Of all my brothers, Rolan is the most terrifying when it comes to bullying; on one occasion, after he’d tamed that flying lizard simply because I wanted to taste dragon meat and wanted to cut off one of its legs, and I asked Rolan for this very politely and respectfully, as a young brother,

but that bastard tied me to the lizard’s leg, saying that, as well as putting my mind back in its right place (nonsense – it’s in its right place – he gave me a concussion), he said he’d cure my fear of heights (according to him, of course). Why on earth would I be afraid of heights when I live on the top floor of the castle??!!

And he made the lizard fly high and perform acrobatic manoeuvres.

You could say he really did give me Phobia of heightsback then... To the extent that I was terrified for a long time and couldn’t even go up to my room on my own, but that bastard dragged me over to it and stopped me from moving to a room on the ground floor, saying that the ground floor was reserved for the servants!!!

But that bastard... one day I’ll roast that damned flying lizard of his...

Just forget about it. This bloke’s mad, so let’s not put too much pressure on him.

Maybe he’s so preoccupied with the Grand Duke’s orders that he’s forgotten to bully me...

Hah...

But I remained somewhat wary, because if he felt too much pressure from the Grand Duke’s orders, he might come and bully me again just to feel better

Strangely enough, though, the march proceeded in silence and without any problems at all. In the evening, we stopped at a military rest point – areas that had been cleared and specially prepared for the comfort of travelling nobles and small armies in Korvekar, such as the one I’m leading now.

I entered the tent that had been prepared for me, and Vilen followed behind me. He helped me take off my cloak and sword belt, and then I sat down on the bed whilst he removed my boots.

I soaked my feet in hot water, then closed my eyes, savouring the feeling of relief whilst Vilen massaged my feet.

Phew... It’s been a long time since I’ve been this physically exhausted. I feel as though my ass is shattered from riding for hours on end, and my feet are so cramped that I’m finding it hard to walk.

I stretched out on the bed, my feet still soaking in the warm water, and felt extremely drowsy from exhaustion.

I blinked once, then twice, and just as I was about to close my eyes for good, the tent flap was lifted and the most annoying sound one could possibly hear whilst resting rang out.

"Are you an idiot? Why are you lying on your bed without organising your soldiers? Do you think you’re at home?"

I looked at this angry fool, Rolan, with indignation out of the corner of my eye.

Can’t he see I’m dying here? But let’s not give him any excuse to start his bullying.

"I have. I’ve followed all the protocols and official procedures."

"What do you think the army is? Did you just give them orders and leave them to it...? You must keep in touch and at least get to know your knights..."

So I sat there, dejected, and pleaded with him

"Brother... I’m really tired. I’ll just sleep for an hour, all right?"

"Alexander"

"Yes, brother?" I replied with a sigh and a heavy heart.

"Alexander Lazar Serafim Belov Snezhin Varyesk Korvekhar."

"Yes, that’s my name... I think."

"Yes, you should have thought twice before volunteering to lead an army again, you little bastard."

he said, kicking the water basin aside before pulling me up by the hand

"You bastard, at least let me put my shoes on..."

He didn’t listen to me as he dragged me along

I felt terribly embarrassed. Did this bastard want to drag me in front of my soldiers? So, unconsciously, I activated my ability -The calamity- to break free from his grip, but before I’d even fully activated it, I felt a kick aimed straight at my stomach. I flew backwards and crashed into the bed, smashing it to pieces, and felt two ribs snap cleanly in my back.

"What are you doing, you bastard?"... It was he who shouted...

I looked at him in frustration, blood pooling in my mouth because I’d bitten my tongue...

That damned bastard...

I wanted to retort, but when I opened my mouth, blood poured out. However, the unscrupulous brother suddenly whistled; my face went pale, I jumped up in a hurry and forgot all my exhaustion.

"Stop it, you bastard! What’s got into you all of a sudden? Are you suffering from menstrual disor...?"

But before I could finish, a stupid lizard swooped down, smashed what was left of my tent and seized me with its huge claws. I looked with a gaze full of betrayal at that foolish knight and my disloyal servant, who was standing in the corner of what remained of the tent, bowing to

the traitor....

Then the lizard flew away

I’ll flog both of those bastards with my own hands

I clung to its claws with both my hands and legs and closed my eyes—not that I had any chance of opening them—as we soared through the air at breakneck speed, rising upwards like a meteor in reverse

"You bastard, put me down!"

I screamed, but I think I’d swallowed something, so I closed my mouth sadly and began to feel sick at the mere thought that I’d fallen into the trap again and swallowed some insect. So I used my ability - The Core - The Law of Chaos in mid-air,

and suddenly the Flying lizard lost its balance; even I no longer knew what I was holding on to, No, I no longer knew whether I was holding on to anything or not. Instead of falling, I shot sharply higher into the air, whilst the black dragon opposite me began to plummet downwards, roaring miserably—but a strange sound emerged instead of its majestic roar

My stomach settled too, but the problem was that suddenly my blood began to flow backwards; even if it was only for a fraction of a second, I felt as though my body was about to explode, so I immediately cancelled the ability, but I coughed up blood into the air anyway as I plummeted... But I didn’t have time to shout for help because I’d already lost consciousness...

Who would have imagined that my ability would suddenly develop, only to turn against me and attack me?!

___________________________

I opened my eyes gently, and the first thought that crossed my mind about the scene before me was

Magnificent...

As I gazed at the dark-blue night sky, filled with a multitude of stars surrounding the moon like a guarding army

But before I’d even finished marvelling at the exquisite beauty, I felt a kick coming from my side; though I tried to dodge it, it hit its mark perfectly. Yet instead of flying off horizontally, I suddenly found myself falling...

"Rolan, you bastard..." I screamed in terror as I tried to grab hold of the flying lizard, but that bastard performed a strange manoeuvre and evaded my grasp, so I began to fall straight down

"You son of `##]&#÷$& #$<#§ #$" :##":#$ and @™&#&€##, you #&^#&&|#@-_@, you @$_#@ $&##*, you #×$& :"@$*_#"

So I started shouting every curse I’d learnt from this bastard and others from the novels I’d read so far—whatever came to mind as I plunged down through the clouds. Then I shut my mouth immediately, fearing I might swallow another insect now that we were below the clouds.

It wasn’t that I didn’t want to fight back, but quite simply I had no advantage over him, especially in the air – which is this damned creature called Rolan’s natural habitat.

Does he want to kill me?

This madman – is that why he followed me?

Do they finally want revenge because I killed our mother?

That’s cruel... though I don’t mind, but couldn’t he have killed me painlessly?

Why was something called poison invented, you bastard?

Couldn’t he have just killed me whilst I was asleep?

Does he want to see me crying out in pain?

Should I just accept it?

But this will be painful... my whole body will explode if I fall like this. Doesn’t he even want to build me a grave???

Then suddenly I was snatched up and thrown into the air, and then I fell once more onto that terrifying lizard...

...

It seems I’m still alive...

So that stupid lizard rose above the clouds once more.

...

I looked sadly at Rolan.

If he wanted to kill me, couldn’t he just do it? Why is he playing with me as if I were his own volleyball?

The lizard rose above the clouds once more, and Rolan ordered me in a cold voice

"Use the Law of Chaos."

I didn’t even have the energy to reply.

Damn that bastard... I should at least have expected this much bullying...

"If you don’t cooperate, I’ll take you back home and tell the1 father you tried to run away. As punishment, I’ll ask the father to place you under my command."

"...."

"Come on, one more time..."

Damn him... Should I kill his dragon?

It’s done...

Let’s do this...

Don’t blame me, you bastard...
