Chapter 1214: Mapping the Umbral Edge

Chapter 1214: Mapping the Umbral Edge

Although Vaan had a good glimpse of the Grand Unity Human Clan, its true situation couldn’t be known in the Astral Soul Realm. Time itself was seemingly frozen. Thus, the scene before him was like a picture snapped during a specific moment in time.

That said, Vaan couldn’t help but gaze at the Astral Grand Unity Human Clan.

If he could survive the life-threatening ordeal of the Umbral Edge and make it to the Grand Unity Human Clan, he would most likely spend a fair bit of time developing here.

Don’t be fooled by the galactic-sized planet ahead.

The Grand Unity Human Clan’s land, sky, and stars were much more than what was seen on the surface. The superplanet’s interior wasn’t entirely a solid mass.

Supposedly, the Grand Unity Human Clan was divided into multiple heavens.

More skies existed beneath the surface of the land, each filled with numerous stars as well.

Due to the sheer distance, the ordinary beings of the lower heavens would only see a normal starry sky, unaware that a more vast and boundless stretch of land existed beyond their heavenly dome.

Apparently, such a celestial arrangement was meant to separate the mortals, the divine, and the divinities, allowing each group to develop freely without the interference or influence of the others.

This ensured that the potential of each group wouldn’t be undermined, especially at the grassroots level.

After all, if mortals accidentally offended the divines or the divinities, resulting in catastrophic extinction, how could talents emerge from the grassroot level, advancing step by step to eventually become part of the Grand Unity Human Clan’s core strength?

As such, the separation of groups was in hopes of minimizing or even completely preventing the oppression of higher powers on the weak.

Nevertheless, each heaven was ultimately part of the world, forming a complete whole. As such, it was impossible for each group to become fully isolated from the others, free from any interference and influence.

When one’s cultivation level reached a certain level, the individual would receive the qualification to ascend to the upper heavens, granting opportunities to fight for resources more suitable for their level.

’Supposedly, the Grand Unity Human Clan’s resources are incredibly rich. However, its conflicts are far more intense and competitive than those of Star Kingdoms. Wars are waged nearly everywhere...’

Vaan recalled the information.

Apparently, such blood conflicts were highly effective at pushing the boundaries of human limits, enabling people to unleash their potential and achieve rapid progress in cultivation.

Furthermore, it wasn’t rare to even witness human cultivators achieve breakthroughs in the middle of battles.

Such a concept was almost foreign to the Myriad Sea God Palace.

Undoubtedly, the Grand Unity Human Clan had different governing laws that permitted such cultivation miracles to exist and become the norm in its world. 𝖗Ἀ𐌽ɵ฿Еș

’Indeed, such an environment is quite suitable for my growth. Unfortunately, I have to overcome my fated death if I wish to reach this place to develop,’ Vaan silently thought.

Moments later, he glanced back at the endless darkness of the Umbral Edge. His brows quickly knitted into deep thoughts.

’Although I took a linear path to exit the Umbral Edge and reach this place, such a path is not possible to take in reality. The true situation of reality is very much different from the astral plane,’ Vaan mused.

In reality, he wouldn’t be able to wield such vast soul power to part distant dark clouds for clear passage, and simply passing through such dark clouds was also extremely unwise.

After all, it was unknown what potential dangers were hidden within such vast bodies of dark matter.

Fortunately, even though the Astral Soul Realm wouldn’t show the actual situation within the Umbral Edge, it provided a general outline of its vast territory.

Thus, through the safety of the astral plane, Vaan could map out the entire Umbral Edge, understand all of its potentially dangerous zones, and record all the possible routes that navigated around them.

With that in mind, Vaan began to backtrack to its original point of entry into the Astral Soul Realm. He utilized the vast soul power to restore the Umbral Edge’s previous state before mapping out entire regions of space.

Undoubtedly, mapping out the vast and boundless Umbral Edge was incredibly tedious and time-consuming.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months.

However, since he wasn’t cultivating his soul, he utilized his soul power to accelerate time, granting himself more time in the Astral Soul Realm.

At the current rate he had adjusted, a few years inside the Astral Soul Realm was only equivalent to a day in reality. Thus, this granted him ample time to map out the Umbral Edge and understand its general state.

While navigating his way around each of these vast bodies of dark matter, Vaan had a sudden thought.

The Umbral Edge practically gathered all the darkness and negative forces of the cosmos.

Such an environment was undoubtedly riddled with dangers and unknowns. However, it was also the most suitable environment for the Death Eaters. At the very least, it was a far better environment than his Heaven-Swallowing Space.

’When I get the chance, I should release the army of Death Eaters and let them develop here. This place is no different from a Holy Land of Cultivation for them. They will, no doubt, grow very quickly,’ Vaan figured.

Originally, the army of Death Eaters was one of his trump cards, a force to be reckoned with.

However, his cultivation advanced too swiftly, surpassing the strength of the Death Eaters in no time.

As such, unless they made significant breakthroughs and became Divine Emperor-level Death Spirits, they wouldn’t be able to provide him much help in perilous times.

’Even if I don’t fail to overcome my fated death, they will likely still die if they stay with me. So, leaving them here to grow is the right choice,’ Vaan decided.

Speaking of Spirits, he wasn’t sure how he could protect his own Contracted Spirits from death.
