The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 97 94: Mutual Investment, the Eye of Truth Transforms Again

As the Wizard Mark on his palm activated, his access was granted, and the faintly glowing gate swallowed Wang Ya whole.

The interior resembled the spiral bookshelves from the main hall, but on a much smaller scale. A single spiral staircase led upwards, and Lighting Stones were set along the shelves at regular intervals, keeping the room brightly lit.

The Outer Zone was clearly marked at the base of the staircase. Wang Ya wasn't foolish enough to trespass and break the rules.

He picked up a book titled *Detailed Explanation of Arthropod Extraordinary Creatures*. Flipping it open, he found it was filled with both text and illustrations.

'Phylum Arthropoda... Subphylum Crystal Segment Hexapod... Family Abdominal Scale... Order Scale-Colored Wing... Family Dragonfly Hunting...' The entry was on the Benny's Purple Vine Dragonfly, a giant purple dragonfly-type Extraordinary Creature. It had wings resembling wisteria flowers and was known for its incredible flight speed, which allowed it to create Wind Blades sharp enough to slice through steel.

Wang Ya turned the page. This entry was about a spider-type Extraordinary Creature: the Wuke Mountain Crystal Bag Treasure-Hunting Spider. Its body was a brilliant ruby red, adorned with a web of golden lines, and a large portion of its abdomen was covered in crystals.

It belonged to the phylum Arthropoda, class Arachnida, order Crystal Spider, and family Treasure-Hunting Spider... The crystals on its abdomen were a special type of Extraordinary Resource, capable of conducting Wizard Particle Energy.

These Extraordinary Creatures were being raised in a damaged Small Secret Realm within the Dark Land.

'It looks like these books only contain basic introductions. There's no information about the creatures' Extraordinary Properties.'

Wang Ya wasn't disappointed. A fine, lightning-like glint flashed in his pupils. Within ten seconds, he had finished flipping through the book, and all the relevant text was collected.

He then turned his attention to the other books.

Four hours later, Wang Ya walked out of the Extraordinary Creatures Species Reference Room. He had finished absorbing the information from a third of the books in the Outer Zone.

'I still have plenty of time. There's no need to push myself to absorb all this information at once.'

'Besides, with an Extreme Wizard Apprentice like Slate around, I have to keep up this persona.'

Wang Ya could clearly feel his Eye of Truth stirring. It was undergoing a subtle transformation. As long as he kept collecting information from these books, its evolution and improvement wouldn't stop.

The increased speed of his analysis was built upon this foundation of information and knowledge.

If he were collecting information on Extraordinary Knowledge, the improvement would be even more significant.

Wang Ya even considered gathering more Extraordinary Knowledge.

But the exorbitant price made him instantly dismiss the thought.

'Fortunately, I haven't sold the Extraordinary Items from those two Wizard's Rings yet.'

Those few Witch Books didn't align with his area of expertise or his chosen Extraordinary Discipline.

After returning to his Wizard's Residence, he spent a few minutes letting the Eye of Truth finish processing the information. A faint, throbbing pain emanated from his eyeballs, and Wang Ya instinctively covered his eyes.

A look of delight then crossed his face. The analysis time for the two targets he was currently working on had each been reduced by half a day.

'At this rate, I can advance the schedule for my various Wizard Experiments and Witchcraft trials.'

'I'll be able to increase my Power even more before the Secret Realm competition.'

...

「White Bone Wizard Tower」

Within a Three-Layered Space created by a Space Folding Witch Array, there existed a vast Primitive Forest. The vegetation was enormous, and all manner of Extraordinary Creatures roared to the heavens as they stampeded out, charging toward the lone figure at the center.

Judging by their auras and raw Power, every single one of these Extraordinary Creatures had reached the level of a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.

In the outside world, each would be considered a top-tier Extraordinary Hunter. Ordinary Extraordinary Creatures wouldn't even be able to withstand their oppressive auras and would be left helpless, ready for slaughter.

The figure in the brown Wizard Robe had a cool, detached expression. His purple hair whipped about in the force of the aura erupting from him—an aura that was somehow even more powerful than those of the terrifying Extraordinary Creatures surrounding him.

Pure white Particle Energy radiated from the figure in the Wizard Robe, coalescing into a writhing, liquid substance that seemed to cling to the very air before instantly blanketing the charging Extraordinary Creatures.

HSSSSSS!

One after another, the Extraordinary Creatures were turned into statues of pure, solid bone by the terrifying Particle Energy. Even the soil beneath them and the surrounding forest vegetation suffered the same fate.

Despite having instantly defeated so many fearsome creatures, the figure in the brown Wizard Robe remained expressionless. However, a peculiar light flickered deep within his eyes.

Wizard Yi Si, however, was preoccupied with recent news.

'His master, the White Bone Wizard, had returned with news from the Dark Summit Conference. The emergence of an Evil God was unexpected, but not shocking. At worst, he would just have to join a Wizard Task to hunt it down.'

'At his current level of Power, becoming an Official Wizard was no longer a distant dream. All that remained was the single most important, and most difficult, step: Sublimation.'

'What truly shocked him was that during the Dark Summit Conference, numerous Official Wizards had mentioned someone he never would have expected.'

An image surfaced in his mind: the face and figure of that Wizard Freshman from the Wizard Ship, and later, from Ancient Forest Mountain.

Wang Ya Harak. That young man who had caught his eye had somehow survived an encounter with an Evil God and even brought back information that had piqued the interest of numerous Official Wizards.

'It was simply incredible. How could a mere Wizard Freshman accomplish something like that?'

'Even if it wasn't the Evil God's true body, and even with a healthy dose of luck, it was still an astonishing feat.'
