The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth
Chapter 66 - 65: Dissection Project Begins, Energy Course
Inside the Wizard’s Residence.
Wang Ya glanced at Green Forest’s Soul Body. Nourished by the Red Dogtail Grass, it was gradually stabilizing, though he remained in a comatose State.
Next, he went to the lounge and took out the Transcendence Potion, worth eighty Magic Stones.
Consuming the Transcendence Potion was different from ordinary Extraordinary Potions. One had to hold it in their mouth without swallowing, allowing the Effect to work its way down from the top.
Moreover, the transformation process would last for at least two hours.
The Potion had a pungent taste that bloomed on his tongue like rotten clams before flowing down his throat, into his esophagus, and to his stomach.
Gradually, it felt like it was starting to burn, as if the liquid was highly corrosive.
Wang Ya felt the subtle changes in his body, along with a twitching, needle-like pain in his Spirit.

The night was clear and the stars were sparse. The creatures of the forest began to stir, one ferocious predator after another savoring the sweet taste of blood.
A black shadow emerged from the darkness. Its sharp claws easily pierced fur and flesh, locking onto the spine. The Wind Spirit Wolf, still with food in its mouth, was rendered powerless. Its wide eyes filled with pain as it let out a wail.
Harak strictly followed his master’s orders, capturing creatures with Extraordinary Properties and placing them in the Cultivation room. At the same time, he also enjoyed the thrill of the hunt.
The entire forest of the Wizard Residence Area was its territory and hunting ground.
[Notice: Transformation complete. Physique increased by 0.6, Spirit increased by 0.3]
Wang Ya walked out of the room, his face flushed red and beaded with sweat that dripped from his forehead. His eyes were full of vigor.
Unsettled waves of Particle Energy radiated from his body. Even his active Spiritual Power spread around him, causing small, miscellaneous objects to tremble.
’Once I advance to Level 1 Wizard Apprentice, I should be able to condense my Spiritual Power enough to control small objects.’
Wang Ya carefully experienced the changes within himself. He had a premonition that the eighth Wizard Rune of the Vast Sea Meditation Method might allow him to break through.
[Target: Wang Ya]
[Spiritual Power: 9.1]
[Physique: 8]
[Particle Energy: 4.6 Units]
An increase in Spiritual Power could also lead to growth in his physique and Particle Energy Units.
This time, the enhancement process was shorter. Once his Physique reached a value of 8, the Eye of Truth determined that continuing would be more harmful than beneficial.
Of the Witchcraft he had mastered, aside from Senseless Deprivation Witchcraft, the remaining three all required about 0.8 to 1.5 units of Particle Energy to guarantee their full power.
Wang Ya hesitated between further studying Advanced Inheritance Witchcraft Knowledge and analyzing the Vast Sea Meditation Method. In the end, he chose the latter.
The Ability of the Eye of Truth was tied to Wang Ya’s own Power; the stronger he became, the stronger its functions grew.
’After advancing to Level 1 Wizard Apprentice, the Eye of Truth might also grow stronger. It might even be able to increase the number of analysis targets.’
’That way, I could work on the Inheritance Witchcraft Knowledge and the Vast Sea Meditation Method at the same time, without delaying either one.’
[Notice: Analyzing the sixth Wizard Rune of the Vast Sea Meditation Method. Estimated time: 22 days.]
The wait time was within Wang Ya’s expectations. Once the analysis was complete, his understanding of basic Extraordinary Knowledge would likely rise to a new level, solidifying his foundation.
He went to check the Cultivation room again. There were already sixteen creatures with Extraordinary Properties, most of them small. The only large one was a Mountain Bear. It was tough and wild, and when it saw Wang Ya enter the Cultivation room, it roared at him from within its living area, which was enclosed by special metal and glass.
The other creatures with Extraordinary Properties in their own enclosures trembled, clearly afraid of the Mountain Bear.
Wang Ya nodded and took out a small booklet and a pen from the sleeve of his Wizard Robe.
Most of the booklet’s pages were blank. The written ones contained some of Wang Ya’s own insights and notes on his experimental plans.
[Extraordinary Dissection Plan]
[Implementation Time: Seven days from now]
[Implementation Target: Mountain Bear]
[Experiment Objective: To verify my knowledge of Extraordinary Dissection, improve my technical skill to the point where I can perform Wizard Surgery independently, and to extract the Extraordinary Properties from the Mountain Bear to study Extraordinary Transformation.]
Wang Ya closed the booklet, gave the Mountain Bear a small smile, and turned to leave the Cultivation room.
Given his own pace, seven days should be enough for Wang Ya to master this area of knowledge.
The Mountain Bear watched Wang Ya’s departing figure. Thinking its show of power had scared off the dangerous two-legged creature, it let out a low growl.
Suddenly, it shuddered involuntarily. It felt a thick malevolence cling to its body.
A terrible chill!
It was like some filthy thing... The bear dropped to the ground, looked around, and scurried back into the makeshift den it had built.
When Wang Ya pushed open the door to his lounge, Harak shot in after him. It flapped its wings and landed on the coat rack. The rack was made of special metal, so it wasn’t destroyed, merely scratched.
He reviewed the Extraordinary Knowledge he had mastered and nodded slightly. If he could perform Wizard Surgery on his own in seven days, he could also implant the Shadow Crow Bloodline into Harak’s body.
’Harak is just a low-tier creature. I wonder what level it will reach after evolving further.’
The most important thing was for it to develop an Extraordinary Bloodline. With a bloodline, it could be passed down, even if the chances of inheritance were incredibly slim.
After all, they were just Low-tier Extraordinary Creatures!
Wang Ya put down the brown book in his hand, placed it on the nightstand, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
.......
A damp mist rushed toward him, soaking his Wizard Robe, but there was nothing he could do. He was holding onto Harak’s feet with his right hand as the creature’s wings carried him swiftly toward the entrance of the Wizard Residence Area.
Below was a dense forest. Flocks of birds and beasts scattered, causing quite a commotion.
The aura of Particle Energy he emitted was instinctively terrifying to these ordinary creatures, like that of an apex predator.
If they became Extraordinary Creatures, however, they would no longer feel fear toward Wang Ya, but rather greed and hunger.
Today’s Extraordinary Course was Energy Science, held in a large classroom on the ninth floor of the Seventh Teaching Building.
Many Wizard Students hurried along the academy paths, all heading to different teaching buildings for their Extraordinary Courses. Wang Ya was inconspicuous among them.
He entered the Seventh Teaching Building. Naturally, there was no Teleportation Witch Array here, so he had to take the stairs.
A dark Particle Energy Field rippled like shimmering light over the faintly visible gate ahead. It wasn’t so much a gate as an entrance where a Witch Array determined who could pass.
The Wizard Mark on his palm grew warm, and a message was transmitted into his mind.
[Lower House Wizard Student - Wang Ya Harak, you have purchased the basic Energy Science course. Please enter the classroom within five seconds, or this session will be void.]
Judging by the sense of danger he felt, rushing in without permission would likely have dire consequences.
Holding down his robes and carrying his notebook, Wang Ya walked through without hesitation.
