Sunnie had had a good night’s sleep. She had slept all alone in the room, comfortably.

She didn’t stay through the event last night. She had felt sleepy after a while and retired to bed with Zuna and some of the ladies.

Lune and Luna had insisted on going to sleep with Sunnie, but the beast husbands had struggled to pull them out.

"Mama needs rest," Zayn had said. "So come and sleep with me instead."

And so Zayn had taken the two of them to sleep with him instead.

By the time Sunnie woke up the next day, she was rather confused.

She heard some noises around the room. She could tell someone was in the room with her, but who was it and what was this person doing?

Sunnie opened her eyes and slowly turned to the side. Surprised, she saw Karl.

The beastman was standing at the corner of her bed and was setting something up close to her.

"...." Sunnie was confused as she rubbed a hand against her eyes to get a better look at what the hell was happening.

"This... what’s this...?" She slowly sat up to take a better look and was rather surprised when she saw some nest around her.

Karl was putting some nest around her, carefully fixing it around her with some soft tender leaves and soft objects.

"....." She was confused as she scratched her hair. "What is happening...?" She stared at him.

Karl didn’t expect to be caught. But since he was already seen, he guessed he had to start speaking. "Shh..." He placed a finger between his lips as he said, "You should start going to sleep now..." He insisted.

Sunnie blinked, confused. "Huh?"

Karl looked around as he said, "I figured that the bed you sleep on is rather hard... and everything is hard that it will certainly bring you some pain and discomfort."

He continued, "So I decided to find a better alternative for you. I decided to go and gather all the soft nests and stuff and make a softer bedding for you. So when you sleep, you won’t worry about any pains at all." He said confidently.

"...." Sunnie said nothing. She looked around the bed, feeling like a bird in a nest ready to hatch its egg. She blinked and stared at him again.

Karl added, "I mean, I wanted to do it all carefully and quietly so it doesn’t wake you up or anything... but I guess it didn’t work and you woke up..." He shrugged.

Sunnie sighed as she said, "Well, thanks for being considerate, but I don’t think you need to go through the stress of it. I’m okay with the bedding... really, it’s actually soft and not as hard as you say."

"No..." The eagle insisted as he leaned closer, placing a hand over her stomach while he said, "You need to sleep comfortably like a queen for you and the baby to be healthy. That’s my priority." He stared at her with a smile.

"In the eagle tribe, the pregnant female takes the softest and most comfortable nest. So you should too," he explained.

Sunnie simply blinked and stared. She guessed she didn’t know what to say at this point.

Just then, Azure and Eris walked into the room to bring breakfast for the female.

On seeing the scene at hand, they paused and stared without anything to say at the moment.

"....." Azure blinked.

"Are we sending off the female for a bird festival or... am I missing something?" Eris inquired.

"No, I’m making sure the female has the softest and most comfortable sleeping space," the eagle explained.

"...." Eris and Azure were rather baffled. "But the bed is already comfortable..."

"No, this is better," Karl insisted.

"But the female is not a bird," Azure blinked.

Silence as they blinked, staring at each other. Then the eagle folded his arms, clearing his throat as he said, "Well, you guys know nothing." He turned to the female with a smile. "This will keep you most comfortable, okay?"

But soon, Sunnie threw the three of them out.

Azure, Karl, and Eris were soon standing outside her room. Azure and Eris holding the food in their arms while Karl had his nest and equipment with him. All standing and blinking, speechless.

"I guess the female doesn’t like it," Eris said.

"Wasn’t it obvious?" Azure stared at Karl.

Karl cleared his throat as he said, "Well... I guess I’ll try something else."

Azure and Eris shook their heads. "You won’t rest now, will you? Because of you, the female didn’t even take the food we prepared for her," Azure said.

Eris sighed. "We should go and try again."

Azure nodded as he turned to Karl. "As for you, let the female sleep for a while at least. Okay?"

Karl bit his lower lip.

Sunnie didn’t think she would get some real rest with her two strict husbands around.

Every day, these two were always coming up with something mischievous to do in the name of pampering her and taking care of her.

One morning, Sunnie sat down with the other women while they had varieties of discussions while the women prepared meals.

Sunnie had wanted to join in and also prepare some food, but her two husbands didn’t seem to want her in.

"It’ll hurt your hand," Karl had insisted. "You shouldn’t work."

"You should go and get some more sleep. It’ll be better," Zayn said as if she hadn’t been sleeping for hours now.

Sunnie had insisted on at least coming out and sitting around while watching them. And they finally agreed. But this time, the two of them decided to stand beside her while she sat there.

As Sunnie sat and watched the other women work, Zayn and Karl stood behind her like bodyguards, arms folded with firm expressions while they watched.

As the ladies spoke and laughed, they’d turn around and see the husbands standing there and staring with their cold expressions that were rather unreadable.

The women would smile and shake their heads and then turn to continue their gossips and chat.

Sunnie sighed with a smile as she continued while they spoke about their favorite meals and meats and stuff like that.

While Sunnie spoke about how she liked some certain animal meat casually, they both leaned closer to listen.

Karl and Zayn’s ears twitched while they listened to the female fantasize over her favorite thing to eat casually. After she was done speaking, they stared at each other.

Eris, Luka, and Azure sat at a distance, grinding ingredients for the preparation of the meal while staring in the direction of Karl and Zayn.

They shook their heads from time to time as Luka said, "I think they’re worse than me when she was pregnant."

"Me too. They’re like total security beastmen or something. Not even letting their eyes off her for a minute. They even stand outside her house all night," Eris said as they shook their heads.

"They’re certainly taking that crown," Azure said as they all nodded.

"Truly," Eris agreed while they ground.

"Papa! Papa!" Lune and Luna ran towards them, playing a chase game and crashed into the three of them.

"Ah!" Luna screamed as she slipped, but Eris immediately caught the two kids with both arms.

But the damage was already done. The ingredients they were preparing had already spilled everywhere.

Everyone turned and stared at them. Eris stared down at the mess while staring at Sunnie, who had her eyes on them as well.

She blinked with a sigh as she said, "Well, I guess more work needed. We’ll go get more ingredients." She said, dropping the little ones.

"That’s enough play for today from you two. Okay? Sit down and think about the mess you’ve made," Eris said firmly to the two little ones.

The two of them blinked profusely, arms put together while they stared at Eris with their big pouty eyes.

"That won’t save you," Eris said. "No cute eyes for today. Go and sit down and think about what you’ve done," Eris said firmly.

"Yes, Papa..." Luna said, looking down.

"Sorry, Papa..." Lune said.

"Good, now sit down," Eris said as the two went to take their seat. The two foxes sat there looking around without saying anything.

They knew they were probably grounded now.

Sunnie sat there with a smile lingering on her face as she watched the two foxes stare at her, hoping she would set them free. But she said nothing.

She smiled as she winked at them.

Soon, Zayn and Karl leaned in and said to the female, "So you can sit around here and have some fun with the other females. We’ll be leaving for something important."

Sunnie stared at them, surprised. She didn’t ask where they were headed. They didn’t bother saying. They simply turned and made their way out, heading out of the tribe, clearly for something important.

The other females shook their heads as they said, "Free at least, I see," one said as they all laughed.
