Chapter 1213: Locating the Grand Unity Human Clan’s Position

’If this isn’t the Grand Unity Human Clan’s gravity well, then what could it be?’ Vaan wondered.

Considering the Grand Unity Human Clan had incorporated the celestial bodies of countless galaxies to form its superplanet-type Holy Land, it was simply too vast.

Just by sheer landmass, it should be as large as a galaxy.

While the discovered dark spot was large, it was only comparable to a hypergiant star, far from coming closer to an entire galaxy.

As such, the dark spot shouldn’t look so small if it were only a few hundred light-years away. Even if space contraction was involved, Vaan was still confident that it wasn’t the Grand Unity Human Clan.

After all, the Grand Unity Human Clan’s Holy Land still had rings of incredibly large stars orbiting it. Yet, such celestial formations could not be seen around the dark spot.

’Since it’s not the Grand Unity Human Clan, then could it be the cause of Umbral Edge’s current situation?’ Vaan thought.

Considering the dark spot could even affect the Astral Soul Realm, he felt this possibility had a higher chance of being true.

However, if that were truly the case, it would also likely be dangerous. In fact, it could be the most dangerous place in the entirety of Umbral Edge.

Despite being in the Astral Soul Realm, the dark spot gave Vaan an ominous feeling.

It seemed as if it could also threaten him in this special dimension.

Undoubtedly, while it was powerful and dangerous, it was also special, which naturally piqued his curiosity.

Unfortunately, he had neither the strength nor the courage to uncover it.

To take the risk in his situation was sheer foolishness.

’Nevermind. Better find the way out, then focus on cultivation,’ Vaan quickly decided, pulling his gaze away from the unknown dark spot.

Shortly after, he left to look in other areas of the Astral Soul Realm.

During Vaan’s repeated visits, he had also realized that the time dilation between the Astral Soul Realm and reality wasn’t fixed. It varied and could even be controlled with a thought.

As long as he willed it, time could flow much faster in the Astral Soul Realm, thereby increasing his soul cultivation time significantly. As such, even if a week passed outside, possibly years could have passed inside.

This was his source of confidence in advancing to Divine Lord-level Soul Master in a week.

That said, it was not a simple feat to pull off.

After all, simultaneous stretching time and trying to focus on soul cultivation was extremely taxing due to the nature of the Everlasting Will Secret Art. Not only would it be twice as difficult to cultivate, but a single lapse in concentration could even be potentially fatal. řÂ𝐍ó𝐁Ɛ𝙎

’I won’t actually need many years to advance to Divine Lord-level Soul Master. It should only take me a month at most,’ Vaan silently estimated.

Given his Heaven-rank Soul Cultivation Technique, his unparalleled comprehension, and the holiest of holy lands for soul cultivation, it would be strange if he couldn’t make such rapid progress.

In fact, one month of real-time in the Astral Soul Realm was a very conservative estimate. It was unlikely to take that long.

’Now, where could the way out of Umbral Edge be?’ Vaan wondered.

Although he had parted several large bodies of dark, gaseous clouds, exposing new regions of space beyond, even more dark clouds eventually obscured his sight, preventing him from seeing farther.

Ultimately, Umbral Edge was incredibly vast, being even vaster than the Grand Unity Human Clan itself.

Fortunately, Vaan was akin to a god-like existence in the Astral Soul Realm. Thus, he was restricted by the normal limits of reality. In the Astral Soul Realm, he could exhibit abilities far beyond his usual limitations.

’Since every direction is similar, might as well focus on one direction,’ Vaan thought.

As long as he discovered the vast sea of stars, it would imply he had discovered the way outside the Umbral Edge.

’Although finding the sea of stars isn’t equivalent to finding the way out, it’ll point me in the right direction,’ Vaan remembered.

Ultimately, the Umbral Edge’s Spacetime Formation dragged everything into its vast and boundless dark realm. Thus, even if the vast sea of stars from the outside world was found, the same path couldn’t be taken to escape in reality.

However, he used the opposite direction to navigate past the Umbral Edge, possibly reaching the Grand Unity Human Clan.

’There is one problem with this option, though...’

Vaan wasn’t sure if the Umbral Edge’s Spacetime Formation also dragged everything in from the Grand Unity Human Clan’s side or not.

If so, then the only way to escape was to resolve the root of the problem – the Spacetime Formation.

For that reason, Vaan memorized the location of the dark spot.

However, he hoped that he would never have to resort to that last option. Undoubtedly, investigating the dark spot to uncover the secrets of the Umbral Edge and disabling the Spacetime Formation would be incredibly perilous, full of dangers.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, Vaan’s astral form rapidly shuttled through space and time, covering enormous distances as he headed in a singular path, recalling the general direction of the Grand Unity Human Clan.

Naturally, if he could discover the Grand Unity Human Clan, then he would want to see the vast sea of stars.

After all, the latter would require an extra trip in the opposite direction, wasting time and effort.

’Found it!’

Days later, Vaan’s eyes lit up, having finally escaped the finally body of dark clouds, which revealed a majestic grand sight of the Grand Unity Human Clan’s Holy Land before him.

Indeed, it was supremely vast and boundless for a superplanet with astronomical mass.

Before him was a galaxy-level superplanet orbited by ring formations of stars. Despite the true distance between him and the Grand Unity Human Clan being substantial, he could barely see the full picture from his side.

Moreover, its beauty could not be appreciated because the Astral Soul Realm had stripped it of its true colors.

Even so, the grandness and majesty of the Grand Unity Human Clan could still be sensed.

’So this is the Holy Land of an Empyrean-level Human Clan...’
