Chapter 865: Shadow Void Land Expansion
Chapter 865: Shadow Void Land Expansion
Controlling the Shadow Void Land within the Aeon Plane, Maximus teleported it into the chaotic void.
Like a grain of sand drifting in the sea, the Shadow Void Land was too inconspicuous compared to the endless chaotic void.
As for the people within it, besides the tier 11 powerhouses, all those at tier 10 and below were sent back to their respective planes.
Although the Shadow Void Land already had a self-sustaining environment, it still couldn’t accommodate weaker powerhouses in the chaotic void.
“This is the piece of architecture we’ll be working on,” Maximus introduced to Zuri and the Overlords gathered around.
“So, what do we do? Have you already deduced the blueprint?” Zuri asked.
“Yes, here…” Maximus nodded, presenting an Omni containing the complete blueprint for the expansion of the Shadow Void Land.
“This—”
Examining the Omni, Zuri was struck with awe.
Though it held little energy, it carried a vast presence that one couldn’t ignore.
As if facing a fragment of Maximus himself, Zuri didn’t dare to treat it lightly.
Carefully studying the Omni, he noticed it not only contained the blueprint but also provided guidance for each of their roles.
It began by analyzing his specialties, then assigned various tasks he could tackle immediately.
There were even rewards for each task he accomplished, covering all the coordination they needed.
“Can the tasks in here update simultaneously, or are they static?” Zuri asked curiously.
If they were static, it was merely a projection of tasks categorized by their abilities.
But if they could update simultaneously, it would truly be a divine tool for such a massive project.
No need to plan, no need to coordinate, no need to even speak to each other.
As long as they performed their tasks well, expanding the Shadow Void Land would take only a few million years.
“It updates in real time. It’s a part of my consciousness, which can oversee and analyze all progress in the project,” Maximus said with a smile, presenting his grand creation.
The Omni was not just a monitoring and transportation treasure but also a godly assistant, a system containing a strand of Maximus’s power.
It could even handle most of the repetitive and manual work, leaving only the intricate details for the Overlords to manage.
“Great! With this, we can finish the project soon!” Zuri smiled, seeing Maximus nod.
“Then let’s start…”
Generating trillions upon trillions of Omnis, Maximus flicked one to each Overlord invited by the Overseers.
Receiving the ultimate auxiliary device that would guide and coordinate their tasks, everyone flew toward the Shadow Void Land.
Shrinking their bodies to the size of a normal human, they gathered and began to work.
With Zuri leading the team, they first focused on increasing the size of the Shadow Void Land.
To accommodate new improvements, materials, and various auxiliary facilities for defense, attack, and other miscellaneous activities, the current size of the Shadow Void Land was far from sufficient.
Their ultimate goal was to expand it to a size capable of housing thousands of tier 12 planes.
For now, expanding it a million times would be more than enough.
Once they integrated the expandable materials into the architecture and guided it with an array, it could grow on its own with sufficient energy.
Meanwhile, as the majority worked on expanding the land, others began laying the massive array.
Like veins in a body or circuits in a device, the array distributes power, relaying commands and features throughout the architecture.
Then, a few also began to take care of the defensive forts, weapons, and boosters to enable the Shadow Void Land to move.
Although the Shadow Void Land wouldn’t directly face the onslaught of dark beasts, as the future trading center of plane origin and myriad energy, it needed not only a sturdy defense but also an overwhelming power.
Ideally, its defensive strength should approach or even surpass the barrier separating the inner and outer chaos regions.
As for its power, it should ideally rival that of an Overseer.
However, knowing a mere structure couldn’t contain such power, Maximus set their goal to achieve an attack strength close to that of an Archon.
Still, attack power was one thing, but endurance, speed, range, and attack frequency had to be unparalleled.
Even if it could only kill a tier 12 dark beast instantly, it should be capable of eliminating a billion per second.
Another essential capability the Shadow Void Outpost needed was mobility.
Although Maximus could teleport it instantly to any location, that was too much of a hassle.
Especially for short-distance maneuvers to dodge, escape, or pursue a target.
If Maximus had to adjust the Shadow Void Land’s position every moment, he’d collapse from exhaustion.
The next focus of the project was the Tower of Knowledge.
Here, most of the work was done by members of the Order of Maxim, Maximus’s family, and select Overlords specializing in the path of knowledge.
To optimize the Tower of Knowledge, not just anyone could contribute.
At the very least, their attainment and foundation of knowledge had to be at the peak.
Otherwise, a slight conflict of energy could cause the entire project to collapse.
Fortunately, this was only a transitional phase.
Once they rebuilt the Tower of Knowledge to match the prototype of the Tower of Chaos, anyone could contribute to its construction.
Eager to finish it as quickly as possible, Maximus’s family had no choice but to work for a while.
Meanwhile, amid all this building, Maximus was integrating the chaotic laws into the core of the Shadow Void Land.
To truly possess the ability to roam the chaotic void, it couldn’t rely solely on materials or arrays but had to embody the nature of chaos itself.
This process could be performed by any Archon who had mastered the essence of chaotic law.
However, if another power tainted the Shadow Void Land, it would be like clear water polluted by a drop of dye.
To maintain complete control, Maximus had no choice but to do the work himself.
