t know which to pay attention to.

Even Maren and Mii felt the same—standing close and staring at all the cubs with smiles on their faces.

"Oh, they’re so tiny and cute..." Mii smiled happily.

"Yes. I can’t wait to carry them all! So happy!" Maren felt like a mother while staring at the little ones in sight.

Sunnie and Zuna simply stared at each other with a smile as they watched the two young girls gushing over the adorable little ones.

Zuna’s beast husband, Mar, had stepped into the room as the eyes of Zuna, Sunnie, and some other women fell on him.

They all smiled as it was their first time seeing her husband.

"Oh, he is handsome..." Elza said with a smile.

"A fine young man... now I see who the male cub takes after. Looks like him," another woman smiled.

They watched Mar come to sit down beside Zuna. He felt extremely happy at the sight before him that Zuna could tell that he was close to crying.

"Can I hold one?" Mar asked, anxious and excited.

Zuna smiled with a nod. "Sure." She said as she handed him the female cub. She had given birth to twins—a male and female lion cub.

As Mar held the cub, he instantly burst out into tears as everyone felt their hearts flutter with smiles as they stared at the scene of the new couple and their first cubs.

It was a beautiful scene.
