The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter
Chapter 464: Aria’s Wrong Path
Aria rested her chin softly on the top of his head.
"You want to know about summoning magic, right?"
"Well, yeah. Do you have any?"
"I have a few methods," Aria said quietly. "Not too many, but I do have a few. I will write them down for you. I will put the book beside you on the bed so that when you wake up tomorrow morning you can take a look at it."
Adrian smiled.
"Okay, that’s great."
He took a slow breath of the cool night air.
"Now, about your blessings. Two blessings, in fact." He said and let out a long, heavy sigh.
"I am actually pretty nervous to check them out."
"Why are you nervous?" Aria asked. "I should be the one who is nervous."
"Well, who doesn’t get nervous when their daughter is going to go through a life-changing reveal?" 𝖿𝖗ⅇℴ𝑚
Aria just shook her head from her perch on his shoulders.
"Life-changing reveal what? It is not like finding out the name is going to change anything about me. We are just going to find out about something that we never knew but always existed."
Adrian chuckled softly.
"Yeah, I guess so."
He stopped walking and stood near a patch of trees.
’System, show me Aria’s blessings.’
[Last updated information on Aria Sterling: 31 Days Ago.]
[Demonic Blessing 1: Mana Core.]
[Description: An upgradable blessing that gets stronger the more suffering and trauma the user goes through. Current Stage: Mana Core]
[Demonic Blessing 2: War Goddess.]
[Description: The more the user fights, the stronger they get. If the user does not engage in combat for five minutes, all accumulated buffs will go down to zero.]
Looking at these two screens hovering in his vision, Adrian just stared in total silence.
He looked at the first one again.
’Okay, so that explains certain things, I guess.’
He frowned. She did experience a horrific amount of hardships and torture in her past life. But he didn’t really know if those stats and blessings carried over to this current life after the regression.
’System, do you know what the first, original form of this blessing was?’
[The first form of this blessing was: Healthy Body.]
Adrian blinked. ’What do you mean healthy body? Give me the description.’
[Healthy Body: The user has slightly higher immunity and higher physical stamina when compared to regular people.]
Adrian frowned as he saw this.
’Wait. So the reason she even got to SSS-rank mana veins is probably entirely because of this specific blessing, right? And this Mana Core that she has right now, it is probably far above SSS-rank.’
[Affirmative. Your guess is accurate.]
Adrian sucked in a deep, sharp breath.
’Holy shit. Does that mean it can get even better?’
He immediately shook his head. He forcefully pushed that thought out of his mind.
’No, don’t tell me that. Do. Not. Tell me that. I don’t want to see her suffer even more.’
He bit his lower lip really hard. He tried his best to not imagine the horrific scenarios of her past life where she suffered enough to evolve a basic stamina trait into a mythical, reality-breaking Mana Core. The sheer amount of pain required for that evolution made his stomach turn.
He just pushed himself to focus on something else to distract himself, and his gaze ended up on the other blessing.
’This War Goddess thing. What do you mean engaged in combat? What exactly is defined as combat? I need details.’
[The best way to get accurate information is to test it out. I cannot calculate or test things that are outside of the Dungeon domain.]
’But you kind of calculated things before, right? For example, when I was fighting the High Elves in the forest.’
[Your body is passively connected to the Dungeon due to the Dungeon Link skill. Aria Sterling’s body is not connected to yours.]
’Oh, okay then.’
He thought about it for a short while.
"Aria, do you have a spell that can reduce your weight?"
"Yeah, I can do that."
She paused for a second and looked down at him.
"Papa, are you saying I am fat?"
Adrian’s eyes widened.
"No, no, no. It is not that. It is just that right now we are in a Dungeon’s extended area, and there is a limit to what I can do. I need you to be lower than twenty kilograms so that I can send you directly into my Dungeon without alerting anything. I want you to test something out inside so that i can learn more about your second blessing."
Aria pouted slightly. She just looked down at him with slightly narrowed eyes before she sighed.
"Okay, Papa."
Adrian immediately felt her weight go down on his shoulders, but it didn’t really go down by much. She only felt slightly lighter than before.
"Okay then," Adrian said. "Tell me when you are ready and I will send you into the Dungeon."
"I am ready."
Adrian immediately opened a small portal beneath her and sent her into the Dungeon.
Once she was inside the empty room of the Dungeon, she saw a blue system screen pop up in front of her face.
[I will send a few basic monsters. I want you to fire some magic spells at them.]
Aria nodded at the floating text.
"Okay."
Right after that, a basic undead skeleton appeared out of nowhere and ran toward her. Aria casually raised her hand and immediately created a bunch of sharp icicles and sent them flying forward, completely shattering the skeleton.
Standing safely outside in the real world, Adrian looked at the system screen that actively showed the statistics of everything going on inside the room.
[No combat boosts observed.]
’Oh, so magic doesn’t work, huh?’
He looked into the Dungeon through the system screen. He made the system send out another prompt for Aria.
[Try to engage in close-quarters physical combat.]
Aria read the screen and nodded while another skeleton rushed towards her.
