The Villain's Story

Chapter 888 - 888: Heir of Chaos.

Suleras is the king of Chaos Dragons, A Demonic Dragon as old as Valus, the firstborn of the Primordial Being of Chaos, Tiamat, the Mother of Chaos Dragons. He is considered to be equal to the current dragon king in all levels of ‘power’; however, this is wrong.

Suleras is stronger than the Current King of Dragons, Aloaris, as well as the Heads of the Four Dragon Houses, Valus, Izikil, Limika, and Alavuri. Suleras stands at a peak higher than them. He is the closest to the realm of ‘Primordial’. Suleras is also the only Dragon under the level of Primordial to be the closest to defeating ‘Aranus’.

Suleras has many titles, the most famous of which is King of No Kingdom and the Only Sane Chaos Dragon. Suleras is also the Guardian Dragon of Aranus. Suleras is also one of the two ‘Supreme’ beings active in the Abyss.

Suleras, the Supreme Dragon of Chaos, loathes the Serpent. He hates James Smith more than any other Supreme, partly because of what Aranus had to be involved in as a result of James’s plans.

However, Suleras and James have struck a deal, one that Suleras paid a great price for. The Chaos Dragon King now runs around the Abyss, avoiding the Abyssal Conscience, for he has become ‘weak’.

Why? This ‘weakness’ of the Chaos Dragon king stems from the fact that he is constantly dealing with his crazed brethren, as well as calming his mother. However, the deal he struck has dealt a major blow to his strength.

Suleras willingly bore the damage from the Weave and The Creator to preserve the bloodline of the Phoenix. To keep it with him and make sure the Phoenix remained ‘dead’, despite the Chalice turning back time, all in order to give it to Alan.

“Your blood is capable of removing the curse from the Chaos Dragons. The bloodline of the Phoenix can bring back the house of Chatan.”

Valus said, revealing the secret. Alan’s expression froze, as if he failed to understand.

‘What?’

He muttered in his mind, something that Valus could clearly hear as if he had said it. For a moment, Alan was stumped; never in his wildest expectations did he expect this.

His blood was able to revive the lost house of the Dragons? Was the Bloodline of the Phoenix this strong? He knew his regeneration was overpowered, and that he could lend it to others for a brief moment, but could he even do this?

“Don’t underestimate the Primordials. Even the Legacy of Death is powerful beyond measure, unfortunately, you have yet to grasp it… The same can be said for the Phoenix bloodline as well.”

“Why… didn’t the Phoenix do it herself then? If she can revive House… Chatan, why me?”

“Because ‘She’ is a Bloodless being, her bloodline is the characteristic power of her species, capable of being passed down, but the Phoenix herself is bloodless. And no Chaos Dragon other than Lady Tiamat can withstand her flames. In the later Iterations, James figured out that the power of the Phoenix, infused in blood, is capable of reducing the effects of the curse.

However, this is temporary, but there exists a way to make it permanent. If the Power of Life can mix with the Power of Death, using blood as a medium, it can completely remove the effects of the curse. Life and Death create a strange, chaotic harmony. This Harmony completely pushes the curse out of the body.

This harmony is achieved by the consent of the Phoenix Liorathen and my mother, Ariel, with Dominatus as a backup in case things go wrong. James linked those two to your existence to make it so. Honestly, the bastard used almost all of his luck when he found this.

Not only did it make it possible for him to make you as unkillable as he could before you can truly assimilate life and death, and be granted a mother’s blessing, it also brought Suleras under his heel. Suleras would do anything to bring house Chatan back, even become his servant.”

Valus took a deep breath, as Alan was still reeling from shock, digesting all of the information. He stuttered in his mind.

‘… No, all his luck was used when he found [Dominatus]… or me.’

He clenched his fist. His Unique Skill made it possible for James to try the most impossible things daily. If anything went wrong to a catastrophic level, he could always count on Dominatus to intervene and make things ‘normal’.

Alan gritted his teeth in anger; his Unique Skill was being worked to the bone before he even had a chance to use it!

Valus chuckled, aware of the thoughts Alan had in his mind. He conjured a cup filled with blood red wine and took a hearty sip. Alan’s nose twitched; the smell wasn’t as bad as the weird concoction from before… but it was just as powerful.

Previously, Alan was overwhelmed with the urge to vomit, but this one made his eyes release ungodly amounts of tears. The boy didn’t comment on it, however.

“You’re not only the Descendant of Death, Heir to house Shivalkulan, but you’re also the Descendant of Chaos, Heir to house Chatan. This is great, actually, if fate is really cruel to you and you get stuck in the Abyss, you can call on both houses to help you.”

Alan raised his brows, eager to know more.

“The House of Death maintains an active presence in the Abyss; we have a few demon lords under us, and you’d be surprised by how loyal they are. Similarly, if push comes to shove, you can also revive House Chatan. This isn’t just on James, but something we all actively contributed to.

We made a big mistake when we disregarded Aranus and let the Abyss do whatever it pleased. But not with you. Even now, Azmakul, Lanesha, Kulak, and even Mother have placed layers upon layers of magic on you to prevent it from happening. We made that mistake once, and we’d be damned if we let it happen again.

The modifications James made to your existence were also to combat this, to make sure you at least survive until you reach the realm of Mythic and cement yourself as an ‘Unkillable’ existence. An existence valuable to the Weave.

You were designed to be able to survive no matter what; the sequence of events that led to this is proof.”
