When Ling Mingrui returned, Ling Zhengping and Ling Ruonan were sitting in the living room with darkened faces, and no other person was seen.

Seeing the siblings like this, Ling Mingrui had a bad feeling.

“Everyone’s here!” Ling Mingrui sat down on the sofa and quietly asked, “What did you all talk about?”

Ling Ruonan sighed and recounted the incident that just happened, along with the conversation between them. Ling Mingrui’s expression changed again. He looked at Ling Ruonan and then coldly stared at Ling Zhengping, “Tell me, did you or did you not participate in this affair? Did you plan the assassination?”

Previously, he was driven by jealousy, and coupled with Haining often being bullied by Ziling, and suspecting me and Xusheng had an inappropriate relationship, he harbored hatred towards Ziling and wanted to harm him. After failing, he held an even deeper grudge against Ziling. These days, I’ve been persuading him, hoping he doesn’t act impulsively, after all, they are descendants of the Ling Family, and Ziling is liked by several elders and now actively shows goodwill. “Your father left, go see what he’s doing.” Ling Mingrui instructed a nervous-looking Ling Haining, “If anything happens, report back to your mother!”
